Wilsmere House Care Home has 86 beds which has four individual communities within the home that provides person-centred nursing, dementia care to older people and provide specialised care for adults with life-long physical conditions. Wilsmere House Care Home is conveniently located close to train and underground stations, the nursing care home is within easy reach of public transport and facilities. Wilsmere House Care Home do provide Respite Care .

The home offers a number of facilities, including a large gym, in-house physiotherapy, a hairdressing salon and a low-level kitchen ,Conservatory with patio area and a caffe providing refreshments throughout the day . Wilsmere House Care Home also has beautiful gardens with patios and tastefully decorated en-suite bedrooms. The home has free wifi throughout the home .

Residents are offered flexibility around mealtimes and special dietary requirements are catered for. The home offers an extensive activities programme where residents can pursue hobbies and interests. The home has two minibuses and residents go out every week either to the local shopping centre , garden centres , Parks and attending weekly community meetings .

My mother was a resident at Wilsmere House since March 2017. Throughout her residence she was extremely well cared for, always looked relaxed, clean and smart. Unfortunately, mum lost her battle with her illness in August and the home was excellent with her end of life care. They kept the family well
informed and involved. Mum passed away peacefully in no pain or distress with my sister and I. Mum was supported well and unobtrusively by the lovely, caring staff and we have been advised and supported by the home, following her passing.

Mum had been in another home but it was closing down. As mum was moving to an unknown home I had concerns of what it would be like. I found all the staff to be very proficient and caring from the nurse who was with mum when she passed away 2 hours before we could get to the home and to one member of
staff whose support and outside the box help were beyond words.

Mum came into Wilsmere just over two years ago. She has always been treated with warmth, dignity and respect.
Although mum had dementia, she was content and settled at Wilsmere and felt at home.
I am very grateful to all the staff for their kindness and dedication.

My sister was admitted in July 2017, she is cared and looked after extremely well according to her needs. She is kept clean, clothes are washed regularly. Her room and bed covers regularly changed.
I would fully recommend Wilsmere House as the staff are so caring, friendly and compassionate to my sister.
She is in a home from home. Excellent.

As soon as we entered the home we were made to feel very welcome and felt assured that my godfather would be well looked after.
The staff were always friendly and really cared for the residents, rather than just being a job.

I would recommend this care home to anyone who needed one because they looked after my brother to a very high standard from start to finish.
The staff were very loving and caring towards their patients, and their relatives.
They were always there when you needed them, they know their jobs and they
all did it well without any complaints from the staff or me.
Even in my brothers last days, they knew what they were doing and done it professionally when we as a family were all over the place.
At the end, my brother went peacefully with dignity and respect and I can't thank the staff at Wilsmere House enough for all that they did.

We always had a beautiful welcome from staff, when we visited accompanied with an update on the resident's progress and stated of health.
When we had any queries, they were addressed immediately.

Sadly, our family friend passed away just over a week after moving to Wilsmere. However, during his brief stay there, the staff could not have been more caring and attentive towards him, making sure he was comfortable and content. Their support to us as visitors was also outstanding - compassionate
and supportive. We would not hesitate to recommend Wilsmere.

Daily care is average, but there is a staffing shortage, and very often the standards of living for residents is poor. For example 1) the resident will be sitting in their stool for 2 hours (which can lead to skin problems) and 2) residents are gathered in a corridor together with nothing to do, because
there needs to be a staff attendant on them in other spaces, like the TV room or in the garden. I would only recommend here if there is a lot of family support.

Everybody here has been kind, understanding caring and friendly. They are all like one big happy family. The food was excellent and there was not one unhappy resident!
If my mother has to stay in a care home again it MUST be this one as I know she will be safe and well looked after.

Some of the establishments I worked at are 5-star Hotels, Fine Dining Restaurants and Luxury Senior Living Homes. I’m a very inspirational, detail-oriented, Disciplined and Creative Chef. I always try to create a positive environment in and around my Kitchen. I pride myself on preparing high-quality food and what makes me very happy is to see our residents enjoy the dishes that my team and I create.


Our hospitality team are committed to providing seasonal home-cooked menus offering choice, nutrition and quality- including exciting menus to specific individual dietary needs and all appetites. We celebrate every one of our resident’s Birthday and my Kitchen team prepare homemade decorated cakes for their Birthday. The beautiful warm smile that our residents give when we present the Birthday cake is our greatest inspiration.


The food we produce is hugely important to our residents which is why it is absolutely imperative that we always get their feedback and continuously meet the needs and nutritional quota of every single resident who chooses to make Wilsmere House their home.
