This new regime has certainly brought many new changes and everyone is more happy with the work they do.

My wife has now settled well in the home. Was impressed by the receptionist on first visiting the home.

I found all the staff very helpful, kind, compassionate, caring, thoughtful, considerate and approachable.

My brother is most definitely in the perfect care home. All of us brothers (2) and sisters (3) are deeply appreciative of all the care he is receiving. I also wish to say how helpful all the staff are and how friendly they are. Thank you to you all.

Dad stayed at River View just over a year. After moving to another floor after the first month to appropriate care, some of the carers/nurses were amazing and really took care and understood, not only dad's needs but others in The Oaks. The nurses there as well took charge and gave help to those who needed it. We all felt they were definitely overworked and needed an extra pair of hands every day! The food improved with the new chef. I can never thank the carers enough. Please keep your good carers and give them all the support they need!

My Wife came to River View last September 2017 in need of nursing care. She was made very welcome and has a very nice room which is very clean and comfortable. She knows the caring and nursing staff who are unfailingly kind. We like the fact that they work in this unit and are not moved about the building. I visit daily and my Wife is always washed and in fresh clothes. Her hair is brushed and they paint her nails. The lounge is very pleasant and my Wife has her own reclining armchair. After almost 7 months I cannot fault River View.

The staff are first class, from the cleaners and carers to the nurses and office staff, male and female. They welcome me every day. My mother is well looked after.

My brother was only able to stay here for 3 days before he died. Nevertheless, the response to myself and my brother was very caring and supportive. They were very united in their desire to accommodate both my brother's and my needs before he died. Even to the extent of contacting a minister at very short notice on my behalf to visit my brother to contact him before he passed. All the staff without exception were professional and efficient.

Very pleased with all aspects of the home.

Good facilities, excellent nursing and care staff.

Hello, just wanted to say a 'big thank you' to the team on Oakes Ward for providing a loving, caring and safe environment for our Mother. Mum is 92 and sadly after falling out of bed during a hospital stay and having to endure major surgery, she was unable to return home and has been at River View for over 18 months. This Christmas our father joined her for respite care receiving a warm welcome and made to feel at home immediately.

The team of ten are amazing. Plus a brilliant activity leader. WELL DONE EVERYONE and THANK YOU.

We are very happy to know our relative is safe and well looked after.

Mum is currently being looked after at River View. She's very poorly and confused with advanced Alzheimers and other issues but the staff are lovely with her. She needs help with all areas of her life but they do it without complaint and with humour. We had tried another home for mum before moving her into River View but were very disappointed.

The family are able to visit at any time and can go off to the kitchen and make ourselves a tea or coffee. These two (what could be classed as) minor things make life for our family.

Our thanks to everyone who makes mum's life easier and more meaningful.

I cannot fault the day staff but the night/agency staff are appalling. They lack compassion and it is always different staff which confuses dementia patients. The food is quite frankly disgusting and the same thing is served every day. The home is under-staffed and the day staff work so hard, but are always short. Why don't you pay more to permanent staff then you wouldn't need to pay agency/bank staff. It just doesn't make sense. Your website refers to fresh home cooked meals by a chef. No chef on site!!!

My father was in the latter stages of Progressive Supranuclear Palsy. This is a rare neurological disease with no cure and is so very cruel. The staff here were amazing. So very caring and attentive. They all took the symptoms of and to understand PSP. We always felt dad was comfortable and felt safe. I cannot thank these lovely ladies enough for everything you did for dad - you all made him so comfortable and nothing was ever a trouble. My family and I cannot thank you enough. Dad was very very fond of you all and if he were able to tell you, he would most definitely have told you so. This nursing home is a special place, one that practices respect & well being. My memories will always be of the staff and how happy dad was - thank you to all the ladies on Oaks Ward - very special people.
