We are pleased with the care my husband is receiving.
He will smile at the staff warmly which makes us feel happy.
Our only concern is the garden and lack of space due to the 80% of it uphill, we would worry about our loved one falling.

If he was only in a wheelchair this would be ok but the patio area is not a large area for all the residents.

One-to-one carers are lovely.

It could be beneficial to residents if a pather went around the whole garden so it could be enjoyed from all angles.

I am very happy with the level of care my mother receives at River View Care Centre. One to one carers and duty nurses are kind, considerate with my mums needs and always communicate with me.
I would like a photo board of all staff so I could name everyone.

I love the monthly afternoon teas, it feels like going out.

The staff at the care home are genuinely amazing. They looked after my mother-in-law with such love, care and kindness. I am so grateful that she was placed here and I know that she came to love all the staff, kissing them on their hands and calling them her friends. The dignity and respect for her and their support to me and the family in vising her to the end was special and professional, yet it seemed like being with trusted family. Thank you for taking such good care of her.

My mother was a resident for respite, but sadly, passed away during her time there. The care she received was first class. The staff were amazing, so caring and kind and couldn’t do enough to help Mum and ourselves. I’m so grateful to them for making Mum's last days happy ones.

Mum was transferred here from hospital and we initially had reservations because of previous reports heard. However, we discovered that, in fact, River View is a warm and welcoming place and all of the staff we met were helpful, kind and well-trained.

Caring environment with staff wanting to do their best for residents. My mum has dementia and is a high fall risk and the home is always keen to minimise risks. Food is good and activities are planned for those who want to get involved. Nice laid back atmosphere.

I have visited my friend at River View, Oaks unit after 3 years due to COVID. He is looking well despite all the medical issues he has, he is even better than me. I put it down to good care and support which he is receiving. The staff are caring and nothing I can falter in his care.

The food was tasty and we enjoyed the bingo afternoon.

I visited my uncle after almost 2 years, he has gained weight, he looked well, was well dressed and was talking though confused. You won't believe he was discharged from hospital dying but he is very well thank you to all the staff at the care home.

We did enjoy the sing-along with the activity man. He was brilliant.

Mum went in Thursday for respite. I turned up today at 12.45 to find her on an unmade bed, stinking, toothbrush and flannel bone dry! You wouldn't treat an animal like this! I am horrified, CQC needs to investigate, hardly any staff about, I have taken mum out of this vile place! Find a better home guys. Do not use.

As a family member and church members we came to visit my aunt and we were complimentary of the work you do. Despite the challenges you face with our aunt's behaviour of shouting at staff, the staff who were attending to her handled it very well and she calmed down. She was looking clean and told us she has a shower. She looks healthy and it is sad she will be leaving. I will arrange for a hair dresser to plait her hair. We all felt welcome.
