My mum spent two weeks respite at St Mark's, and honestly, I couldn't fault a single thing. My mum is extremely anxious, and we were worried how she would get on. All staff were so friendly and helpful, and when we visited, my mum smiled, this was a street-free time which we needed as a family. Thank you to everyone who had anything to do with helping our mum! 100% happy to use this home again when it's needed during Mum's dementia journey.

My friend was transferred to St Mark's after spending 3 weeks in hospital.
When visiting her I found the staff very welcoming and friendly and thought it was a safe and caring environment.

We particularly enjoyed on warmer days sitting in the beautiful gardens.

Mum has been at St Mark's since late 2023. She transferred there from hospital where she had been for 10 weeks. Prior to that, Mum had wanted to stay at home with carers, but that wasn't working and Mum had been lonely and depressed for many years.
The transition to St Mark's was difficult, and it took a few months to settle. However, there is now a very marked difference in Mum. The staff get her up and dressed and she spends time in the dayroom. When the weather is nice she spends time in the beautiful gardens which she enjoys very much.
The staff are all very kind and care for my Mum very well. The last time I visited she told me she felt very lucky to be staying there. She is more like Mum of 7 or 8 years ago, no longer depressed or lonely.

I am more than happy with the care Mum receives. Thank you.

Daytime staff and nurses have provided a loving, safe and caring environment for our loved one. Windsor Unit has been our loved one's home for four years and every staff member who cares for our loved one is friendly and respectful, we are informed of any changes and can see that our loved one trusts the staff. They are supportive to us when the days get difficult and challenging. We are more than happy with the care received.

The staff have been very kind and helpful in every way. I have benefitted from my time here in my recovery from a broken femur. My only concern is that it is very noisy a times, particularly from other people's televisions and conversations. Also, other residents shouting and banging at night. The time spent on the grounds was particularly enjoyable. Overall a good experience.

We attempt to visit every two weeks but only on a Sunday so are unable to comment on activities as we haven't seen any. In the early days of our visits, we noted that our relative was often unshaven with un-washed hair and in need of a manicure. However, this has improved in the last several months. Some members of staff are particularly helpful when we visit for which we are very grateful.

Mum has been here now for 4 months and I have found the care team very welcoming and extremely professional, mum had suffered quite a lot of trauma before moving here and understandably will take a while to settle and recognise her situation so with the help of the care team and my family we will do everything to make her comfortable.

I can not put into words how much my family and I appreciate all the help and care given to our mum on a daily basis, she always appears happy and relaxed when we visit her. She will often say herself how lucky she feels to be where she is! We recently celebrated a great milestone birthday with mum, which was a wonderful occasion, the staff on the Windsor unit couldn't have done more for us to make the day extra special. Many thanks to all of them.

When she was first admitted to St Mark's, we were all filled with dread as to how she would cope away from us all, but that fear changed to relief as we saw how she was treated. The staff from bottom to top all appeared to make it their main aim to make sure she quickly settled and became part of the happy group of residents, nothing was too much trouble and the personal care she received was outstanding. the staff are excellent and always had time for us family members as well as their priority, the residents, completely recommended.

My mother is in the specialist dementia unit, where she has lived for 4.5 years. I am consistently impressed by the quality of nursing care, the attention to detail, the personal relationship the cares have with my mother and particularly the low turnover of staff which means that my mother's individual needs are understood. From my very first visit to view the home, to the moving my mum in and the transition after 4 weeks in hospital, the Windsor Suite staff have supported both my mum and myself through this difficult time.

The staff are not only kind and caring, but bring lots of experience and knowledge to their roles. Every time I visit I am very pleased with the care being given to Mum and all the other residents in this specialised unit. I am able to leave each visit knowing that she is being well cared for and this reduces my worry. The wonderful staff are friendly and caring with lots of smiles. Thank you all.

Arrival yesterday was great as my stepdad was very worried but was relaxed when all the staff and management were so caring to him. This is our second time we have had to choose a care home and we were so pleased with the way my stepmother was treated at St Mark's we knew this was the place for my stepdad. She was there with St Mark's for 18 months, it took time but she was so happy with all the care and love they shared so we did not look for another home, St Mark's was the best place for my stepdad.

My Mother has been a resident of St Mark’s Care Home for over a year. She transferred over from another care home where sadly she had been confined to her bedroom for three years. The change in her whole demeanour is startling. The amazing caregivers ensure she is assisted out of bed every day, washed, fed and entertained. She has gone from being consistently aggressive to a calm, happy lady. She always smells amazing and gives me a bright smile when I visit. I’ll always be eternally grateful to the core carers based in the Windsor Unit, as their dedication to duty and sheer professionalism is outstanding. They always warmly greet me and go out of their way to make my visit comfortable. I’m no longer so anxious as I know she is safe, comfortable and extremely well cared for. Overall, I thoroughly recommend St Mark’s Care Home.
