This beautiful care & nursing home has been supporting the local community of Aylesbury for over 10 years, offering skilled and responsive nursing, residential and dementia care. Residents and their relatives value the Westgate Healthcare family ethos and warm relationships that Hampden Hall achieves.

All ensuite bedrooms are generously sized enabling residents to personalise them as they wish and providing staff with the space to safely support each resident as needed.

Residents have the choice of several charming living and dining areas in which to relax or socialise.

The facilities have been designed to enhance resident care and quality of life, as well as optimise cleanliness and help minimise the spread of any infections, this includes wood effect flooring, hand washing facilities in every room and hand gel dispensers throughout the home.

Staff are very kind. The food is good, but not a lot of fresh fruit. Lots of activities if residents would like to participate. On the whole very easy going and they also welcome dogs.

I was very pleased with the care my wife received. I was always kept up to date with the condition of my wife. All the staff are pleasant and friendly. No communication with the manager over the period of my wife's stay.

My mother spent the last six months of her life at Hampden Hall. I was impressed throughout by the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. Communications were excellent - I always received a phone call if there was a problem (unlike the previous two care homes my mother was in) and the lead carer
handled the last few weeks of my mother's life with great sensitivity and understanding. Thank you for all your care and assistance during this difficult time.

Staff are friendly and caring. They treat my mother with respect and always make time to chat when they bring her meals or drinks. The food here is excellent. Although my mother chooses not to join in activities, there is always plenty going on. I feel confident that she is being looked after well.

My husband was a resident here for eight years, and from the start we were always aware of how much the staff cared about the residents. We felt able to discuss his problems whenever this was necessary and if issues arose, they were sorted promptly. Everyone knew him by name, from the senior staff to
the cleaners and kitchen staff, and all were happy to talk to us when we invited. Nothing was ever too much trouble.

Very kind, caring staff. Food is good - well presented.


Thought bed linen/covers could be better but room well presented.


Maybe activities could be more to stimulate/involve patients, but appreciate it's not easy due to the mental capacity and physical ability of all patients.

The building is perfect; light, well decorated and very clean.

My mum's care has been marvellous to witness. The staff are very caring and kind. Everyone acted in a very prompt timescale if we needed to query anything or ask for something for our mum. Every time I visited I noticed all the residents were very well looked after.

I cannot fault this care home. My mother spent the last 17 months of her life here, receiving 'end of life care' and suffering from dementia.
The home is very well run and best efforts were made by all staff to provide her with excellent care in all respects.
It is clear that staff are very well trained,
and that the right kind of 'caring' individuals are recruited and well supervised.

A well-run facility, much improvement after the disgusting carpets had been removed. If anything, the flooring was the worst experience I had ever seen and I should know, I am an authorised Health and Safety Inspector. Otherwise, staff are very good, attentive and my aged aunt didn't know what day of
the week it was but nonetheless, I have the utmost admiration for all the staff. Well done. Especially the sister who is a star.

Private room.
Allowed own furniture, pictures and ornaments.
Nurses gave visitors the necessary information.
Slings and hoists (for most residents) available.
My only concern was that on the second floor, the door to the fire escape was kept locked - keypad.

Juliana Mensah

Job Title: Home Manager Joined: 2009

Juliana has worked with Westgate Healthcare since 2009, starting as a Unit Manager. Her work ethic, dedication and compassion led to a natural progression to Home Manager at our sister home, St Pauls. In 2021 Juliana became Home Manager at Hampden Hall and we are delighted to have her as part of the team.


Her passion for care and dedication to her residents make Juliana a wonderful asset to the team and she looks forward to leaving her mark at Hampden Hall.
