Chandos Lodge Nursing Home Ltd

My Wife has now been resident in Chandos Lodge for four years during which time her Lewy Body Dementia has progressed slowly to now being extremely severe. But also in that time the care, attention, love, and affection she has continued to receive has been, and continues to be superb, not ever diminishing. The Management and Staff are always most helpful, conscientious, friendly, and professional. They have always ensured that she has had the best attention, medically, physically, sensitively, and affectionately ; the quality of her overall safe care cannot be faulted in my view. Having conducted research into other Care/Nursing Homes extensively prior her admission, there is nowhere else that I would wish her to be than here in Chandos Lodge, which is managed and run (very well) as a home (small 'h') for all Residents, besides being a Home, as in the title. If one is seeking somewhere reliably and consistently caring and loving, then one needs to look no further than Chandos Lodge.

Nothing is too much trouble for the staff at Chandos Lodge

Our experience with my dad has been just as powerful, especially in contrast to what came before. My dad, who has Parkinson's disease, was unfortunately not cared for well at the hospital and we genuinely believed he was in his final days. Everything changed when he arrived at Chandos Lodge. Within just a few weeks, he had put on weight, regained his colour, and is now eating very well indeed-and he continues to thrive there as a current resident.

My sister has been in for 6 months I can't rate the lodge high enough everyone so kind the place is spotless have helped my sister immensely everyone makes visitors feel very welcome the area is very nice and peaceful

Please pass on my gratitude to everyone involved in his care, from the nurses and carers to the kitchen and cleaning staff. It truly takes a team to create such a positive environment.

Management and staff all friendly, kind and caring. I have previous experience with other care homes, Chandos Lodge goes way out front with any of the others. I am very grateful that my husband has a place there.

My mother has been cared for at Chandos Lodge Care Home after first being admitted for palliative care and was expected to live for only a few days, that was eight years ago now. She has been cared for very well by all the staff. Chandos Lodge is a very lovely care home, I fully recommend Chandos Lodge for anyone looking for a well-run, friendly care home.

My mother-in-law has been a long-term resident at Chandos Lodge Care Home, as a dementia patient. Over the progression of her disease, she has always received a high-quality of care and as her next of kin, I have always been consulted on all issues involved in her care. All the staff I have met have shown compassion and professionalism in their work. The attention received by the local GP service is also excellent.

I cannot praise this care home highly enough.

My mother spent 129 days in hospital and when we were told she was moving into a care home we were happy. We went and had a look around we were welcomed with open arms by the manager and all the staff. They did everything for us from sorting doctors change over to to getting her hair cut. My dad and I are there every day and we are welcomed with a cup of tea and coffee. my mother has settled in very well and she is loved by all the staff. Chandos Lodge strives to run their nursing home like one big, happy family and we would recommend them very highly.

The manager is pleasant and accomodating and the whole team are very hardworking.

I would like to thank all members of staff at Chandos Lodge Care Home for the care and consideration shown to both me and my husband over the last few months. They have all shown us great kindness and have dealt with my husband’s Alzheimer’s sensitively. I appreciate their warm welcome each time I visit and feel that he is in safe hands with them.

I was blown away by the experience today at Chandos Lodge. The staff set an outstanding example - friendly, attentive and made you feel at home. I feel very satisfied that my Grandma is in safe hands and would highly recommend this nursing home to others searching for the best care.

Chandos Lodge is as close to home as you can get, it has a family feel to it, very friendly and professional staff, meals made freshly every day and happy to make something if they don’t like it. Can't say how happy I am that my dads there and so well looked after.

My mother recently passed away on 9th April. She was at Chandos Lodge care home Farnham Common. She had dementia, also she had a stroke. Her caring needs were 24/7 and the care she received was very good from all the staff. She was under their care from 2008 to 2019. During her stay, I would visit her as much as I could. Each time I visited the care home I always found the home clean and tidy and the food provided was also very good. The owners of the home were always very polite and would inform me if my mother needed anything ie new clothes, her hair if it needed trimming. So without any doubt, I have no problem recommending this care home.
