The overall experience of the Henley boat trip was excellent. The only "problem" was that of roadwork delays and totally out of anyones control. Lovely relaxing experience. Lucy, the captain explained about the river, countryside, using a large map to show people. Care home staff had relevant medication drinks and snacks for residents needs.

This is a 1st class care home . The Nurses and carers are 1st rate and great at their jobs. A special mention to Sonika nuse
Excellent nurse and communication.
The activity team are also 1st class.

My only concern is that the reception is not always manned which means access is sometimes very hard this said Gemma the day time receptionist is very welcoming and knowledgeable.

I visit my aunt twice a week and it's always a pleasure to see the quality of care she receives and reassuring to know she is in safe hands. She is 104 and is happy, safe and warm and has a very pleasant room. The staff are always helpful and cheerful and make visiting a nice experience.

This was the best choice for a residential care home, for several reasons, social services confirmed this aswell. The wife has settled in nicely, although still very demanding. At times, distance from family is a problem but we all do the best we can to visit whenever. Activities each day help a lot, including residents meeting etc to notify the residents and also deal with any problems or concerns they may have.

My sister has been a resident at The Heights for many years, the care she receives it amazing the staff: the activities staff. The management are axceptional nothing is two much trouble for any of them. Junior and Tina do a amazing job with the activities keeping the residents involved and stimulating them which is very important. The chef Kim does a great choice with the menu's.

We live locally so had heard on the Village grapevine that The Heights had a great reputation. But when my 99 year old Mum had to be admitted to respite care at short notice we got the opportunity to judge for ourselves. And even though are expectations were high they have been exceeded. We have been bowled over by the standard of loving care that my dear Mum is receiving. ALL the staff without exception are happy, smiley, caring, just lovely people. The Manager, Emma, runs such a grand operation, supported superbly by Gemma. Gemma must be the best ambassador for any Care Home in the world. The entertainment team of Junior, Queen & Tina are also exceptional - infectious fun, delivered with such loving care. And the Nursing, Catering & Cleaning Team are all also delightful. Everyone gets on with everything & the whole place feels just so wonderfully warm & welcoming. I cannot praise the care more highly than.& absolutely wouldn't hesitate to recommend The Heights to anyone - thank you!

Excellent staff, friendly and always helpful. The activities are varied and interesting and happen daily (except Sundays). So far my husband (in care) and I are very happy with the way he is looked after. Having looked at many of her homes, the heights certainly comes out on top. The food is delicious with variety at every meal.

I'm consistently impressed with the high quality and variety of activities offered at The Heights. I honestly expected my Mum to decline most of them, yet she takes part in almost every session. I firmly believe that this level of stimulation has helped slow down the progression of her illness.
The activities themselves are varied engaging and fun and the regular visits from outside entertainers are also of an excellent standard. The Activity Team most importantly are kind and caring to the residents and always welcoming to family and visitors.

They are exceptional at what they do and this review is to express my heartfelt thanks for their hard work.

I was honoured to be asked to be a judge in The Heights Talent Show. It was a most enjoyable event for us all. The activities team worked hard to put on a really good show and the participants were very good and you could see the joy in their faces and how happy they were to take part. The bar was high and I wanted to give everyone ten points! My mum really enjoyed the day and mostly we all had a lot of fun. Thank you to everyone for putting this great event together.

I have visited The Heights on several occasions. In the past I have visited many care residencies. The Heights is one of the best care homes I have visited. Its spacious lounge is well laid out with comfortable furnishing and tasteful decorations. Patients' rooms are kept clean and tidy. The whole building and gardens are kept in excellent condition. Every member of staff shows kindness, compassion, patience and understanding when dealing with residents. They are kind and friendly to visitors. They deserved to be recognised for their commitment to what must be a very difficult job.

My husband has been at The Heights for almost six months. It was hard to let others help him, but I soon realised that he's got a lovely home, where he can be loomed after safer than I could keep him. The caring staff are fantastic. In fact, all of the staff are great, especially the friendly receptionists and the excellent entertainment manager. I definitely recommend this home.

The summer BBQ was a great afternoon with the chef and his team of helpers doing a lovely spread.
There was a very good celebrity impersonator who managed to get the residents and guests to sing away and stir up fond memories.

Every member of staff went over and above their duties to ensure the residents were well attended to and had a lovely time.

The most impressive (and important) thing about this care home is the staff. From my very first visit, they have all shown a high level of compassion and care and do all that they can to make the experience as positive as it can be for both residents and visitors. They make the effort to get to know the residents and their families and always make you feel welcome when you visit your loved one.
A particular thank you to the entertainment team for the weekly Bingo sessions that coincide with my visit to my Dad (and for saving me a seat every week!)

It is a great comfort to know that my Dad is being cared for by such a friendly and compassionate team.

My wife only entered The Heights under the illusion of being a respite visitor as she refused it being a permanent issue.

After that she was told she couldn't go back home for safety reasons due to her condition. She wasn't happy but has accepted the situation, helped by the compassionate staff.

I began my career in Health and Social Care back in 2002 in my hometown of North Wales, working as a Care Assistant. It was there that I discovered my passion for supporting others. In 2007, I became a Registered Nurse, earning a BSc (Hons) in Nursing, and in 2015, I completed a master’s degree in management.

Over the years, I’ve worked in Nursing and Dementia care environments, and I genuinely love what I do. Caring for others is such a privilege - being a part of someone’s life is incredibly special and something I value deeply.
