My mum arrived at Shelburne Lodge on 9th December 2023. Instantly she was treated with kindness and respect. Me and my family were made to feel like one of the Shelburne family. The whole time we were there the management and staff were so kind and helpful to us. Unfortunately, my mum passed on 2nd Jan 2024 and was treated with dignity and kindness and helped us through a difficult time. Thank you for everything.

The management team were very welcoming and warm in explaining how Dad would fit in and what it would be like. All the staff nursing and healthcare had were very attentive and provided great care and spent time to know Dad. This has helped Dad settle into life at Shelburne. Dad takes part in activities which he enjoys. All the staff are happy to stop and help explain to us or Dad which is encouraging as this helps us know how Dad is feeling or anything which we can do. Thanks, Shelburne Lodge.

The entertainment and activities available for residents and their guests is varied and age-appropriate. Mum particularly likes listening to live classical sets and singers. The donation of a piano to the home took place as Mum moved in. This timely event has enabled Mum to continue to play, something she has done all her life, an oasis of familiarity as she settled into the new daily routine and makes Shelburne Lodge her home!
