The team take pride in the Willow Brook dementia suite, where the dedicated Dementia Lead and team provide specialised care in a calm, supportive environment, prioritising the physical and emotional well-being of residents.

At the heart of their care is their commitment to great food. The Culinary Team, led by a skilled Chef, prepares wholesome, seasonal menus daily, promoting the health and well-being of residents with every meal.

A vibrant activities programme enriches the lives of residents, offering a variety of engagements tailored to individual abilities and interests. Whether enjoying the landscaped courtyard gardens, exploring local attractions on a minibus outing, or participating in creative workshops, there’s something for everyone.

Brentwood Care Home has been very supportive in my father's move from his home to the care home. He has been able to furnish and decorate his room with furniture and pictures from his home. The staff are extremely caring and have made him feel at home. The nurse has taken special care of any medical
needs and I feel he is well looked after.

The staff at the care home are always very welcoming and are always available to answer any queries I may have about my relative's care. Always making her feel welcome when she stays. My mother completed a two-week live-in respite care placement. We had wanted a one-week placement but was refused, looking back I now feel two weeks was the best as it allowed my mother to settle in more.
My mother complained generally about the food but I feel this was rather harsh as it always looked
good.
There was a slight smell of urine on the first floor but again, this is to be expected to a degree.
There were activities but didn't seem promoted enough as, at times, my mother was the only participant.
We were initially given a price which later changed to a higher cost which was a little unsettling. I felt the exact cost should have been stated at the onset. We also felt the cost was extremely high.
However, despite all the above, my mother enjoyed her stay there, I would recommend the care home and if they allowed one-week stays, I would rebook my mother back in.

Since Mum has arrived in the summer of 2023, she has received excellent care which we are very happy with.
Only issue sometimes is that there are staff shortages, particularly on the entertainment side which Mum enjoys.
Food quality has improved since the early days when staff shortages caused quality
issues.

I was very grateful for all the care given. Every problem was solved, the staff were brilliant and very helpful. The resident's relatives were kept informed at all times and the resident was treated extremely well. Cannot fault the home at all.

The staff carried out their duties, which at times could be unpleasant and not always appreciated by some of the residents, in a professional manner and always with a smile on their faces. I cannot praise them too highly. The rooms were good with ensuite toilet and wash basin. Ensuite shower would have
been welcome instead of a separate shower room for general use. Food was good.

From the home visit to Mum staying, has been a good experience. It's her first time in respite care and naturally, the family have been anxious. The staff have all been amazing, professional but friendly and have really helped Mum to settle in.
The decor, facilities and surroundings are all lovely.
The only negative was the smell in the corridor when we first arrived. It hasn't seemed so bad since and we've noticed various "smellies" around to help this.

My mum moved to Brentwood Care Centre at the beginning of August 2024.
As a family, we had been through a difficult experience at her previous care home.
We had looked at over a dozen other care homes and were impressed by a combination of management, staff and facilities.
When you have a parent
with early onset dementia it's so important that the home is right for the resident.
Location is good. Building is welcoming. Parking is easy.
Initial management support and communication were excellent, making a stressful time for family so easy.
The refurbished rooms are lovely. Much more personal than many but keeping the resident in contact with staff and other residents.
The lounges for visiting are beautifully decorated.
Mum loves having her hair done and it feels like a real salon at Brentwood Care Home.
My fussy mum says that food is very nice.
Staff seem very attentive and there seems excellent training is given.
All care homes are expensive but Brentwood Care Centre is worth it. Recommend.

My father was discharged from the hospital into Brentwood Care Centre following a stroke in March 2024. He was on the 2nd floor as he required 24-hour nursing care. As you step out of the lift the smell of urine is unbearable. One resident was naked in the corridor and one lying on the floor, basically
had to step around him. Most of the care staff were very good and kind but they are clearly stretched and understaffed most of the time. My father had other residents wandering into his room which scared him to the point that he was crying to family. His room was a good size but the TV had no remote control and therefore could not be switched between channels, the staff informed but nothing was done to replace it. An oncology appointment had to be cancelled because blood tests were not performed in time. The food provided was mainly inedible, we took to taking our own food in. We transferred my father out after 2 weeks as there were so many issues. All issues were raised with management at the time.

Having said this, I feel I need to explain that due to the community, your father was admitted to being one that offers nursing care, there are people admitted with many complex conditions and behaviours - which may seem strange to visitors to this area. I can understand how these issues could cause concern and distress for you when visiting your father, but can assure you that the team are highly trained and are meeting the needs of people staying with us in accordance with their needs and wishes. I am sorry that the food we provided was not to your father's satisfaction. Our chef is accomplished and the food we provide is nutritionally balanced and made to a high standard. I accept this was not your experience and apologise for this. I hope your father is happy now and thank you for your time.

My brother and I have been very pleased with the decision we made for Dad to come to this care home. It is one of the most difficult and emotional decisions that you can make on behalf of a parent and at every stage of the process, from the application, initial visits and then care of Dad, we have been
well supported and what was best for Dad was always paramount. The staff have always treated Dad with gentleness, professionalism and respect and he was comfortable with them. The carers have been friendly and helpful on our visits and it has been a pleasure getting to know the team. They have kept us fully informed of Dad's situation and happily responded to any requests we may have made. We will always be very grateful for the staff in supporting us and Dad through these last few months.

My father suffers from advanced dementia and my mother was caring for him on her own at home. She became ill and struggled to cope. My dad's behaviour can be problematic and some homes refused to take him. We called Brentwood Care Centre and they were very helpful from the outset. Sympathetic and efficient.
We called late on the Friday, spoke to the manager on Monday morning, had an assessment at home on the Tuesday and took him in on the Wednesday.
Dad's room was all ready with his name on the door. We were nervous about leaving but the staff were incredibly reassuring and said they had it all in hand.
Mum called every day and although it sometimes took a little while to get through, there was always someone to give a report on how his night had been and what he was doing that day. Even when his behaviour had been difficult, they seemed unphased.
Everyone involved was kind, caring and efficient. He came home after two weeks respite but we would have been happy for him to stay longer.

Since my mum moved in, they have made the process very easy, start to finish. Not only are the staff there for the residents but us loved ones too. Very friendly, helpful and friendly staff. Together, we have worked on what my mum's needs are and now very settled. The staff always have time to chat
and listen to our wishes and get them implemented. Highly recommended place for anyone.

My in-laws stayed for just over 4 weeks from mid-December to mid-January for respite care, both have early to mid-stage Alzheimer’s disease. Overall they benefited from their stay, the carers and the rest of the team looked after them very well and they both enjoyed their food very much. It took them
a little while to settle as they have been at their home together for 70 years so this was a major change for them both.
Most days there was an activity or event at the home which they both really liked. There was bingo, live music, a festive party and movies to watch. There weren’t any trips out during their stay and they found the evenings very quiet with only the TV for company, this part didn’t suit my mother-in-law as she doesn’t really watch the TV even in her own home. My father-in-law didn’t seem to mind though and was much more settled. Overall, a very good experience and a well-run home. Thank you to all the staff for giving us some time to relax and regather.

December 23rd 2023 we recognised Mum needed 24/7 support and contacted Brentwood Care Centre. There was a respite bed available and staff came to assess Mum at her home. Amazingly, within a day Mum was safely in Larchwood Gardens. Our family is all over the world and we are so grateful that Mum not
only is being cared for but that she is comfortable with that care, the staff and her room. Currently, Mum is unwell and requiring medical support, again, the level of care and communication has been fantastic. Thank you Brentwood Care Centre.

My sister was only there a short time before she passed away but what can l say about the home? One word, brilliant. They made my sister feel at home, their loving care, kindness, also being there for us as well. l love it when they enter the room they would knock on her door first as they came in.
Every member of staff was friendly and polite and always had time to talk to us no matter how busy they were. l would highly recommend this home to anyone, it’s like home from home.

Mum moved into the care home at the end of August, it was a very anxious time for mum, my sister and I, but everyone was so kind and helpful, taking away the stress and making the move run very smoothly. Mum is now very happy there, all the staff are wonderful, the facilities and accommodation are beautiful.
Mum really enjoys the food, one of her favourites is fish, chips and mushy peas and loves all the sponge puddings!
The entertainment team is amazing, with something going on virtually every day, which Mum loves taking part in. Also, the pampering sessions, when she gets her hair and nails done!
My sister and I are so grateful to everyone there, as we know that Mum is happy, safe and being looked after so well.
We would highly recommend Brentwood Care Centre to anyone.

Dad stayed at Brentwood Care Centre in October for 2 weeks while we took a break.
He was well looked after and I especially like the updates with the daily app.
It was a short trip but I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it, everything was catered for.

Maria Siia

Job Title: General Manager Joined: 2025

Maria Siia brings a unique blend of leadership experience and compassionate care to her role as Acting General Manager at Brentwood Care Centre.


With a background in nursing and further qualifications including NVQ Level 4, 5, and 6 in Health and Social Care Management, as well as a Master’s course in Nursing Diagnosis, Maria has developed the skills and knowledge needed to lead both operationally and clinically. She is passionate about using her expertise to support staff, uphold high standards, and ensure residents receive care that is both person-centred and respectful.


Maria thrives on the variety her role brings, valuing the opportunity to guide her team, solve challenges, and make a positive impact each day. She is especially proud to work at Brentwood Care Centre, a home praised for its friendly, responsive staff and its welcoming, purpose-built environment.

Rhiannon McNeill

Job Title: Customer Relations Manager Joined: 2022

Rhiannon joined the Brentwood Care Centre family in Spring 2022.


She is passionate about her role, supporting families and loved ones on their journey in looking for care and also building community links with the home's local community.


'I love that my role is meeting people whether that be supporting them in understanding the processes of looking for care during what can be a difficult time or, organising community events such as our monthly Dementia Cafés and our intergenerational events.'

Diana Moraru – Manole

Job Title: Essex Regional Operations Manager

Essex Regional Operations Manager, Diana has a wealth of experience and knowledge from across Health and Social Care Sectors.


With over 16 years of experience, Diana started her career as a Health Care Assistant in a neurosurgical hospital and went on to train and qualify as a Nurse in Romania. Since coming to the UK in 2016 as a Nurse, Diana has had various roles leading up to her first General Manager role in 2017.


Diana’s experience in developing a team’s knowledge and skills through leadership and mentoring is something she is passionate about and is looking forward to supporting RCH Care Homes across Essex.


Another part of her role as Essex Regional Operations Manager that she loves is, ‘inspiring a great team to make further differences to the lives of the residents, making sure they are living their best life possible and that everyone feels it is a nice place to live and work; because it’s a home from home.’


Whilst not a work Diana enjoys travelling, keeping up to date with world news and being adventurous; this year she took part in a Sky Dive!
