My wife as been in Gifford House care home for approximately three weeks now, I have no problems at this prescent time only to say it is very efficient and nothing is to much trouble from the staff and managment, very clean and tidy thank you.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience of Gifford House.
We are delighted to hear that your wife has settled in well during her first few weeks with us and that you have found the home efficient, clean, and welcoming. It is especially pleasing to know that our staff and...
The care she received was given with compassion, dignity and kindness at all times. I knew that at times mum could be difficult and sometimes aggressive but the staff were never judgemental. They were patient, kind always smiling and it was clear that they had her best interests at heart. Although we knew that mum wouldn't have wanted to be in a nursing home we felt happy as we knew she was safe and being cared for at the end of her life.
We would like to say a big thank you to ALL the lovely staff at Gifford House.

This care home has been fantastic with our mum until she past 4/5.
We couldn't get there in time so the nurse in charge sat with mum holding her hand until we arrived. This was so much appreciated and showed how much staff care for the people in the home.
We can honestly say we have never had a problem with the home, if you ask for something to be done it is done asap. Mum was very happy at this home. All the staff likes her and she liked them.
We would recommend this care home to everyone looking for somewhere to put their loved one.
A big Thankyou to All the Staff and Management.
Even the Owner came up to me and asked about mum and how she was treated and if we were pleased with the service they provided. The owner was also a Very nice polite person

My sister has been a resident now for nearly 3 yrs and is very happy here. The staff are brilliant, caring, respectful, compassionate, professional and above all are friendly to both residents + visitors and will always have time to chat to the residents who might need a little tlc. The nursing staff keep you informed of any medical issue and are always there when you need advise and will get the doctor in or refer you if necessary I cannot tell you how much peace of mind this care home gives me. I took me ages to find the right one.

We as a family believe that Gifford House give very good care to our relative, who has been here for 3 years. The staff all treat him and I'm kindness and respect. The nurse team are very good. There are occassions where things go wrong eg sorting out transport to/from appointments, but they make amends and apologise.

My mum spent her last 8 months at Gifford House and not once did she ask to come out, she felt safe. Annie and her care team were amazing and kind. I've never seen my mum laugh as much.

I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone at Gifford House who made our mum so welcome. As a family we didn't know how mum was going to settle but she was made welcome from the start and did not once say she did not feel comfortable there. Inface quite the opposite when we did take her out she could not wait to get back to see everyone. (Betty Wing)
Our team works hard to create a warm and supportive environment,...
Happy with the care my father in law is receiving. One a few occasions, he has been left in dirty top due to having lunch but its always be addressed once I spoken to someone.

My nan has been a resident of this lovely care home for over a year now. The care and support she receives from all the staff is so respectful and caring. The food is lovely, the rooms are clean. They like to involve families as much as possible. Highly recommend.

I recently arranged two weeks of respite care for my mother at Gifford House Care Home, and I was so grateful we found it.
The staff were genuinely kind, attentive, and respectful, taking the time to understand my mother and make her feel comfortable and valued. The home itself was beautifully maintained, spotless, and welcoming - with a calm, comfortable atmosphere that felt more like a high-quality hotel than a care home.
Most importantly, my mother was happy and very well cared for throughout her stay, which meant everything to me.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Gifford House to anyone looking for exceptional care. It would no doubt be my first choice for a care home should I need it in the future.
My sincere thanks to everyone at Gifford House - from the owners and managers to all the staff. Your compassion and dedication truly made a difference.
It means a great deal to know that our teams kindness, attentiveness, and respect helped your mother feel comfortable and valued, and that...
I am writing following the passing of my mother, who lived at the home for approximately three years.
Given the length of time she was a resident and the involvement our family had with the home throughout that period, I was surprised and disappointed that the family received no acknowledgement or condolences from the home following her death.a simple message of sympathy would ordinarily be expected from a care provider after supporting a resident for such a significant period of their life. Such gestures can mean a great deal to families during an already difficult time.
The absence of any acknowledgement has been noted and has added to the family's concerns about the overall culture of care and communication we experienced.Unfortunately this isn't unexpected given the abuse and neglect mum received during her stay.
Find a home for your loved ones that focuses on care before profit and ensure the management are accountable for everything that happens to your loved one.
Thank you for your review.Firstly, we offer our sincere condolences to you and your family following the passing of Doreen.Doreen was in our care for three years, during which time we worked closely with you, your family, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure her care remained appropriate.Staff...
Most of the staff were good and helpful. Staff were very busy all the time and didn't have the time to spend with residents.
Think perhaps residents need more interaction - perhaps volunteers to interact with residents.
The staff were friendly kind and efficient. He finally received top class care. He waa cared for around the clock wvery 2 hours ,24 hours. The family were so grateful.that our dad, hisband had the caee he got.
For about three years I visited at least twice a week, two ladies I had responsibility for (acting on behalf of their next of kin). Both ladies were well cared for and both were loved dearly by the staff. The staff made sure all their physical needs were met with dignity. They were also invested to know these two ladies offering them friendship and warmth at the end of these ladies' lives. The staff were extremely supportive and caring. The whole team work well together.
