My uncle is so happy since he settled into Leonard Lodge. I know because I always ask him if he’s happy and he tells me he loves his room, the garden, he loves the food and he loves the staff, he says what more could he want. He is 97 and as a family it was the best decision we made knowing in his last years he is in the best place he could be, getting the best care. What more could you want for a world war veteran!

Leonard Lodge has been amazing with my Mum. She took a little time to settle but the staff were fantastic encouraging and helping her. Mum has now been there two years and is happy and always enjoyed getting her hair done. The staff have made sure that the routines and care continued during covid even though she could not get her hair done her nails were painted as she loved that too. Her hair has been done again by the visiting hairdresser this week and the staff sent me a photo of my Mum with her new hairstyle. She looks so happy. I really appreciate all the staff at Leonard Lodge. They get to know the families and take an interest in the family member. I am so grateful for the care and kindness of this Nursing care home from nursing staff and administrative staff. Thank you to them all.

In very challenging circumstances and times (Dad being very poorly and Covid restrictions) the staff were very supportive and welcoming. Dad entered the home in January and we were unable to visit. However, the staff were very good at keeping us informed of Dad's progress, always making time to update us during many calls. Since visiting has started I have been able to see all the facilities and care. Very good.

My husband has been a resident for 15-months. He was very difficult and aggressive when he went into the home, but staff coped well with his behaviour. He contracted Covid, was admitted to hospital, then I was told he was end of life on discharged back to the home. They nursed him brilliantly, and he recovered. I am very grateful to them.

With my uncle being ready for discharge from the hospital on Sunday, the manager, deputy and administrators at Leonard Lodge all worked tirelessly to facilities his safe admission. At 97-years-old, he was no longer safe at home with four care package visits per day, and we as a family, have peace of mind he is safe and well cared for. My uncle has settled in well and like his clean, comfortable surroundings and is very much enjoying home-cooked food. It has only been one week, but he has settled in and loved by all the staff. Thank you for making a hard time easier.

My mother was a resident from August 2018 to July 2020 when she died of old aged at 98. From the day she arrived, she and all the family were treated with care, respect, and the staff always remained willing to help with anything required. The staff were all excellent, and our impression was of a very happy environment. Well done.

The Leonard Lodge team have all been amazing looking after Dad. Their professionalism, kindness and caring have been outstanding especially at this unprecedented time. The inability to physically see our loved ones is so very painful but the team at Leonard Lodge have made it so much more bearable helping Dad on our Skype video calls, having chats on the phone and sending email updates. Truly grateful and thankful that he is at Leonard Lodge

After trying other care homes we were lucky enough to find Leonard Lodge. The staff cannot do enough for their residents. From the cleaners right up to the general manager. My mother started to look forward to life again and has started to eat properly from their restaurant-quality menu. Standards of care, consideration and cleanliness are second to none.

My name is Lynn and I lead the Activities Team here at Leonard Lodge.

Since working at Leonard Lodge I have dedicated myself to ensuring that each of our residents can continue to partake in the hobbies that they have enjoyed for years. It is important that all of the residents here have access to life enriching, fun and social activities.

The whole home supports my team and I to organise activities, events and entertainment tailored to every residents preferences, abilities and needs. Each year we have a fantastically full calendar, and we look forward to the future when we can invite the families of residents to join us in the home again.

I am married with two children and two rather annoying rescue cats. I lived in Italy for a number of years and love all Italian food, especially when somebody else cooks it for me! I love to read, especially crime novels. I am a regular theatre goer with a passion for musicals. I like to sing and dance (albeit badly!).

I have worked in the care sector as a Nursing Home Administrator for the past ten years. I very much enjoy working in an environment where we can make a difference - each and every one of us - to our resident's daily life.

I worked in London for the first six years of my career as a Records Clerk with the British Medical Association. I was fortunate enough to meet Prince Charles who was our Honorary President, at a Grand Ball held in his honour. I then progressed to being the Records Officer at Gray’s Inn.

I now have a lovely granddaughter, who takes up a lot of my spare time and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Hi, I am Corina, the General Manager at Leonard Lodge.

I have 10 years of leadership experience gained from nursing, residential, and dementia care services in the UK. I have a strong track record of improving care homes, achieving positive CQC outcomes, and leading multi-site operations across Essex and London.

Throughout my career, I have developed expertise in regulatory compliance, safeguarding, clinical governance, and operational management. With a background as a Registered Nurse and senior care leader, I am passionate about person-centred care, staff development, and continuous improvement.

I strongly believe that people should be cared for holistically, taking into account what makes them who they are as individuals. Building meaningful relationships with residents, staff, relatives, and external stakeholders is extremely important to me, as I believe working in partnership is essential to delivering the best possible outcomes for everyone involved in the home. I also see myself as a strong advocate for residents, ensuring they receive the highest standard of care, particularly those who are unable to communicate their needs or those living with dementia. I take pride in supporting and empowering others to be the best they can be within their roles, creating positive and high-performing teams.
