Such kind wonderfully warm staff. They came to our aid in a most unfortunate predicament, that I will always be very grateful for.
Besides all of that, they took exceptionally brilliant care of my mother-in-law who unfortunately has Dementia.
These wonderful women worked tirelessly to get us some
support in place for us for when she came home.

Cannot fault Windle Court care home and we looked at a few. Staff go above and beyond with their care, all the workers have smiles on their faces from the cleaners to the management. The home is kept spotless, activities for the residents are always a source of fun excellent and food provided is varied.
Each staff member is very approachable and any queries are dealt with promptly. Unfortunately, we lost our family member, but she was so happy there and it has helped us to know that she was surrounded by so much love and care. Thank you everybody at Windle Court.

My father was with you for approximately one month for some rehabilitation care. We have since moved him to another care home, but that is of no reflection of the excellent care he received whilst with you at Windle Court. The decision was purely logistics. We needed to put my father into care after
getting him out of Hospital and it was no easy exercise to do, but your staff were most helpful, especially one lady in particular (you know who you are!). What we needed at the time for Dad was a caring, safe environment that would give him the dignity he required, and that he got from Windle Court.
Myself and the entire family can not thank you enough, for being so accommodating and flexible.

My mum was cared for and loved by staff at Windle Court. They are all wonderful, caring people who do a very difficult job looking after our loved ones when they face a sometimes very confusing and anxious time in their lives. Most of us can't do that job. The staff here are friendly, kind and fun.
When visiting they make you welcome - you become part of this big family. They do lots of activities and encourage residents to take part. I have seen for myself how happy the residents are to join in, watch and sing along. The rooms are clean and tidy. Meals are good plus additional refreshments throughout the day. The residents are kept clean and treated with respect and dignity. The photos tell the story of how good this home is and how happy the residents look in them...I can't thank Windle Court staff enough for looking after my lovely mum. Sadly she has now passed away but was cared for with tenderness right to the end. They are a brilliant team, so supportive in every way.

I have found Windle Court to be excellent. My father has been in the home for about 5 months now and the management and staff I have come across are friendly and caring. They are always happy to talk and have been honest about his needs and proactive in looking for ways to help residents get the most
out of their time at Windle Court.


Care homes especially for people with dementia seem very expensive but I do feel he is happy, well fed and the staff do talk with and engage with residents so overall I feel it’s worth the fees.

I have no complaints the care is excellent. They always put my mum in matching clothes and mum always looks clean. There is a hairdresser here which is a good price. The doctor comes in every Tuesday. All the staff are lovely and friendly. Nothing is too much for them. They have an activity plan that
gets emailed every week which includes arts and crafts, day trips, animals, singers, cooking, book club and also movie nights. The place looks like a hotel with updated decor and furniture. Has a cafe to be used with your family for privacy.

Cannot praise enough the care provided in this warm and friendly care home. My father in law has lived here for the past 18 months, the result of which is that he is the happiest he has been since his wife's death 7 years ago.
All staff are truly dedicated and do all they can to ensure the residents
(and families) receive a home from home experience. Communication with families is very good as is the support provided by the local medical centre.

The care that has been given to my mother since her moving in during December 2022 and since. Has been outstanding. My mother was widowed at the end of May 2022 and it has badly affected her mental health, she became very depressed and isolated. My mother has always been a happy lady, who liked to socialise.
Between my sister and myself, we felt it was best to find a nursing home that could offer my mum care and support to help her heal within herself. The staff and activities that take place at the home, came across as excellent, just what my mother needed.
My mother has improved so much, she is socialising with the other residents and gets on very well with the staff. She is happy in herself. She may have some days where she is a little down, but the staff, truly care and are always looking out for my mum. Her health is being well looked after as she does have some health issues. The staff, go out of their way to make the home happy and always keep myself and my sister informed.

The home has a can-do attitude, everything I asked for was made possible. The staff were all friendly, kind and caring. Mum was only in the home for six weeks, we knew when she went in it wouldn't be long. I'm grateful I chose this home.

Mum came to live permanently at Windle Court in December 2021, after my father-in-law passed. She has dementia and is 97 years old. She is very well cared for. When Nan arrived, the staff were so lovely, it was a difficult transition made a lot easier by the whole team! Hello, my name is Lorraine, and I am the home manager at Windle Court Residential Home based in South Woodham Ferrers.


I have been the home manager since December 2020 at Windle Court and worked for Runwood Homes since 2009.


Windle Court is a 76-bed purpose-built residential home providing 26 rooms on our poppy suite on the ground floor and 36 rooms on our sunflower suite on the first floor. We also have Jasmine which is a purpose-built senior living private suite suitable for independent or for those who require minimal care.


All rooms have ensuite facilities, all suites have their lounges, dining areas and communal facilities. We provide a hairdressing, chiropody and newspaper service and a full activities calendar which includes, weekly cooking, arts & crafts, live entertainment, and minibus trips, just to mention a few. We have a lovely café which is very popular with residents and visitors we also have outdoor space to accommodate summer BBQs, gardening club and fetes when the weather permits.


Windle Court has a cinema room, which is very popular with the residents; this allows them to relax with a glass of wine and a good movie.

I am the Deputy Manager at Windle Court. I have worked here for the past 10 years, i first started in the home as a carer and have progressed to become the Deputy manager in the last year which was always my ambition.


I am kind, and caring and provide support to the staff, residents, families and visitors. I am a champion in the home for manual handling, end-of-life, medication and health and safety.


I have achieved my NVQ level 3 in health and social care and currently working towards achieving my level 4.

I truly love my role in connecting with the residents and their families.

Hi, I'm Kerry I am the financial administrator for Windle Court. I have been here for over 4 years and I look after all aspects of administrative responsibilities along with looking after all the staff.


I am responsible for all onboarding of new staff to ensure all documentation is legislative and CQC compliant. I am also the home's training champion my role is to help drive staff to ensure all Runwood mandatory training is up to date. I also encourage staff to voluntary participate in additional training to help them progress in their role.
