My mother-in-law has been a resident since March 2015. Before she became a resident we had viewed other homes in the area. They did not have the facilities for care and the stimulation that was provided at Gracewell of Camberley. My wife and I were so impressed with the home that we have told the family
that if we have to go into a home to make sure we go to Gracewell of Camberley.

Sometimes the buzzer from a room calling reception desk can be disconcerting as they go on too long.

Mum has been a resident for just over 2 years now. The staff remain, as always, very kind and caring. Everybody has bigger, better bedrooms with ensuite now and the wider corridors are a big help but the old building has some advantages over the new one.
If a resident was going out by car or ambulance,
they had no chance to get cold or wet, straight out the door under the cover of the porch and into the transport. Now they have a few yards to go in the open.
The cinema is the largest entertainment area, it's shape and furniture is not as practical as the old building, impossible to cater for the big events they used to have. I am at the home 4 to 5 times a week.

Staff and facilities superb. Staff very sympathetic to patient's needs. We were very happy with what we saw at this new care home.

Noise of call buzzers is too long and too loud.
No diabetic food/pudding options
Dining area - placement of pull cords not suitable for wheelchair users.
I feel all the hard working staff are overworked and what is expected of them is far too much. They work long hours. I think they are all lovely
people and I thank all of them.

I took over Camberley Woods Care Home in December 2025 and I am dedicated to providing a high-quality service, tailored to the individual needs of each resident. I have an excellent team that works hard to ensure that our residents get the best care and that all of their needs are met to the highest standard.
