My father was a resident at Belmore Lodge for eight years as a result of a cerebral haemorrhage and was unable to walk. In all that time, I have never had cause for concern over his care. He was always clean and well fed. His room was bright and comfortable and nothing of his ever went missing. He was hoisted from bed to chair every day and treated with great kindness as was I and my family. All staff were thoroughly professional and took the time to keep him company. A brilliant service from a very well run care and nursing home.
I have found my stay here very good. All the staff are excellent - very kind and will do anything for you.
Can't thank the staff enough for what they are doing for my father. The staff are fantastic with my father food is lovely.
Whenever I phone up and I live a long way from my father, there is mostly people I have met who answer it and "know" how to deal with an emotional daughter, so well done on that side as well! The lovely Manager personally made sure that the problem I mentioned was sorted and a new check list was drawn up to help sort the problem out. So we were very pleased, thank you. Many thanks again.
the resident I visit in Belmore Lodge is in a very poor physical and mental state. It is gratifying to see her so well cared for in such a safe and comfortable environment. I visit almost every day and appreciate the warmth of the staff who are always happy to answer any questions I have.
I am impressed on how well the home is run, through my contact with the staff and frequently with the manager, I observe an organised and happy environment. I believe this is due to the way that the manager runs the home. She clearly has the respect of the staff all of whom under her direction are always polite and helpful.
The manager clearly has her heart for the residents being willing to accommodate their wishes even when they are very challenging, whilst ensuring a balance and fair approach to others in the home and the needs of the staff. Over a lengthy period, she has helped provide for the particular needs of one of the ladies I have been supporting. She has always been patient, positive and willing to try different approaches to secure lasting satisfaction for the residents concerned. At times this has meant arranging special meetings spending time with myself and the resident.
Sadly this lady died recently and the family and I were delighted when the manager offered and arranged for a finger buffet to be provided for the family after the funeral. In summary, I see the complete package for an excellent manager of the home. She knows that she is in control of events, manages resources well-being thoroughly committed to the resident's care and contentment. She shows love and care for the residents and staff alike, in ways that are exemplary always willing to go the extra mile when needed. I have always enjoyed connecting with her to achieve shared goals, being the happiness of the people most important in the home the residents. Belmore Lodge is a happy family with the manager being the head.
I have just had 5 weeks stay at this lovely home following a hospital admission. I have enjoyed the food, it is all sourced locally, this has a joint benefit of helping local businesses and aiding my recovery. I have enjoyed the garden and some of the many activities on offer, the garden is a real asset. The staff are so hard working to keep everyone happy, nothing is too much trouble. This is a very well led home.
Am very happy here staff look after me very well food is very good.
Very caring staff, well looked after. Nice food. Good entertainment and good facilities. Staff at Belmore are very caring, they have looked after my aunt since 2004 and will strongly recommend this home.
Much heartened by the time given to me and my sister, and how you would always explain in a kindly understanding way. We are thankful that my mother ended her days in your care. She was comfortable, and felt safe with you. You were able to relieve her pain, and quickly ascertain what the cause was. Will be forever grateful!!
What a fantastic home for my dad. He couldn't be more cared for. The staff are so friendly and respectful. We had a meal with my dad in the beautiful dining room and it was just like sitting in any good restaurant and the food was super and beautifully presented.
- There is always a series of programmes, run in the garden room, for the benefit of residents and they also encourage outings to various places of interest.
-The reception staff are efficient and pleasantly helpful in a variety of ways.
-The accommodation is well maintained, but inadequate to accommodate both one's TV and PC.
-The staff who invariably know one's name, are invariably kindly, pleasant and helpful.
-The nursing staff act responsibly and seem to provide an excellent service.
- I welcome being able to choose, 24 hours in advance, what I would like to eat, however I do from time to time have reservations over what ultimately ends up on my plate.
"Thank you for your comments about the excellence of the care, staffing and overall environment at Belmore Lodge and for your likelihood to recommend the home to others. Regarding the space available for residents’ own TVs and PCs, we can almost always accommodate such items in bedrooms very...
I am so glad I am a resident at this Lodge. It is so great to be among cheerful people. Since I have arrived here I have received such good friendship. I cannot explain enough how happy I have been made by staff and carers. It was such a surprise to be asked to help with the interviews for staff. The senior staff run this Lodge well and are always glad to help if you have a problem. The food is excellent thanks to the chef and his crew. If all care homes were run like Belmore Lodge there would be many more happy people. I cannot find anything to complain about. Thank you Belmore Lodge for making me very happy.
I am a regular visitor, consistently good staff and treatment, food very high standard, room always clean staff very friendly, helpful. My experiences as a visitor in my opinion much better than any other homes where I have visited other homes, Belmore is exceptional!! What particularly struck me is the very high level of management, good motivation to staff and attention to detail for the residents, this is seen on the faces of the staff and residents. Cannot find enough words to explain a higher praise.
Extremely friendly staff, very welcoming, lovely atmosphere. Clean and beautifully presented. Homely.
Lovely atmosphere. Great facilities and staff.
I was very impressed with the care provided, facilities and the staff are very helpful! Lovely positive atmosphere.
The care home is excellent in all respects.
Belmore answers all your prayers.
So please remember, don't forget
Belmore Lodge is your best bet.
