There was a lovely welcome on arrival at Challoner House the room was lovely and bright with everything mum needed. Vicky the Activities Coordinator went above and beyond to include 'D' in all the activities and would always pop into the room to say hello with a beaming smile, Sue the Senior Care Assistant always made sure mum had a lovely relaxing bath which she thoroughly enjoyed in the spa room. The young girl Bella who served mums meals was very friendly and polite. Thank you to all the staff for overall a lovely stay.

Very happy Mum is at Challoner House. She is well looked after by all the staff, who are, without exception, lovely, kind, caring and attentive. Mum has been very happy since coming here in August 2024. Had an issue with mum receiving funded nursing care, but management pursued this, and it has all been sorted.

My grandmother has been a resident for a few years and within that time she has always been treated so well!
All the staff genuinely care. I am only able to visit every so often due to not being based in Hampshire, and it is so lovely to see the staff popping their head in to see how she is whilst we are there.

Thank you!

I came to Challoner House for a two week stay following a major operation to replace my left knee.
My experiance was very good, I felt cared for and most of the staff were empathetic - I appreciate that shortness of staff is an issue, so it is difficult to get an immediate response (at times).

I have one suggestionto make - There is no food or hot drink offered between 5.30 pm and 9 am the next day. Sometimes if you ask you can get a drink. But it is an awfully long time, and less articulate patients will not ask!

Thank you very much for your review. I am very sorry to hear this as there is always food and drink available 24 hours a day and staff always have access to the kitchen. I apologise that this was not communicated to you.Thank you for your feedback. I will feed this back to my team so this will not happen again. We are always here if you need any assistance in the future.

In one word , my experience of the whole care package is "exemplary". Having been a carer of my wife for over 20 years, I am well aware of the tasks facing a carer. Challoner House carehome fully met the requirements I expected. All the staff, from the cleaners to the managers were polite, cheerful and mostly accessible. The food was excellent!
