Our mum was lucky enough to come to Lavender Lodge after being elsewhere. All I can say is what a transformation in our mum since she arrived. The love, care and understanding shown to not just our mum but the family too. Mum is so happy to see her now mixing with others and being able to push her in
a wheelchair without her screaming. As soon as you walk in, you just feel the warmth and love immediately. A fantastic manager and carer.

Lavender Lodge is a truly outstanding care home. My aunt has been a resident for six months now and I can only find positive comments to make. The staff are professional and highly skilled with a warm and caring manner. They have gone out of their way to ensure my aunt has all her needs met and has

My mother was living with me when she, unfortunately, had a stroke and I could not hoist and care for her on my own anymore so reluctantly after caring for her for years Mum had to go into a home. We chose Lavender Lodge and even though I never wanted her to go into a home after 8 months she is settling
down now which is a big relief. All of the staff are wonderful from the manager, carers, chefs, laundry and cleaners. They all do a wonderful job so thank you to all.

Dad needed to go into a care home urgently which was sad and stressful at the time. However, Lavender Lodge and the team made everything as easy as possible with so much care and consideration for all of us. We have been so pleased with everything and Dad is settled and well cared for.

My aunt has only been in Lavender Lodge for two weeks but the staff and management have made her very welcome the staff are happy to help and always friendly. My aunt didn't want to go into a care home but the staff made her very welcome and she settled in.

I have utmost gratitude to all in Lavender Lodge Care Home for the care and support given to my mother as she makes her journey through later life. The compasion, love and dignity in care is outstanding.
It's been hard handing over her care to people outside of family however in the recent months the

I was very impressed to see the residents looking happy and enjoying themselves. A homely and comfortable home providing excellent nursing care. The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them.

Lavender Lodge has been excellent, from the first time we met the Deputy Manager when looking for a care home for our mother. Through the assessment of her needs and support with welcoming her into a new environment, the staff have always been very supportive to both my mum and family. The ongoing care

The first thing I have to say is that 99% of the staff are marvellous. The one lift has broken down on several occasions and we are told there is going to be a new one - but when? It now cannot be used with people in it and both staff and residents are suffering from having to use the stairs. It is
an old building and really needs replacing or serious updating. The staff do a wonderful job and work hard with what they have. The meals are very good to really good.

As you mention, Lavender Lodge is an older building and, for the ongoing safety of all, our lift is temporarily out of routine service. We acknowledge the potential impacts this could have on residents, relatives and staff at the home, and we have contingency plans in place to minimise these. Avery Healthcare have committed to having the lift replaced in the next few weeks and we are liaising with the manufacturer and fitters to have this work completed as early as is possible. As soon as we have confirmed dates for the work to begin, we will write to everyone again to let them know. We thank you for your patience – please feel free to drop in and speak to the Home Manager in the meantime.

My husband came to Lavender Lodge on 06/06/22. The staff made my husband feel very welcome. The care my husband received was 100%. My late brother had been a resident at Lavender Lodge for some considerable years. He was treated with respect and kindness. The staff have been wonderful in his care. This home is the opposite of the dreadful stories you read about in the newspapers. Before Covid struck, he was taken out for various
trips and excursions. I and my sister could not have asked for a better home for him. He was happy and well looked after. We will miss seeing the staff.

My sister and I booked a visit to see our dad for his birthday. We were welcomed by a lovely new Administrator, who carried out all the required covid checks. We were shown to an area to have a private birthday celebration with our dad. An afternoon tea had been kindly arranged by the staff, with tea
and a birthday cake personalised for my dad and balloons and birthday banners. Various staff were very helpful and attentive and we appreciated the effort put in. Whilst we were there, an activities person was entertaining the residents dedicated to St Andrews Day, which was lovely to see and hear as our family including my dad, are Scottish. This was a very enjoyable experience and the new decor is very warm and inviting especially with the Christmas decorations.
