Oak Lodge is an ‘Outstanding’ (October 2020) and award-winning care home combining 24-hour residential and nursing care with warm and friendly hospitality for up to 60 residents on a permanent and respite basis.

Purpose-built on the foundations of a country farm complex, within a beautiful 300-acre Hampshire countryside estate, Oak Lodge is a quintessentially British care home blending state-of-the-art facilities and stimulating environments with a homely atmosphere and family approach to person-centred care.

Residents enjoy beautiful farmland views from their luxury bedrooms equipped with ensuite facilities, spacious communal for entertaining and dining, glazed walkways, a dedicated activities room, hair salon and family room. Outside, a landscaped garden, quaint summer house, tranquil flower courtyard with water feature and a raised herb garden tended to by the residents’ gardening club, provide outdoor space for residents and their loved ones to enjoy.

My sister has been a resident at Oak Lodge Nursing Home for over three years, which came about as a result of the death of her husband after 50 years of a truly happy marriage.
During her time at Oak Lodge, she has received the most wonderful care, courtesy and consideration that we could have ever
wished for from every member of the staff, who all have that natural warmth and welcoming disposition which are so necessary to make the residents feel that they are living in a safe home from home environment. I know that my sister is very happy being there as she continues to enjoy the autumn of her life.
I am so very, very grateful for the outstanding care she has received at Oak Lodge.

During the four years our aunt has been with you at Oak Lodge, she has received exceptional care.
The staff are all friendly and happy and are willing to do anything asked of them.
We have always been kept fully informed of any changes in our aunt's condition.
Oak Lodge itself is always immaculately
clean and bright, with changes to displays throughout the seasons.
There are plenty of activities for the residents if they choose to participate.
We would not hesitate in recommending Oak Lodge to anyone looking for care for a relative. It is a lovely home.

The home is an absolute joy to see. It's bright, lovely rooms for residents and the gardens and grounds are so well cared for. Everyone seems happy, and it has so many activities for the residents. My mother is very happy there and has never complained about anything or anyone. I feel completely relaxed

We are so pleased we made the decision for Dad to come to Oak Lodge when it became clear he could no longer live alone. From the first moment we were struck by the respect and care of the staff and have gone on to appreciate the loving family atmosphere that is created for everyone. Every time we visit
Dad it is reassuring to hear him talk about how lovely, sweet and wonderful the people looking after him are.
The home, set in its countryside setting, a real feature, is immaculately maintained both inside and out. The seasonal decorations and displays are fun and cheerful enhancing the homely atmosphere. The range of activities and entertainment is impressive and immediately engaged Dad in the community life, particularly enjoying the visits from the alpacas which brightens his day and gets him talking!
We are so grateful to all the staff for the love and care they show to Dad and know we can trust that they always do the best for Dad. Thank you

Mum has now been a resident in Oak Lodge since February 2021 and the way we view Oak Lodge, its staff and quality of life they provide for mum hasn't changed. In fact if anything we are even more impressed than we were. Following the very difficult Covid pandemic which the staff managed magnificently,
relatives are now able to visit freely any time of day and residents are not only able to go out with friends and family but trips are also organised by the home taking the residents out.
The staff are knowledgeable and helpful and always on hand to assist in any way they can. The regular resident's meetings give everyone a chance to have their say and it's refreshing to know that these meetings are acted upon with the resident's choices for food, activities etc being taken into account, actioned and put in place.
Our feeling is just the same that the quality-of-care mum gets keeps her stimulated and mentally sharp. We feel we have made exactly the right choice for mum.

The team at Oak lodge are brilliant they have looked after my mother for nearly three years soon.
They look after her and take in all her needs as if she was a family member.
The facilities are 5 star and food is brillaint.
The activities are excellent and varied and take place every day in morning
and afternoon.
Lastly they all want the best for the people who are staying at Oak Lodge.

My mum has been so well looked after since she moved to Oak Lodge in 2020. All the basics - care, food, cleanliness are dealt with in a highly professional way but Oak Lodge also has a sense of energy and liveliness which is far above the norm. Every time I visit the trust my mum has for each member

My mother arrived at Oak Lodge in a very frail condition following six weeks in hospital, unable to walk or stand independently and requiring assistance in every aspect of daily life. The care and encouragement that she has received from the wonderful team has been outstanding. My mother is looking
well, regained some of the lost weight and is able to get around with a walking frame, a big improvement physically and mentally.
Moving to a nursing home is not an easy decision to make and choosing somewhere is difficult. Oak Lodge, with its wonderful gardens and luxury indoor facilities, makes that choice easier.
Thank you to all of the team for helping Mum to settle in.

My mother started to fall in January 2021 in the middle of Brexit. It was obvious that she couldn't stay on her own anymore. I live in Germany and couldn't travel at the time, but I have a very good friend whose mother was also in Oak Lodge until she died in 2020. She was full of praise for all the
staff and how everything was run so lovingly. There was no other place for me, as I know that my friend only ever wanted the best for her mum.
My mum has now been nearly a year in Oak Lodge and after seeing it all myself for 2 months in August and September I am really impressed.
There is never anything too much and they all treat the residents with respect and patience.
I am only full of praise for Oak Lodge and the whole staff.

A few years ago Oak Lodge cared for my mother-in-law and she was very happy there. Unfortunately, in late Summer of 2020, my own Mother was unable to continue living independently and so when our family had to make that difficult decision, we didn't hesitate to think again of Oak Lodge. We were delighted
to hear that many of the staff members who had made life happy, safe and fun for my mother-in-law were still at Oak Lodge and all with the same dedication and enthusiasm for life that we had seen a few years back. Our family was delighted and although my Mother was hesitant about residential care, she was willing to give it a try after the welcome she received. Despite all the pressures that 2020 had brought this sector, Oak Lodge has remained the haven we remember from previous times. The care, patience and good natured nurturing staff are a real credit to the caring profession and we stand in awe of the whole Oak Lodge team. We thank them all.

On our first visit to Oak Lodge, we were impressed by the modern, well-maintained gardens and facilities, all situated in quiet pleasant Hampshire countryside. Mum initially agreed to a four-week stay to experience life at Oak Lodge for herself. During that time she was so happy with the kindness, assistance
and willing support from the different Oak Lodge teams that she asked to extend her stay. Mum has now been resident at Oak Lodge for over four years and she was delighted to be able to celebrate her 100th birthday there two years ago with friends and relatives. Mum is happy to know she can rely on the staff who are knowledgeable, considerate, well-organised and work efficiently as a team. Mum continues to feel "at home" at Oak Lodge; she is contented and relieved to be free from the worries she had in the past when living alone at home.

My Aunt has been living at Oak Lodge for more than 3 years now, and it felt like home from the moment we moved her in. I have never had a worry, or doubt that this home was a very lucky find. It is so clean, something that impressed me at the beginning and standards have never slipped. The staff
are all happy in their work and very friendly and approachable, it feels like one big family. Every visit has uplifted me, seeing the care that everyone gets and the happy atmosphere. My Aunt does not make the most of the activities and facilities as she likes to be in her room, but evidence of lots of crafts and events reflects how everyone is treated individually. My Aunt has coped with the restricted visits during recent lockdowns, and alternatives have been put in place brilliantly. In fact, I think I am missing the visits to the activity room, making coffee and sitting down for a chat with my Aunt overlooking the terrace more than her!

My mother was living independently at home until she was 98. It became increasingly clear that her house was no longer suitable even with adaptations. She moved to Oak Lodge four years ago, for a trial period, and quickly realised what the advantages were. A bright intelligent lady, I can honestly say
that she has adapted well, maintained a reasonable standard of health, and thrived on the extensive programme of activities and entertainment provided. The staff have excelled themselves, particularly during the pandemic, with all the extra work involved. My mother is a kind, compassionate and outgoing lady, she understands and appreciates the apprehension experienced by new residents, and will help them to settle. I am delighted that she is so happy at Oak Lodge. This is because the staff, as a whole, have consistently shown great kindness, intelligence and understanding at all times, in looking after her, and communicating with us. We thank them all on her behalf.

A well-organised facility with a great management team and a wonderful group of careers. The purpose-built building allows different degrees of community and segregation and the rooms are comfortable and of a good size. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming and all the residents are happy and peaceful.
Overall a great facility and one where my mother is well looked after. For management and staff ratings below there should be a category above excellent!

My mother has been in Oak Lodge for several years because of dementia issues. She has got progressively worse and is now bedridden. She has never been one of life's little angels and can be very rude and ungrateful. But I think that she is treated with respect and friendliness even when she is being
very difficult. It cannot be an easy job coping with her behaviour but the staff do it willingly. There are few places where all the staff greet you with a smile whether they know you or not - this is a true accolade with respect to the caring atmosphere in the home. The place is really well kept up and really clean and not smelly!

My mother is well looked after, feels safe, is happy and enjoys the spirit in Oak Lodge.
She is well-fed, entertained and is stimulated during the day.
Her medical condition is monitored and she is quickly referred to a doctor if needed.
It makes me very happy to see her smiling and relaxed at this

In her own words “Good food and nutrition are important to everyone, especially the elderly. I am passionate right from the start of the planning, ordering, cooking through to serving the food to our residents. I carefully consider each of their likes and dislikes and enjoy seeing empty plates and well-nourished residents.
