The NHS will usually contribute towards your fees if you require nursing care from a registered nurse (this only applies to permanent care, not respite). FNC is provided irrespective of whether your fees are self-funded or Local Authority funded. Every visit is a pleasure the home is immaculately clean, the staff are welcoming and agreeable. My mother is always swell looked after and contented, active in the sense she is with the other residents and sometimes involved in activities, obviously the ones that she can participate but always in a group. I am reassured and happy that she is in a fantastic establishment keep up the great work!
I have to congratulate Oak Lodge on the way in which they have looked after my mother. My mother since her arrival just before Xmas. It is an amazing nursing home and must rate as the best one I have seen. The staff are extremely friendly and interact really well with the residents. The manager is very approachable and a caring sensitive leader. The head of care is also fantastic in her care and approach. The kitchen staff have been extremely adaptable due to my mother's gluten free diet. It is a most impressive establishment.
As a family from our first thoughts regarding placing dad in a care home we admit to feeling trepidation. However from the first point of contact via the telephone to the day dad moved in they very quickly were able to reassure us and give us professional guidance. Dad's 6 months at the home as a result of the amazing caring staff were peaceful and he was treated with complete respect dignity and love.
