Oak Lodge is an ‘Outstanding’ (October 2020) and award-winning care home combining 24-hour residential and nursing care with warm and friendly hospitality for up to 60 residents on a permanent and respite basis.

Purpose-built on the foundations of a country farm complex, within a beautiful 300-acre Hampshire countryside estate, Oak Lodge is a quintessentially British care home blending state-of-the-art facilities and stimulating environments with a homely atmosphere and family approach to person-centred care.

Residents enjoy beautiful farmland views from their luxury bedrooms equipped with ensuite facilities, spacious communal for entertaining and dining, glazed walkways, a dedicated activities room, hair salon and family room. Outside, a landscaped garden, quaint summer house, tranquil flower courtyard with water feature and a raised herb garden tended to by the residents’ gardening club, provide outdoor space for residents and their loved ones to enjoy.

Their dedicated activities team prioritise resident wellbeing by organising a variety of meaningful and joyful group, individual and one-to-one activities and experiences. Some of the many activities they provide are; cultural days, themed tea parties and dining experiences, floristry workshops, gardening club, arts & crafts, beauty sessions, trips out to nearby attractions, live musical entertainers – tap, jive and Irish dancing, Ukulele players, Motown singers, tribute acts and visiting animals – alpacas, monkeys and even penguins to name a few!

Superb care home in every respect. Cannot fault in any way. Nothing is ever too much trouble.
The care is second to none and the staff are amazing.
Activities available are wide ranging and all residents are encouraged, but not forced in any way to participate.
We would unreservedly recommend this

The home is situated in a very tranquil position surrounded by beautiful countryside. The staff are always welcoming, caring and very friendly and nothing seems to be too much trouble; everything is done with a smile on their face. My mother-in-law has been a resident for 6 months and has settled in
really well. She will be 102 next month; she spent 6 weeks in hospital with a severe chest infection during last winter. When she was discharged in January, she looked every year her age, but after 6 months at Oak Lodge with lots of tender loving care she has gone from strength to strength and is very happy. There are lots of events organised and the activities room is well used. I am so pleased that we found this place as it has really put our minds at rest that she is so well cared for. She even has her hair done weekly, which makes such a difference!

I visited a number of care homes in the area before Mum moved in. Oak Lodge was and is, the best. I am very happy with the care given, the quality of the staff and the environment. Everybody is helpful and pleasant.

My sister has been a resident for about 28 months having had a stroke. She was very demanding and not the easiest person to manage at first. The staff were very good and understanding and she has now settled down. I can only praise all of the staff for their help, patience and professionalism. The facilities,
food, activities and cleanliness are exemplary.

My sister was very poorly when we got her in the nursing home but after a few weeks she has greatly improved, can now speak to us quite well and with good food and drinks is so much better. Of course, we accept she will always need nursing care for the rest of her life but know she is always well looked
after especially as she is unable to walk unaided. I have nothing but praise for the way she is being cared for.

My mother has always received excellent care, even though she is now incapable of doing anything, the staff still do her hair and nails nicely and always put her jewellery on. She always looks clean and tidy.

Friendly and helpful staff and a varied range of activities. Residents are treated as individuals and personal choice is taken into a account where possible. Food generally of a good standard and alternative choices available.
What makes the difference is the management's positive attitude and the
ethos that it is the residents home they should be treated accordingly and as people. Cost ever increasing putting added burden on finance.

I came here for 3 weeks in September while my son and daughter were away in New Zealand. I have been so well cared for in every way, I have decided to stay here permanently. I am 98 years of age and able to walk still but with difficulty, therefore I have been helped at all times with great care from
the nursing staff and the carers. It has beautiful gardens and surroundings and my visits are always welcomed at any time of day.

My father was deemed 'medically fit' by the hospital following an admission and episode of pneumonia. Oak Lodge responded quickly and was able to offer a room for him. He stayed for 6 weeks convelescence during which time he grew from strength to strength - both physically and mentally. I cannot stress
enough how very kind, caring and attentive all the staff were. I had absolute trust in their care and professionalism. If the need arose both my father and I would not hesitate to return to Oak Lodge, 5-star food and care delivered with kindness and dignity.

My mother spent a third month in Oak Lodge for a rest. The staff are all very friendly and welcoming and any requests are swiftly dealt with. I have rated the activities as 'good' only because mum found them rather slow and low key for her and they are not really her thing. I always felt mum was in
very safe and genuinely friendly, caring hands here. It is not cheap, but it is well staffed and beautifully kept at all times.

Friendly staff. Laundry service very efficient. Good nursing care but a little inconsistent. Food is good. Accommodation is good and public rooms are very comfortable. The building is very clean and well decorated. Maintenance staff are very good. Good management. Good value for money.

I class Oak Lodge Nursing Home not so much as a care home, but a five-star hotel in every way. First class treatment, activities, care, thoughtfulness and consideration. Cleaning takes placed every day. Minor repairs are done instantly (and with a smile)! The well-being and longevity of the 'guests'
are a testament to the care offered by all of the staff. Visitors may call at any time and are always welcomed. At my friend's funeral, there were three staff members, one was her day off. They are amazing!

Oak Lodge Nursing Home is excellent. The staff are very professional and very caring. They treat all the residents with respect and the cleanliness is outstanding. I would definitely recommend this nursing home. I've seen a few homes and Oak Lodge Nursing Home far outshines the rest.

Made most welcome on my arrival, even though I was suffering from an illness and being unpleasant to all the staff - so they tell me! I have been encouraged to make this my home and we are succeeding. My surroundings are so lovely and I have even been allowed to bring a very favourite statue from my
own garden and furniture for my room. I can't thank the staff enough for their help and kindness if only everyone could be as lucky.

I visit my mother regularly and it doesn't matter what time of day I visit, I am always greeted by the staff warmly and everyone is always smiling. All the residents always look smart, obviously there is attention to detail on how the residents present themselves with dress and hair (for the ladies)
is very important. Everyone always looks amazing.
The house is spotless and staff are always busy entertaining and residents join in with activities where appropriate. I am very happy with my mother's care, the staff are amazing.

Although my father has only been a resident at Oak Lodge for a short period of time, my wife and I are already very impressed with the quality of the care.


To give one example, when you learn that the manager of Oak Lodge visits each and every guest every morning that she is working I have to say

that I was a little sceptical. However, when you witness that this is true on several occasions you realise that the team at Oak Lodge are caring for their guests in a way which we did not anticipate.


So we would have no hesitation in recommending Oak Lodge to anyone who is thinking of this care home as a suitable facility for their relative.

In her own words “Good food and nutrition are important to everyone, especially the elderly. I am passionate right from the start of the planning, ordering, cooking through to serving the food to our residents. I carefully consider each of their likes and dislikes and enjoy seeing empty plates and well-nourished residents. I’m proud to be part of the residents lives here and responsible for their well-being, nutritionally”.
