Oak Lodge is an ‘Outstanding’ (October 2020) and award-winning care home combining 24-hour residential and nursing care with warm and friendly hospitality for up to 60 residents on a permanent and respite basis.

Purpose-built on the foundations of a country farm complex, within a beautiful 300-acre Hampshire countryside estate, Oak Lodge is a quintessentially British care home blending state-of-the-art facilities and stimulating environments with a homely atmosphere and family approach to person-centred care.

Residents enjoy beautiful farmland views from their luxury bedrooms equipped with ensuite facilities, spacious communal for entertaining and dining, glazed walkways, a dedicated activities room, hair salon and family room. Outside, a landscaped garden, quaint summer house, tranquil flower courtyard with water feature and a raised herb garden tended to by the residents’ gardening club, provide outdoor space for residents and their loved ones to enjoy.

Their dedicated activities team prioritise resident wellbeing by organising a variety of meaningful and joyful group, individual and one-to-one activities and experiences. Some of the many activities they provide are; cultural days, themed tea parties and dining experiences, floristry workshops, gardening club, arts & crafts, beauty sessions, trips out to nearby attractions, live musical entertainers – tap, jive and Irish dancing, Ukulele players, Motown singers, tribute acts and visiting animals – alpacas, monkeys and even penguins to name a few!

My mother was in the nursing home for 26 months. I liked the look of the home from the first moment I saw it for her. It is light, spacious, clean and warm and the staff are attentive, knowledgeable and approachable. My mother was happy there, not a great joiner of things but never excluded and always
encouraged. She loved best to chat one to one and time was given to her. The end of life care was professional, caring and considerate. She was allowed to slip away with dignity.

I have found all the staff to be helpful and reassuring, taking very good care of my mother. The food is excellent and varied. The whole home is kept to a very high standard of cleanliness. Nothing is too much trouble.

Mum has only been a resident at Oak Lodge for eight weeks but has already settled far quicker than we thought she would. She has never been a social person, but the staff are working very hard with her to encourage interactivity with others. All our requests have to date been accommodated very quickly
and with enthusiasm. The location is beautiful with lovely grounds and gardens. Mum is also enjoying the food.

A wonderful nursing home, excellent care and cleanliness. nothing is too much trouble. The carers and all the staff are superb. There are always activities going on, which the residents can partake in if they wish. They even take them on the odd day out, if suitable for them.
Once again I cannot praise
them all enough for the care they give to my mum. She was in another home before, after 3 weeks we couldn't get her out quick enough. We have no worries now, as we know she is being looked after so well.

I've always found the staff very friendly and caring. I phone most days and it's never too much trouble to answer then phone and divert the call to my relatives room. There is always plenty of care in personal activities carried out. Plenty of food and drink when needed. Activities carried and topical
to keep every day a different experience. She seems very content and happy there to meet the staff and other residents in both the bedroom and downstairs in the day room and lovely gardens and summer lodge.

Gran always seems content and never complains. She's recently started re-visiting, reading novels and seems to be very alert mentally. Her personal care is very good and she is always in clean clothes looking smart. It's always a pleasure to visit the home as the staff are very friendly and helpful.
Sometimes because of work commitments, I visit early. It's never too early for the staff to welcome me and let me up to her room.

I have always felt that if the staff in a home are happy and cheerful then the residents will be as well. This is certainly true of Oak Lodge as we have always been nade to feel welcome and we can see that my Mother-in-Law is well looked after. The activities for the residents are very imaginative with
summer parties, fetes, trips out as well as visits by entertainers. An excellent home.

Mum has been here for over a year. We have always been very happy with the care and all the support she receives. The home is immaculately clean, staff are always friendly and helpful. Mum takes part in lots of different activities and is rarely in her room when I visit - which is lovely :) She enjoys
the food very much and seems to get on very well with all the staff. As a family, we couldn't wish for any better care.

An extremely pleasant nursing home;
1) Very clean public areas and father's room

Every visit is a pleasure the home is immaculately clean, the staff are welcoming and agreeable. My mother is always swell looked after and contented, active in the sense she is with the other residents and sometimes involved in activities, obviously the ones that she can participate but always in a
group. I am reassured and happy that she is in a fantastic establishment keep up the great work!

My grandmother moved into Oak Lodge in March 2015 after being moved down from Leicestershire where she has lived for 97 years on her own :) The care and empathy that she and we as a family have received from all the staff from cleaning staff right through to management has been amazing. Far beyond our
expectations. I thank our lucky stars everyday that gran was able to make Oak Lodge her home. Gran has adapted to life at Oak Lodge very well with the help and kindness of the staff. I/we can't thank everyone enough for all the care she has received at the age of nearly 99. She has a new and different life and we look forward to a big celebration for her 100th here at Oak Lodge.

I have to congratulate Oak Lodge on the way in which they have looked after my mother. My mother since her arrival just before Xmas. It is an amazing nursing home and must rate as the best one I have seen. The staff are extremely friendly and interact really well with the residents. The manager is very
approachable and a caring sensitive leader. The head of care is also fantastic in her care and approach. The kitchen staff have been extremely adaptable due to my mother's gluten free diet. It is a most impressive establishment.

As a family from our first thoughts regarding placing dad in a care home we admit to feeling trepidation. However from the first point of contact via the telephone to the day dad moved in they very quickly were able to reassure us and give us professional guidance. Dad's 6 months at the home as a result
of the amazing caring staff were peaceful and he was treated with complete respect dignity and love.

I am passionate right from the start of the planning, ordering, cooking through to serving the food to our residents. I carefully consider each of their likes and dislikes and enjoy seeing empty plates and well-nourished residents.
