Mum moved into Ashley Lodge at the beginning of June on a permanent basis. Mum is very well looked after and is very happy there. The staff are all excellent and the manager is always available and very approachable.
The activities are a lovely part of the day and are varied and well run. The level
of care mum receives is excellent and nothing is too much trouble.
Initially I found it very difficult when mum went into the home but mum has settled in very quickly and within a very short space of time thinks of it as home.

The care given to my dad was excellent. From the 1st time we met with the Care Home manager to the end of his stay there. The staff were all extremely helpful and patient with my dad when he wasn't always co-operating fully or on his best behaviour. They also treated him with respect and in a friendly
manner which was much appreciated. It was good to see my dad smile when some of the staff came in to see him. We also noticed how frequently the staff checked in with dad while they were passing his room.


In addition, the staff were always very friendly and helpful to ourselves in such a difficult time for the family. The food, drinks and toiletries provided to us as we stayed with our dad were very much appreciated.


Thank you all for what you did for my dad whilst he was with you.

My mother is always telling the family how good the food is and how lovely the staff are. She is always clean and well dressed whenever we visit, and enjoys taking part in all the activities. All the staff know her by name, even the catering staff and receptionists. The entire home is well cared for,
and when you walk in, it puts you in mind of a hotel and not a care home. She loves the hair salon!

Mum spent close to 3 months at Ashley Lodge following a very difficult situation, and with various health issues. The staff immediately made us feel so welcome, and made sure all of Mum's needs were catered for, with a level of care and efficiency like I've never seen before. Medical and other needs
are seen to extremely quickly and with much care, which was a revelation, and such a relief to us.
Visiting Mum every day, at varying times was never a problem, and despite suffering badly with anxiety, I never felt anything but welcome and at ease. I can't recommend Ashley Lodge highly enough
A massive thanks to the Manager and Deputy Manager who moved mountains to help us through a very difficult time, and also to all of the staff who helped make Mum's stay safe and comfortable.

Ashley Lodge is a very caring and compassionate care home under the circumstances. The staff are absolutely brilliant and make a difficult situation lighthearted. It is always a great pleasure to speak with each and everyone of them. My father is in the best hands in their care.

Nan was scared about going into a residential care home, but at the grand age of 96 when she entered here, she quickly began to like it. (Nan always liked Ashley Lodge, as another member of her family was here a few years ago and was treated very well before she passed.)The staff are lovely to her,
and she loves it when they chat and interact with her. She has made some nice friends to talk to, but also enjoys it when she has visitors, which she has most days from her Daughter and Son, down to her Grandchildren even her Great Granddaughter, and occasionally her Great Great Grandchildren.
Nan loves the food here, and if there's something she doesn't like, they quickly find her something else to eat.

I come every few weeks to see my mum who has been in the home for over 2 1/2 years, the staff are always friendly, smiling, personable and so caring, could not ask for anything better. My mum is so happy in the home, she is made to feel special all the time and looked after with first class nurses and
management. The senior manager of the home, is far more than just a manager, she is a friend and feels like family every time I come to visit mum. Cannot speak more highly about the care home, staff, environment, food and just everyone being so accommodating and personable.
Thank you for making mum so comfortable and even with her dementia, she is always smiling and that's down to every single person who works at Ashley Lodge and the way the management team work so hard to make it a family environment.

When no other care home would take Dad, Ashley Lodge stepped up. The "can do" practical, professional manager of the home & clinical lead made the transition to a new home swift & un-traumatic. Whilst still undergoing refurb & somewhat tired in places, the home provides a very safe environment, I couldn't
fault the care.

Not only does this home feel like one big family, the manager and team very much make it so and make you so very welcome. I was able to stay overnight twice with Mum and our dog before she passed away. Every single staff member truly did care, the love for Mum that I witnessed and overheard blew me
away. Having been a carer myself for many years, the true compassion from everyone for Mum and myself was incredible. This home truly does care and is a beacon of good practice.

My uncle had a crisis at home. The manager amazingly responded the same day and my Uncle is now in a safe and comfortable environment.
His condition has greatly improved and the manager and her team got on top of this within 12 hours of being admitted. He got a GP referral straight away and my uncle
is now clinically well.
The staff are responsive and friendly and all his needs are met.

My husband has been treated with kindness, dignity and respect since he moved there in November last. He has dementia and mobility issues and other ailments of old age.
His room is quiet and comfortable, the whole house is light, bright and airy, easy to navigate and has a good lively and warm atmosphere.
They do have plenty of activities if residents wish to take part and a lovely garden with lots of greenery to enjoy on warmer days. The carers and nurses are compassionate and gentle and the whole ethos of Ashley Lodge is spread from the management style and is somewhere I am confident and comfortable to know my husband is being cared for. Somewhat, in fact, I will probably be happy to live myself eventually.

My husband has been in the home for 5 months. He is very comfortable and settled in the home. It has been a journey for us as a family but from the time we walked into the home initially for respite care, the home has been able to offer comfort and support for all my husband's needs, medically, emotionally
and physically. The manager is very much hands-on and leads the team with the same aims and goals that serve the home. This provides a very happy and positive effect for all and especially the residents. Not only is support provided for residents but the family also as this is a very emotional journey.

Mum has a lovely room and is very comfortable at Ashley Lodge. The entire staff worked hard to make her feel welcome and get her settled in. Nothing is too much trouble, even her vegetarian/pescatarian food preferences. In fact, she's eating better than she has for a long time. When I saw how nicely
the lunch was served and caught the smell of it too, I could understand why she likes it! Her health needs are also being managed very efficiently. While this is not a super-slick modern purpose-built home, the culture and team spirit among staff ensures a caring family atmosphere. I'm so grateful that Mum is at last safe and being well looked after. And I have no hesitation in recommending Ashley Lodge, it just ticks all the boxes.

My father was transferred here from hospital, I was anxious about him going into care but the whole team have supported not only my father but the whole family through this transition. The manager is lovely and has taken the time to get to know the family. All the staff are so friendly and caring and
Dad enjoys chatting to them all. After a difficult 9 weeks in hospital, Dad is now settled in a caring environment.

My Uncle has been in Ashley Lodge since coming out of hospital with an ongoing unpleasant illness where he requires help with most everyday needs. He is mentally strong and aware which helps us personally, to be reassured that the support and care that is required is good and as a family, for the time

Overall we found the care home to be very clean, pleasant with a lovely atmosphere. All of the staff we met were friendly and extremely helpful. My sister whom we visited twice was very relaxed and seemed quite happy in her environment. We did have a nice chat with the manager and she seems to be very
on top of everything and was able to give us some insight into how my sister was coping. I do feel very much that my sister is in the right place and getting first-class care.

My wife was transferred to Ashley Lodge Care Home in New Milton directly from hospital for EOLC after suffering a fall, hip operation, pneumonia, and C Diff. Unexpectedly she survived just over a week. During that time both she and our family received exceptional care. Nothing was too much trouble and
we were looked after so well. It was such a difference from the hospital surroundings as we could come and go as we pleased, they fed us and we were able to stay during the night if we wanted to. The Carers, Nurses, and Admin Staff were great and very proficient. Thank you so much for looking after my lovely Wife.

I was born and raised in the village of Ashley so when the opportunity came up to make a difference to one of my local care homes, I grabbed it with both hands.


I’m a great believer in giving something back so spend a lot of time raising money for both local and national charities.

From kitchen work to housekeeping – I’ve done a bit of everything to help and I’ve loved it! I previously visited a care home when one of my relatives was in care and I couldn’t wait to get out of the place, but I’ve never had that feeling at Ashley Lodge. I walked in and the home was clean and tidy, the residents were lovely, and the staff were just so welcoming.”


“I love having a chat with our residents when I can but being part of making a difference to their lives is my favourite thing about working here. A few weeks ago the kitchen team served mince pies at afternoon tea and one of our residents was so excited! He told me how much he loves them, so I spoke to the kitchen and got him some extra ones and his face just lit up, he was so happy! It’s the little things that can make a huge difference to their day and I go home happy knowing that I made that happen.”
