My mum wasn't happy about being in a home.
Wilton Manor has been exceptional in the care they provide for my mum. Plenty of activities.
The staff are exemplary.

I visit every day and cannot fault the service provided.

When my mum first arrived at Wilton Manor, she really didn't like it, but a few months down the line, she is very settled, and now likes it there. This is all thanks to all the staff, and especially the senior carer, who has helped my mum so much, and I'm so grateful to her.

My mother has been in respite at Wilton Manor Care Home for the last six weeks with a view to becoming a permanent resident. I have been very pleased with the care given and can visibly see how much better my mother has become since entering. She is especially happy with the carers, who are so loving and very kind in every way. Food is excellent. She loves the company and has been very happy to join in with the activities. Covid restrictions are followed according to Government guidelines, so it will be better when this is back to normal, and visitors and outside visits become available.

As my husband went into care in lockdown, I had little choice as to where he went, so was very anxious, but I needn't have worried because Wilton Manor turned out to be excellent for my husband's needs. Over the last few weeks, as I have been able to visit him, I have found the staff very friendly and helpful. I think he is in very good hands.

We wanted my Aunt to be placed somewhere nice and Wilton Manor Care Home is well beyond our expectations. The staff are lovely, and the home is clean, tidy and well decorated. Going into a home is not always easy for the elderly, so to be placed somewhere where it feels like home, is really important.

Despite problems arising from the virus outbreak, Wilton Manor is working hard to provide a good standard of care for its residents. Wilton Manor is taking great care to follow Public Health guidelines, particularly in regards to checks on visitors. It is difficult to comment in detail because of ongoing restrictions on visits but I have no reason to think that standards have declined. As always the staff seem kind, courteous, helpful and patient towards residents and visitors.

Well cared for with very clean and well-decorated rooms and a very nice friendly and personal approach to looking after people suffering from dementia. The staff are well trained and keep the family fully informed with regards to my Mum's needs and healthcare. Although my Mum is unable to partake in the activities, it would appear that there are some activities opening up after covid for the residents to join in. I am impressed with mum's care.

Since my husband has been in Wilton Manor Care Home. I have been impressed with every aspect of his care. We as a family have found the care that mum has received as exemplary when she arrived there she was losing weight and stayed in bed, yet now she is eating better and has become very much more mobile with or without her Zimmer frame!! Mum is always pleased to see us, and we have nothing but praise for the staff at Wilton for taking such very good care of mum.

My husband is a resident and my experience with his care is amazing. I couldn't look after him as well. Over the past year, it must have been awful for staff, their dedication to residents and their families. Hoping to be able to visit my husband soon.

My mother has been in Wilton Manor since October 2020 and I must say, I am very pleased with the home and staff. Due to covid, I am unable to see the inside of the home, but I cannot believe it would be any different than the photos. It looks and feels, like a well-managed home. The staff are very friendly and helpful. My mother seems very happy and if she is happy, I am happy. Well impressed, so thank you, Wilton Manor.

They do everything they can, introducing activities to engage with all the residents. When speaking with the staff, they are very compassionate. We live in Canada and our mum lives in England. Because of a house flood, our mum suddenly found herself homeless. Wilton Manor were fantastic at finding her a space and making her feel so very welcome and safe. During these very challenging Covid times, it was a huge comfort to us that our mum was safe and being looked after by all the amazing staff at Wilton Manor. Sadly, our mum did end up contracting Covid and we are extremely glad to tell you that she survived and we give full credit to the round-the-clock care that she received. The staff included us, every step of the way, with video calls and emails and we are so pleased. Our mum has made many friends in the home and has decided to stay, which is again, a huge relief to us. We know she is safe and cared for. Thank you Wilton Manor Care Home.

I have been working for Bupa for 14 years. I started out as a student nurse at Wilton Manor after moving over from Saudi and I progressed to a Senior Nurse and I'm now the Clinical Deputy Manager. My previous roles were working in hospitals, so moving to care homes was quite a change and I have never looked back! I love Interacting with the residents and get such fulfilment in providing outstanding care.

I have been working for Bupa for 7 years. Born and bred in Southampton, I am a family man and enjoy spending time with my children, cycling, arranging fishing trips for our residents and hearing all about their life stories. I have worked for 17 years in the catering business across hotels and pubs, but moved to Wilton Manor as I wanted to support those in care to have food they love and enjoy. Here I enjoy working with fresh ingredients to make fresh food for the residents to make a varied menu for everyone to enjoy.
