Wilton Manor provides person-centred care for people living with dementia, including residential and nursing care. This purpose-built home has dementia champions who work to improve the quality of life for residents through daily activities and opportunities for reminiscence and stimulation.

Wilton Manor has been awarded a ‘good’ rating by the Care Quality Commission following an unannounced inspection and an 'outstanding' in effective (March 2019).

The home is completely accessible both inside and out, with a lift inside the home and wheelchair friendly paths throughout the garden. This purpose-built facility has attractive bedrooms, all en-suite, and a 24-hour call system so that residents can live with confidence and reassurance safely.

Wilton Manor’s chef is determined to meet all tastes and nutritional needs, reflected in the healthy and varied menu on offer.

Group activities are enjoyed by residents such as flower arranging and arts and crafts as well as regular visits from Pets as Therapy dogs. Individuals are encouraged by the home’s activity coordinator to pursue their own hobbies and interests.

Over the past six months, the cleanliness of Mum's room has improved enormously. I think the staff do a tremendous job, given the restraints in numbers.

Over the years that I have been visiting my husband, I have observed that the staff are always kind and supportive and patient with all the clients. I am treated with respect and they endeavour to give me as much information as they are able.
They are generous with their time and seem to possess an
enormous amount of patience and cheerful disposition.

Happy that my mother is cared for with consideration and the care she deserves. Her health has been steady and level whilst her needs for attention also appear good. Occasionally though personal attention to dress and hair can be lacking.

I cannot speak highly enough of the care my mother receives at Wilton Manor Care Home. She is well looked after by the staff who all call her by her name and go out of their way to interact with her despite her being non-communicative. Her needs are regularly reviewed and any changes implemented. The
facilities at the home are modern and well maintained and include a residents' lounge, garden and an ensuite bedroom. The staff are always happy to deal with my enquiries or to ring me with any concerns. My mother has had to be hospitalised twice this year and each time the situation has been dealt with swiftly and professionally. There are always plenty of activities available to residents and visitors which clearly bring pleasure to all concerned.

Good, clean premises with a large car park. Welcoming, helpful staff throughout. My friend's room was clean and well-appointed. The staff knew him well and were friendly towards him. The facilities we saw looked good. (We went out for a drink to a local pub on a staff member's recommendation - good
choice!) Altogether very positive about the place, the care and medical support my friend is getting.

My mother has experienced no problems since moving into this home and any teething problems were quickly sorted. There is always somebody around to answer any questions you may have and we are kept up to date with any problems regarding Mum's health.
The maintenance team were only too pleased to help
with making her room more like home, with the fixing of display shelves and photos etc.
The garden is always well maintained and the home is very welcoming to everyone.

Residents are well cared for. There are communal areas for resident interaction. Individual bedrooms for quiet times. Dedicated staff and secure facilities. Lots of activities and a lovely garden area to sit out in.

From the initial talks with the manager about Mum moving into the home, up to the present, the dedication and care from the staff has been outstanding. The team is like having new family for Mum and she has really enjoyed the tea dances and other activities. She doesn't have to feel lonely any more
(even though we visited often, she still did feel lonely in her flat previously).
When it was her 100th birthday in January, the staff were all brilliant, helping with the celebrations.

My Mum and Dad were both residents in Wilton Manor for over a year until they passed away within weeks of each other recently. The care and attention they were given and shown by all the staff, were second to none. They felt comfortable and treated it as a home from home. I was also made to feel very
welcome on my regular visits. I have no hesitation in recommending Wilton Manor to future users.

My wife needed to move into a care home as was getting very confused.
As a family, we are so happy with the way she settled into Wilton Manor.

I have been working for Bupa for 14 years. I started out as a student nurse at Wilton Manor after moving over from Saudi and I progressed to a Senior Nurse and I'm now the Clinical Deputy Manager. My previous roles were working in hospitals, so moving to care homes was quite a change and I have never looked back! I love Interacting with the residents and get such fulfilment in providing outstanding care.

I have been working for Bupa for 7 years. Born and bred in Southampton, I am a family man and enjoy spending time with my children, cycling, arranging fishing trips for our residents and hearing all about their life stories. I have worked for 17 years in the catering business across hotels and pubs, but moved to Wilton Manor as I wanted to support those in care to have food they love and enjoy. Here I enjoy working with fresh ingredients to make fresh food for the residents to make a varied menu for everyone to enjoy.
