Wilton Manor provides person-centred care for people living with dementia, including residential and nursing care. This purpose-built home has dementia champions who work to improve the quality of life for residents through daily activities and opportunities for reminiscence and stimulation.

Wilton Manor has been awarded a ‘good’ rating by the Care Quality Commission following an unannounced inspection and an 'outstanding' in effective (March 2019).

The home is completely accessible both inside and out, with a lift inside the home and wheelchair friendly paths throughout the garden. This purpose-built facility has attractive bedrooms, all en-suite, and a 24-hour call system so that residents can live with confidence and reassurance safely.

Wilton Manor’s chef is determined to meet all tastes and nutritional needs, reflected in the healthy and varied menu on offer.

Group activities are enjoyed by residents such as flower arranging and arts and crafts as well as regular visits from Pets as Therapy dogs. Individuals are encouraged by the home’s activity coordinator to pursue their own hobbies and interests.

My brother has settled in now after initially being a little uncertain of his surroundings. The staff have been very patient with him, and he is now beginning to join in with the social activities and enjoy them.

Mum was discharged from hospital to Wilton Manor Care Home in December 2020 - she was in the advanced stages of Alzheimer's and had a broken neck - she was classified as 'end of life'. It was a very difficult time for Mum and for her family but the nursing and care was truly unsurpassable. With Covid
restrictions family were often unable to visit but the staff would be in constant contact and always happy to receive a call - being honest and reassuring regarding Mum's health. Mum recovered from her broken neck and spent a further 18 months at Wilton Manor Care Home before she passed away comfortable and peacefully in their care. Her life had changed beyond recognition but the family cannot thank the staff enough for all they did for Mum during her time there - going the extra mile to keep mum as happy and safe as possible. Such a wonderful team throughout the nursing home - supporting family in every possible way. Thank you so much for your love and care all at Wilton Manor Care Home.

Staff at Wilton Manor have always taken the utmost care to make the residents as comfortable and independent as possible during these unprecedented times. Nothing is too much trouble and have never hesitated to contact me regarding the welfare of my mother, and I have seen firsthand the respect they
have shown to other residents during my visits. The activities team ensures that there is something available for everyone to take part in no matter What level of ability they present. The home is always clean and inviting with happy smiling staff to greet you.
My mother has been at Wilton Manor for nearly 2 years now very happily.

My mum lived her final 2 years in Wilton Manor Care Home and died a peaceful death there in April. She had complex dementia care needs and the staff there responded so well to these, adapting to ensure she got what was right for her. They kept me informed about her care, and I knew that when I was not
there mum was safe and well looked after. Staff went beyond "just care', they loved and understood my mum.

My mum wasn't happy about being in a home.
Wilton Manor has been exceptional in the care they provide for my mum. Plenty of activities.
The staff are exemplary.
I visit every day and cannot fault the service provided.

When my mum first arrived at Wilton Manor, she really didn't like it, but a few months down the line, she is very settled, and now likes it there. This is all thanks to all the staff, and especially the senior carer, who has helped my mum so much, and I'm so grateful to her.

My mother has been in respite at Wilton Manor Care Home for the last six weeks with a view to becoming a permanent resident. I have been very pleased with the care given and can visibly see how much better my mother has become since entering. She is especially happy with the carers, who are so loving
and very kind in every way. Food is excellent. She loves the company and has been very happy to join in with the activities. Covid restrictions are followed according to Government guidelines, so it will be better when this is back to normal, and visitors and outside visits become available.

As my husband went into care in lockdown, I had little choice as to where he went, so was very anxious, but I needn't have worried because Wilton Manor turned out to be excellent for my husband's needs. Over the last few weeks, as I have been able to visit him, I have found the staff very friendly and
helpful. I think he is in very good hands.

We wanted my Aunt to be placed somewhere nice and Wilton Manor Care Home is well beyond our expectations. The staff are lovely, and the home is clean, tidy and well decorated. Going into a home is not always easy for the elderly, so to be placed somewhere where it feels like home, is really important.

My daughter and I visited my sister for the first time in 15 months today and what a pleasant experience it was. Staff were very welcoming and my sister's health has improved so much since being there for almost a year. All staff seemed very kind, thoughtful and happy.

Despite problems arising from the virus outbreak, Wilton Manor is working hard to provide a good standard of care for its residents. Wilton Manor is taking great care to follow Public Health guidelines, particularly in regards to checks on visitors. It is difficult to comment in detail because of ongoing
restrictions on visits but I have no reason to think that standards have declined. As always the staff seem kind, courteous, helpful and patient towards residents and visitors.

This home has provided excellent, professional and friendly care for my mum. They treat her with dignity and respect as well as providing excellent nursing care. They are brilliant at keeping in touch with us; if there are any changes at all with mum, no matter how small they may be.

I have been working for Bupa for 14 years. I started out as a student nurse at Wilton Manor after moving over from Saudi and I progressed to a Senior Nurse and I'm now the Clinical Deputy Manager. My previous roles were working in hospitals, so moving to care homes was quite a change and I have never looked back! I love Interacting with the residents and get such fulfilment in providing outstanding care.

I have been working for Bupa for 7 years. Born and bred in Southampton, I am a family man and enjoy spending time with my children, cycling, arranging fishing trips for our residents and hearing all about their life stories. I have worked for 17 years in the catering business across hotels and pubs, but moved to Wilton Manor as I wanted to support those in care to have food they love and enjoy. Here I enjoy working with fresh ingredients to make fresh food for the residents to make a varied menu for everyone to enjoy.
