Arden House Nursing Home Reviews (22)
Over all time Arden House Nursing Home has 22 reviews.
Excellent care, staff, manager, activities, food, attention, and atmosphere. The space in the house is a little bit tight. Not enough staff to take residents to the garden frequently in the spring and summer as an important activity, when possible.
My wife, who has had Alzheimer's disease for 8 years, has been a resident in Arden House for 2 and a half years. She has received exemplary nursing care throughout from a dedicated and attentive staff. I am always warmly welcomed and feel much at home when I visit Arden House with its peaceful and relaxed environment.
He says Arden House is a nice place and he has all he wants, he is treated with dignity. I echo all that my uncle says, staff are always very helpful and supportive.
My father has been a resident since October 2020, and they've been brilliant, working hard to accommodate his special needs. It such a relief to know he's in good hands and is being well looked after.
Our mother has been a resident at Arden House for the past 14-months. The staff at Arden House are very attentive, and our mother has been very settled and happy there. She enjoys the food there, and the home is spotlessly clean. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The house is very small with approx 15-rooms, which makes it a very friendly place, and it feels like one big family when you visit.
Small care home with a nice garden. Mum always seems happy and well looked after when we visit. Her room is always clean with a pleasant outlook. The staff are always friendly and the manager has been helpful and efficient. Covid has meant we haven't seen too much of the communal areas but the place generally has a happy calm atmosphere. Very happy we chose Arden house.
Thank you, Andrew. It is such a shame that more open visiting and involvement in our events and activities is not yet allowed - let's hope for it soon. But most importantly family and friends can now visit, which is so important for us all.
The end of life care all the staff gave to my father was loving, kind and professional.
Always a warm greeting for visitors and you can see from other residents how well looked after everyone is.
Thank you again to all the staff. I would not hesitate to recommend this home to anyone who is looking in the area.
My mother has been a resident at Arden House for over six months now following a stroke. I have nothing but praise for all the carers, admin and catering staff, house-keeping and maintenance. They have worked hard to settle Mum in and now she is happy, relaxed and used to the daily routines. Staff are all excellent, friendly, caring, patient and always smiling. They listen to your concerns and help to solve ongoing health worries.
We expect my mother to thoroughly enjoy her 100th birthday in August this year. It helps she is in full possession of her faculties but without the care over these years, she would not be celebrating this milestone.
Arden House is a small family run nursing home. My mother has been a resident for 4 years and is still very happy there. The staff are caring and efficient and the same staff as when mum arrived. Children and dogs are made welcome - to my granddaughters, it is home from home. Nothing is too much bother - thank you to Arden House Nursing Home.
My mother is a long standing resident of Arden House and we have been delighted by the care she has received. The relatively small size of Arden House means that there is a friendly, caring atmosphere. The staff are exceptional and it is always a pleasure to visit.
My dad was in Arden House for 2 1/2 years, he even said he loved it. Staff were brill with Dad, always had a chat and laugh with him. He always looked clean and tidy, even had his hat on every day. He loved the food and the pudding, truly his eyes would light up every time. I'm so glad I found Arden house. Such a loving and caring home, I couldn't have wished for more. Thank you everyone.
My mother has been made very comfortable and is well cared for since she is now fully bed bound. Staff take extreme care with her as she is very fragile and try to engage with her as much as possible.
My mother has been at Arden house for 18 months. We had moved Mum from another home as we were not comfortable that she was being well cared for. We have been delighted with Arden house. The staff are brilliant as is the accommodation and food. The home is small and there is a lively sociable atmosphere. As a family, we are always made to feel very welcome and in addition to the activities for residents, there are many events arranged that include family members.
Arden House provides a full care service which not only keeps their residents comfortable and looked after but also allows them to participate in a range of activities, crucially only to the extent they want. Residents trust the staff and participate more and more over time as Arden House becomes their home from home.
Thanks to the relatively small size and continuity of staff, Arden House has an exceptionally warm and friendly atmosphere. Great efforts are made to ensure residents are comfortable and content, whatever the limitations imposed by their health issues. There is a constantly changing timetable of activities, many of them devised with great imagination according to the staff on and significant events (such as a Royal Wedding). Resident's relatives are also made to feel very welcome by the staff whenever they visit.
Unfortunately, my husband passed away in November 2017 but I will never forget the care he was given.
Thank you to you all.
My mother-in-law has been given excellent care since arriving at Arden House Nursing Home. The staff are caring, friendly and efficient and professional. The atmosphere is homely and happy and visitors are always welcomed. The many events are inclusive. I would not hesitate to recommend Arden House Nursing Home. Thank you!
My wife had Alzheimer's and was a resident at Arden House for 14 months. During this time she was looked after with great care and dignity. The staff, manager and owners could not have been any kinder or helpful to my wife of 65 years every day as we could not bear to be apart. We enjoyed the food which was of a high quality, home cooked and I fed my wife myself as I wanted to. When she died we were able to stay with her which helped immensely. Can't speak more highly of Arden House. Thank you.
Upon retiring, I moved north with every intention of taking mum with me, but despite extensive searching, I could not find anywhere that gave me the reassurance of care and individual support that always shines through at Arden House.
