Overall Experience

Our father stayed at Brunswick Court for palliative care. The care and management from all the staff in all the teams and functions (clinical, finance, nurses, care staff and facilities) from liaising prior to his move, his move and then after he passed away was excellent, and beyond our expectations. The support of the Manager (Jas) and her team overseeing his care was exemplary, and always took the time to listen to our needs as his care was evolving, and ensured that his needs were adapting to his evolving medical needs. The care and compassion when dad passed away was dignified, respectful and ensured as a family we could manage our grief whilst balancing the required processes that needed to be completed and followed at this time. Having the ability to visit him 24 hours allowed us as family to be with him throughout his time, and especially during his last days. The facilities were excellent, and his room and the common areas were always kept tidy and clean. Thank you

My dad stayed at Brunswick Court for palliative care during the last few weeks of his life. His pain was well managed and he was kept comfortable which was our main priority. 2 of the nurses were especially informative and caring when it was obvious they were very busy. Most of the team providing personal care were kind and considerate. His room was cleaned regularly and his laundry done on a daily basis. The manager was available and empathetic.

I fail to understand how this home has any stars!

I feel my uncle and the family were very let down - he was taken to hospital and we were not notified for 13 hours. He passed away in hospital and the home were unaware as they didn't contact the hospital for an update.

The vast majority of staff, from front desk, nurses, carers & domestic, go above & beyond their job descriptions. This is needed as their simply aren't enough, especially carers and dedicated activity staff. Too often I've seen residents left alone in lounges or in the activity room because here are not, no matter who says differently, enough to cover when either everyday tasks are being performed or a resident is in need of help elsewhere. I'm also concerned staff are not paid sick leave as this only encourages illnesses to be brought into the home leaving all residents at risk.

This Care Home is LIFE Home. I got my 2nd life because of Tracy and This Life (Care) Home. The GM, Jyoti, Dam TEE and Timothy, Florr Manager Julaxmi, Nurses Kamal, Zida, Asma and Heda Carer Juliyana, Saida, Emily, Diana and all are very good. Activity staff Dora, Majib, Aisch, Domestic staff Paul, Fatima, Kitchen staff Dorotha, Jerry and all. The whole body of 'Care Home' have acted in a Team to give 2nd life to me. I can't thank all the nursing and care staff on Queen Elizabeth Unit enough for the excellent care given to my dad who sadly passed away in July 2025. He was placed in Brunswick Court after numerous falls and we couldn't have asked for a better home for him. He loved all the staff there despite feeling that they needed more staff, especially at night. He loved the bingo and activities. There was always something arranged every day. The catering staff provided a great choice of lovely food. The ladies from the laundry took great care with his clothes and they were always lovely and clean. We were always welcomed by friendly staff at reception, the offices and staff on other floors. It would be lovely for the residents if the garden had a makeover but it was lovely for the residents to go out onto the patio so often. Dad's room was a good size and it was always nice and clean. My family and I are extremely grateful to Brunswick Court and all its staff for looking after dad.

My aunt has been at brunswick for the last 2 years she enjoys the entertainment and different activities.
She is well looked after and if there is ever a problem staff are always happy to call me and sort it out.
I get regular updates by phone call and have the chance to bring up any problems we may have.

My aunt is still able to keep some of her independence which was key for us.

The care provided has been of a good standard and the food makes Dad very happy. The communal areas could do with sprucing up and the garden requires a complete overhaul to make it an accessible pleasant space. All the staff are friendly and helpful do their very best. However, there does seen to be an issue with their number.

My husband arrived in April 2025 ( permanent) he has settled very well, the staff are (in the most) excellent. The actual home could do with a make over as it is extremely shabby. But as I say he has settled and has accepted that he is a permanent resident. 10/10 to all the staff - you do such a fantastic job.
