Bushey House is a historic, Grade II listed building located in the heart of Bushey Village, close to Watford and NW London providing high quality residential and nursing care.

Set in stunning grounds with fantastic views, Bushey House has a welcoming coffee lounge with homemade cakes on entrance with further lounges and drawing rooms, for both residents and families to enjoy. A particular favourite is the Lawn Room, with panoramic views across the local countryside, followed closely by the bright conservatory leading to manicured grounds.

All the rooms are spacious with a touch of luxury and offer en-suite facilities throughout. Rooms can be personalised by each resident with pictures, furniture and other keepsakes important to them.

Bushey House offers 24 hour nursing care, residential care, respite and short term convalescence as well as end of life palliative care with nurses and a care team on hand 24 hours a day. The team of highly-qualified and attentive staff, focus on the individual needs of residents, with a tailored care plan for each individual. The carers here take good care of me and see I have everything I need and also very friendly, they help me with any personal papers etc, which is very helpful.

Initial impressions were good, with the manager and staff pleasant and attentive. Costs were high but the location was good and we worked on the basis that alternative homes would not be that different in terms that of cost. Some niggles became apparent; extra charge for shower gel (at £1400 per week
surely this could be included). Some food spilt on the floor was not cleared up and was still there the following day. My mother, suffering from advanced Parkinson’s, was kept in bed all of the time, even after a discussion with the staff. We worked on the assumption that the professionals knew best and agreed.


When the cost went up by £100/week we started looking around and found another home, considerably cheaper, cleaner, brighter and the manager was clear that my mother should be out of bed every day. Since the move, my mother has been brighter, more communicative and has said she prefers the new place.

This is my second visit to the care home Bushey House Beaumont both times because I needed help and care as I live alone.
I have begun to regard Beaumont Care Home as being with lots of friends and I feel I'm amongst people who I seem to have got to know. Nothing seems to be any trouble when you ask

My husband spent three very happy weeks in Bushey House Beaumont Care Community where he was taking respite care after having had an operation.
His care was very good. I had no worries that he would be neglected, the staff were all lovely, the food delicious and highly personal care, also beautiful

This is the second time I have been a resident here for respite care having been hospitalised with pneumonia. The care I have received has been extremely outstanding. Everyone has been so helpful and kind and professional which has helped so much towards getting better.

2015 also after suffering pneumonia and it was my previous experience here which encouraged me to come again.

During her stay, my mother was kindly invited to take part in nominating the employee of the month. However, she found this impossible, to single out any one person. Bushey House Beaumont has a truly wonderful, caring, devoted team of staff. They all, without exception, showed extreme professionalism,
efficiency, competence and kindness throughout her stay. Day or night, attentive to her well-being, the staff always greeted her with a smile. Nothing was too much trouble and this, combined with the excellent cuisine, accommodation, cleanliness, beautiful relaxing gardens and its geographical location, easily accessible and welcoming for visiting family and friends, made my mother's stay not only beneficial to her health but also to her morale. We cannot thank you enough and mum will certainly not hesitate to return to Bushey House Beaumont.

Having spent 6 weeks at a previous care home with less than excellent care, it was a pleasure to find Bushey House which renewed my faith in the care sphere. The home has treated me with the care, love and dignity throughout my stay. My stay in Bushey House was due to my husband having a major operation
and I have totally enjoyed my time at a truly exceptional care home, so much so that I will be returning for respite care in September.

No words can describe how well my Mum was looked after for 2 and a half years. She was loved and cared for by everyone, carers, nurses, management, restaurant and desk. I appreciate the building is having a "new image" but the conditions of this at this present time should be shown in a reduction of the price! The staff were polite and courteous respective at all times. The only criticism is that they need practice at making the bed. It fell to me to make my bed every
evening and making sure the sheets were tucked in firmly "hospital corners" were made.

This is not a complaint but fact. This home is a listed building which means any building work is very long winded. I feel that many of the items that I have ticked "satisfactory" will deserve a higher rating. This applies to management who are easy to approach and respond. So much so that the manager
has an agreement to make some changes which will be completed about June. With regard to food, there have been some difficulties in recruiting staff, but I feel confident that later on, it will deserve a higher rating.

The Home is clean, well run with a friendly atmosphere. The staff are helpful and pleasant. Any requests that are made with regard to food, special arrangements, etc are all considered and acted on if possible. The staff are very patient, sometimes under difficult circumstances. Lots of different activities
are available for those who want to try them. Residents who want to know the reason for the treatment they are receiving are informed of what/why it is happening if they want to know. I would certainly recommend this home to anyone looking for the sort of care they provide.

We needed to find a care home for my father in law who lives with us - while we travelled to Australia for 6 weeks for the birth of our first grandchild.


From the first contact to picking him up at the end of his 6 weeks stay we were more than impressed with the professionalism, service, friendliness,

cleanliness and overall facilities and care offered by the Manager and staff of this stunning home in beautiful settings. There was a good mix of male and female guests and those we met were polite and friendly and obviously enjoying life there.


Nothing was too much trouble for them - and they dealt with my father-in-laws specific needs superbly.
We had a great holiday knowing that he was being safely and lovingly looked after and have nothing but praise for the management and staff and the overall environment.


We would have no hesitation in recommending Bushey House Beaumont Care Home to anyone considering respite, holiday or longer term care.

The home is amazing, beautiful decor and wonderful grounds. The meal choices are great and the food is 5 star. The manageress is a very caring and approachable lady. The care staff are wonderful too and nothing is too much trouble for them.

I have been at Bushey House since April 2022. I qualified as a nurse in 1991 working in the NHS from 1999 to 2016. I joined Barchester Healthcare in 2016 as a Deputy Manager and have supported care homes for many years.


We aspire to be the most respected home in the area. My passion is to ensure that our residents are provided with the very best of care, dignity, respect and support to enable them to live a healthy and happy life.

I have been a nurse for over 13 years. My responsibilities involve oversight of the nursing team at Bushey House ensuring high-quality health care is delivered for our residents. I provide mentorship and training for our nurses and function as a Care Coordinator. I am also the Wellbeing Champion which entails planning and facilitating activities for residents and staff to promote health and well-being.

Before coming to the UK, I was a professional dancer, junior artist in Indian Movies and national wrestler and martial arts judo player.


I want to progress in my role as a healthcare practitioner and when I'm not at work or studying, I enjoy working out at my local gym as well as speaking with my grandparents in India via video call.

Avni Fejzullau

Job Title: Head Chef / Nutrition Champion Joined: 2005

Avni's passion for his cooking is reflected in the delivery of his food. Having won Barchester's Chef of the Year in 2008.


He and his team continue to produce inviting and delicious menus, if there is nothing on the menu you like ask and he will endeavour to please.


Avni is also one of the leaders of the Chef Academy wherein they are responsible for training new Chefs.


He has also continued to uphold the 5-star dining experience award of Barchester.

My role is to ensure the home is kept safe and clean. I am also the Infection Control Champion working closely with the nursing team to maintain the highest standards of hygiene in the home. I love to look after our beautiful residence and to make it inviting and comfortable for residents and their visitors.


I love spending time with family and friends including going to the cinema and sampling new restaurants.
