Barchester Bushey House Beaumont

I think it is definitely the right decision I have made. The staff are very good to me. I am happy to see them each morning and evening. We have chats and a laugh and I enjoy their company. I would recommend this home to anyone and I feel very safe here.

My sister only arrived in the nursing home in July after a rapid deterioration in her health due to illness and at a relatively young age, so a shock to all. I can only say that my sister appears to be met by kindness and attentiveness and in such difficult circumstances during Covid. The staff seem to be doing everything to make her life better when it must be so difficult for them not having extra input from visitors and outsiders so their time is stretched to the limit. A home in such beautiful surroundings is obviously a great help. I got a very quick response to an email with an enquiry which also shows the home is being run and led by a great manager.

I do not regret it!

I have been in the home for approximately six weeks and in that period of time, I have been treated like royalty by all the staff. it has been a privilege to have worked with and mixed with fellow lodgers over this period, even though Coronavirus was more or less at its height. Please accept my congratulations on having a property like Barchester Bushey House Beaumont on your books.

I visited my sister this week after many months of not being able to due to Coronavirus. I just wanted to thank the new manager and her team for doing such a fabulous job caring for the residents at this time. My sister has been very well cared for and supported throughout these past three months and couldn't speak highly.enough of the nurses and carers that she now considers her friends and I couldn't want more reassurance than that.

I'm very grateful to the manager and the team for looking after Mum. She's been in the home since Feb 2020 and it's been tough for us not being able to visit during the Coronavirus crisis. But we have been able to Facetime Mum regularly - the staff have always been happy to set Mum up on her tablet with headphones when we've called in advance - and it's been a great way to keep in touch. We've also been able to visit her in the garden, albeit at a safe distance. And the staff organised such a wonderful celebration with us for Mum and Dad's diamond wedding anniversary. Everyone has been so helpful, friendly and considerate. Thank you so much.

My Mum has recently become a resident at Bushey House Beaumont and completely relies on the carers for everything. The coronavirus has made it difficult to see my Mum but a visit was arranged behind glass which was greatly appreciated. Once the corona laws were a bit more relaxed, a visit was arranged to see my Mum in the garden. The carers were so kind and patient with my Mum, even making her hair look pretty for my visit and holding my Mum's hand. They were helpful in answering all my questions and reassured me when I got upset. Well done ladies. Can't thank you enough or praise you enough.

My mother is residing at Bushey House and we are very pleased with all aspects of her care. The food is lovely, the view from her room is lovely, overlooking the lovely gardens and golf club. The staff are also very caring and helpful.

Everyone has been very kind to me and supportive. my room has a beautiful view of the garden. I have enjoyed all the activities that have been offered to me. I originally came to Bushey House via the lunch club.

More importantly, Mum is looked after by a dedicated and attentive team of people at all times - from the carers and nurses to admin, cleaning staff, catering, maintenance and others. It gives us so much comfort to know that Mum has got such great care. It's a lovely place to visit, and I always feel like one of the family when I come and visit. And right now during lockdown, everybody manages to do an even more impressive job. Thank you all.

Extremely helpful in achieving my husbands move from hospital to Bushey House Beaumont quickly. The carer support was very good with some truly exceptional staff. GP's weekly visit very helpful and of a high standard. Good private physio support. As a family, we felt that my husband was in safe hands.

My mother is really happy and contented with the home, how clean it is and how friendly the staff are!

Staff all very nice.

The home is very clean. Every single staff member I've met has been polite and pleasant to speak to. They are also very helpful. Nothing is too much trouble and every problem or query my mum has had has been dealt with quickly and efficiently.

But, could do with having additional staff at night and providing wheelchairs with footrests.

Friendly staff. Pleasant surroundings. Room ideal for my needs.

Second time my husband has stayed for a week while I went abroad to see family. He gets confused in new surroundings, but staff looked after him very well and had great patience with him, managing to calm him down when he got agitated. Very satisfied.

Cannot fault the care my father received in the last few weeks of his life. Lovely room, caring staff.

My wife and I want to put in writing how delighted we were with the care given to my father at the home, particularly one member of staff, whose care and compassion for my Dad during his final two weeks was more than we hoped for. Also, one member of staff was just the most caring and considerate listener and caregiver at such a difficult time. She made my wife feel heard and she clearly understood the needs of a man approaching the last few days of life. At this was a greatly difficult time for the family, Barchester Beaumont made my father's transition both peaceful and dignified. Many thanks.
