Erskine Hall provides nursing, residential and dementia care. Inside the impressive, purpose-built home, they offer a warm welcome to long and short stays, including care for those living with Parkinson’s or Huntington’s care. Respite bookings can be made in advance if planning a holiday or break.

Based in a quiet suburb of Northwood, on the outskirts of Watford. There are plenty of peaceful spots and social spaces to spend time in. Residents have a choice of five lounges, where they can grab a book and cosy up in one of the armchairs or catch up with loved ones over coffee and cake. There’s an inviting terrace on the first floor, large patio area and lots of garden space that residents are free to explore, too. The home also benefits from a cinema room, hairdressing room with nail bar too.

There's a great atmosphere and the staff encourage residents to get involved as much as they’d like. To help residents feel at home, they take the time to get to know them. The home can then tailor activities to their interests and hobbies too. From activities such as community quizzes, crafts and flower arranging to tea dances and fetes, there is so much for residents to enjoy.

The chefs prepare a range of wholesome meals for residents to enjoy in the social dining area or in the comfort of their own room. They also talk to each resident about their likes, dislikes and any special dietary needs when they move in. That way, their food is cooked just right.

Fantastic, friendly staff who are there to help the residents and the families too.
Staff were so caring to my father in his final weeks of life.
Respect and listened to dad’s needs and family too. They are all wonderful.

Although one can usually find things to nit-pick about, I would say Erskine Hall has to be described as a clean, well-run home with a good team that I would not hesitate to recommend and it's definitely a home I would choose to return to for respite or long stay if needed.

On my first visit looking for a care home, I was greeted by very professional staff. This facility did not smell of food or other odours which I had detected at others I had visited. Erskine Hall has and is still undergoing complete refurbishment and yet the staff are amazing as they are still caring
in tricky circumstances. Nothing is too much trouble and if anything is requested - it gets done!

The staff, both caring and administrative are extremely good at welcoming new residents and very flexible and accommodating to ensure residents are as comfortable and happy as possible. Residents, as well as family members, are all made to feel at ease and welcome. We have been very happy with the care/facilities.

My sister was admitted to Erskine Hall in October 2018 and had excellent palliative care right up until her death. She was very well cared for by a kind and considerate staff for whom nothing was too much trouble. They were also very comforting to me when she was unwell. Thank you so much. Also, thank

I spent two weeks in Erskine Hall following a hip replacement operation. All the staff were very kind and caring and looked after me extremely well. The food was good and plentiful. By the end of my stay, I was fit to look after myself at home.

My mother's stay was only three months as sadly she died in the middle of December but the care in her final days was first class. The staff were so kind and did their best to keep her comfortable and meet all her needs. It was such a relief that she could end her days being cared for in a home she
was safe and so well looked after and where my son and myself were supported at such a difficult time.

My previous Nan was here 6 years ago and from that, I extremely recommend it to anyone. Such a down to earth place. Friendly staff. I have recently started coming again because I have another Nan that is now here. She absolutely loves it here as do all of my family. Food is lovely. Game and fun times
are fantastic.

My mother spent a brief period at the end of her life at Erskine Hall. The staff were very kind and attentive and did everything in their power to ensure that she was comfortable and that all her needs were met.
The care home is set within beautiful grounds and provides many amenities for its patients.

My mother was discharged from hospital after a serious infection with little long-term prospects. The round the clock assiduous care of the whole Erskine team has put her back on her feet in a way that we could never have thought possible. The personalised approach was exceptional.

I find the care all satisfactory and the Carers helpful. The activities are all enjoyed and they try very hard to please everyone. By and large, the home is comfortable and very clean.

Very good. The service is wonderful. Every day you can have a shower so you feel nice and fresh. There's always some entertainment going on which you're encouraged to join in, also the food is excellent.

My father was in Erskine Hall for palliative care and unfortunately, passed away in January.
Whilst he was at Erskine Hall he was looked after well and the manager was very personable and friendly, all staff were helpful and he was treated very well.

Moved from hospital to this care home in November 2017 suffering from rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, anaemia and type 2 diabetes. Following an outpatient visit to the rheumatology department at the hospital, I was put on medication and this has eased the arthritic problems, enabling me to need
less support from the staff. I now am able to move around fairly freely using walking poles or my zimmer frame and eat all meals in the restaurant. I am hoping to move to a flat as my mobility increases.
