My father needed to be moved to a nursing home for dementia as his deteriorating health meant his needs were increasing and his residential care home could not cope. The carers made his move so much easier than we thought possible. The staff have been so welcoming and helpful and my mother and I feel assured that my father is getting the best possible care.

Overall Experience

Dad became a resident at Betsy Clara on the 1st August 2014 after the previous home he was at said they could no longer meet his needs. Betsy Clara is brilliant care home that has really looked after him well since he moved in. I rate the staff very highly, all work as a team and provide excellent care which is delivered with both compassion and humour. Dad can have good days and bad. The staff understand his needs, he broke a hip last year and was put on "end of life care". Betsy Clara staff did not give up on him and with good care nursed him back to health. Visiting is at anytime and the staff are always pleased to see us and keep us well informed.

The home has helped my dad settle in so well after moving out of our family home. The caring is great and I know my dad is safe and well looked after. It has been recently redecorated so looks lovely and a new manager of the home is a breath of fresh air here.

Vicki Buckingham
Vicki BuckinghamJob Title AdministratorJoined 2024

After working for many years in administration, I came to Betsy in November 2024 as maternity cover.

I am delighted to now be a permanent part of the team.

I thoroughly enjoy meeting residents’ families and interacting with residents, which I have grown very fond of.

Being an Administrator is so rewarding, and Betsy has such a lovely atmosphere.

I am proud to be part of such a supportive, caring team.

My role is very enjoyable, and I hope to continue for many years, with what I feel is now my second family.
