My mother was only meant to go in for restbite for 3 weeks while I had a holiday, she had been having TIA's which she happened to have the night before I left, making it very hard to go or not. Our mother was well looked after resting in bed, then getting into a chair then a wheelchair and leaving her
room, finally getting her strength back to use her walker and walking stick a little, the staff through there care, regular meals, creating games in the dayroom, singers coming in having her hair cut, and making some new friends. Mum became well enough to return home. We cannot fault any staff from cleaners, Catering, Nursing, Entertainment through to a welcome on reception.

I moved into Brabourne Care Centre on the 2nd February 2026. From the moment I moved in, I became alive again. I have such a lovely room, I have my own toilet and sink and can shut the door. The wardrobe and cupboards are lovely, and new curtains. It is just like a hotel. I cannot fault the carers or
staff, they are all just wonderful. The food is fabulous, there is such a lot that I can't have, but they have all sorted out my needs, which is lovely. Nothing is too much trouble for anyone here. We have either activities or well-being twice a day, everyone joins in, I can't fault the staff, cares or the home, it's all just magnificent.

My sister moved into Brabourne Care Centre last month following a stroke. We are impressed by the way in which her complex nursing care needs have been addressed by the staff and the kindly and compassionate way she is treated. We have confidence that she is being cared for by well qualified carers
who respect her dignity and ensure she is comfortable. All staff are friendly and welcoming and we are grateful for the support they are giving to our family as we cope with difficult situations and decisions.
Reply from Julie Ness, Marketing at Brabourne Care CentreThank you for entrusting your sister into our care. We are pleased to be able to care for her and support your family at this difficult time.

The Brabourne care centre is amazing. My mother was there for respite.
She went to another home and we requested she goes back to Brabourne because they are simply the best.
The staff are caring and attentive, this shows in the residents.
As a daughter I am assured that my mother is receiving the
very best care.
Everything about Brabourne is excellent, the attention from the staff, the communication. From walking through the front door to the carers on the Dementia floor.
The residents are treated with care and respect. The staff also treat the families with the same care and respect.
Sonia looks after everyone in terms of food and refreshments.
It feels so reassuring to know that mum is with people that genuinely care.

My father was a resident in this care home. He was on the dementia unit of the care home. The staff here were extremely good at looking after my father and dealing with specific needs that arose from his diagnosis. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and I was kept up to date regularly on how
my father was doing. All of the staff had a lot of time for the residents there, which was really good to see as a previous home did not seem to be as attentive towards their residents. My father spent around two years in this care home and I believe that he received the best possible care that he could have for his duration. I can only thank the staff for all of their hard work and dedication.

Today was Christmas Dinner with mum and was superb. Mum is not the greatest lover of food but ate well. My husband and I had a super meal with all the extras to make it perfect. Care home is exemplary. Carers, nursing staff and hostess team are all caring, cheerful and always encouraging. Patience and
gentleness is seen everywhere. Brabourne Care Centre is spotlessly clean and the friendly support staff seem to take a pride in their work and rightly so. Great place!

Dinner was superb, the table was laid beautifully. Mum said it's the best dinner she's ever had! Thank you for the care & compassion you give to my mum. She is happy & content.
Thank you!
P.S. thanks to the chef & carers being "waitresses!"

I have been very pleased with the care provided by the Brabourne Care Centre. All members of staff = reception, carers, managers - have, without fault, been kind and attentive and it is very reassuring to know that my mother is in safe hands.
The facilities are very good and the home is kept spotlessly
clean at all times. I also appreciate the effort the staff make to put on extra events and visitors for the residents.
My only reservation is the cost but I realise that this is beyond the homes control.
Reply from Julie Ness, Marketing at Brabourne Care CentreWe appreciate your comments and our team will be pleased to know that they provide the important peace of mind that your mother is well cared for. We continually strive to maintain our costs, whilst providing the highest quality of care for all our residents, and thank you for acknowledging that many overheads are a necessary part of this provision.

Such an amazing transformation in my father in law since his arrival at Brabourne from his previous care home. He is now cleaner, always shaved and constantly smiling which was very rare before. All of the staff are so friendly not only to the residents but visitor's too. I am never concerned about
him when I'm not there. I know he is safe which was a big issue in his previous home.

Mum was in Brabourne for just over 2 years. We found every one friendly and helpful, nothing was too much effort. All the staff spoke when you visited. When mum passed we were still welcomed and everyone offered their condolences. Mums care was excellent and she was treated with dignity. Cannot comment
on value for money as mums care was paid for by a third party.

Current Review Score: 9.9 (9.855)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.9 (9.855) out of 10 for Brabourne Care Centre is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 39 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 39 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.855 for Brabourne Care Centre is calculated as follows: ( (401 Excellents x 5) + (58 Goods x 4) + (3 Satisfactorys x 3) + (1 Poors x 2) ) ÷ 463 Ratings = 4.855
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Brabourne Care Centre is based on 39 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 82 registered maximum number of service users is 16.4, which has been reached with 39 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
