I just wanted to say a huge thank you from my family and I for taking wonderful care of my grandad George until the very end. Even in his passing yesterday, you showed true care and compassion. You even looked after us as we stayed with him in his final days. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts Harbledown Lodge

My mum recently moved in with full time, because of the progression of Vascular/Alzheimers Dementia and also because of limited mobility to her hip via Osteoarthritis. She was previously extremely independent/sociable and her moving in with us had not been particularly straightforward. Been looking for some respite care over Christmas. I was really anxious/guilty about this, since it would be her first time away from our care. Delighted to say that it worked very smoothly and she had clearly enjoyed her stay. Very thorough registration/induction process, particularly in terms of her meds as well as asking her the activities and foods that she liked. All handled by Centre Manager. Care staff I met and observed were very attentive and caring. It's really lovely building with great views. One thing that I picked up on was that carers has taken time to apply cream for dry skin which they could have easily skipped on without anyone noticing. Hoping to come again.

The level of care, dignity and respect given to my mum and us as extended family was outstanding in her final weeks. Staff and those leading the home could not have provided anymore; they went above and beyond.

I am very happy with the care my mother receives at Harbledown Lodge, and she is very happy. She tells me that all of the staff are lovely and kind to her.

I always receive a warm welcome when I arrive to visit. The home is spotlessly clean. The staff are friendly and helpful, and nothing is too much trouble. The food looks amazing, and Mum has a varied diet.

During her two weeks at Harbledown Lodge, my mother was treated with kindness and respect, and her clear wishes were meticulously adhered to. She was comfortable and, as far as possible, pain-free during her last days. The staff were accessible and informative, and, above all, considerate.

I have found the care home to be very clean and always warm. The security of the building is good, and the staff are always friendly and helpful.

The food is always very goo,d and my mum seems most of the time very happy. I would like to see my mum out of bed more and encouraged to do some activities when they are available, also, I know there are staffing issues. It would be nice as well if there was a tea room for visitors to use, as some people travel hours to get there, and this would save the nurses time.

I visited my friend of 25 years, who now has dementia and was staying for 2 weeks respite care. Favourably impressed by the staff who seemed very calm, kind and friendly. I was there for 2 visits of 1 hour each. My friend was in the lounge with 5 or 6 other users. At no time were they left unattended. Staff interactions with users were always pleasant, with smiles and the use of clear language. - Kind and straightforward.

Room not seen, only lounge. Overall security good.

My best friend unfortunately now has to be cared for in a care home and I have now been visiting him every week for the past few months. It is so nice to see him being well cared for and on my visits I find the staff so caring having lots of time for the residents. The home is clean and the quality of the food looks very good with my friend saying how much he enjoys it. Whenever I visit I am welcomed warmly in a very friendly way and my friend seems to be so happy there and enjoys his interaction with the staff.

Mum spent four happy years at Harbledown Lodge. The care and support she received was from a loving, dedicated staff, and my family and I will be forever grateful for this, sadly, right up to the day she passed away.

My mother in law was a resident at Harbledown Lodge for four years. During her stay there, she was treated with the utmost kindness and dignity. As we live outside of the area, our visits were perhaps 3 or 4 times a year, and we were always welcomed and respected.

During her final days of life, she was made comfortable and assured regularly. The family were supported and felt respected at all times. She always felt loved and safe. We are most grateful to everyone who was involved in her care.

I am a registered nurse and manager, having joined this company in March 2008. My career started as a senior care assistant, and from there, I built up my career. I have completed my management course and also done the exams to achieve my NMC pin as a registered nurse in the UK. My personal experience in caring helped me to care for others, understand their needs and provide support, and make personal connections with families, which makes a positive impact to improve the care. My managerial experience helped me to take on challenges and get opportunities to learn and grow.
