I have been very impressed with the home, especially the staff and the facilities in the room. The staff have been very attentive & professional. Not only did they look after the people, but they also ensured visitors were looked after. Very happy with the home and its staff!

A particular member of staff and his team are an absolute pleasure to deal with , staff are so friendly nothing is too much trouble for them . The care they have shown to my mum during her time here is without doubt truly amazing . They have made my time here visiting my mum so comforting the staff

Mum has been in an assessment bed since November 25th. Her room has always been clean + fresh -she appears well cared for. Staff are always friendly and polite to both mum and myself. The home keeps me informed of any changes in mums health and what she has done (or not done) as the dementia stops her
telling me herself so its important to me to be kept in the loop.

Our experience has been one of relief, reassurance and happiness that our loved one is being so well cared for both in a physical and emotionally caring manner. Her room is ideal offering her lovely views from her windows, which is very important to her.
The warmth and genuinely caring nature of all
the staff is exemplary, she is enjoying the freshly cooked meals and on occasion when she has requested something, it has been provided with a smile and no fuss. She's engaging in the activities and consequently, other residents which is lovely to see. She is very happy here which is a blessing to us all who love her. Thank you.

They take good care of their patients and make sure they are fed. They also send their patients to hospital if necessary. Anytime something is going on with patients, they take the time out to phone up their loved ones.

My husband had been in Harbledown Lodge Nursing Home for 8 years. He suffered from dementia. The care he received during that time was exemplary. Sadly, he passed away in June 2024. Although he was non verbal and unable to move unaided, the staff were wonderful, always making sure he was comfortable,
chatting to him and involving him in activities as much as possible. I was always made very welcome when I visited, Harbledown Lodge became my second home and family while my husband was looked after, and I am very grateful for the care he received.

My auntie was a resident here for end of life care and I can not thank the staff enough for their care and kindness she received up until the end and for the compassion shown to relatives after her passing from all members of staff they had contact with. Thank you again for truly caring.

I was runner-up for the Kent Nurse Award in 2017, mainly for making a change in people's lives by enabling them to recover and regain their strength for those who were admitted to assessment beds. In between, I nurtured my clinical experience in stroke care and trained on critically ill patients while working at the stroke units at Kent and Canterbury hospitals.
