Harbledown Lodge Nursing Home

We are very happy with how Mum has settled into Harbledown Lodge Nursing Home. the staff have taken the time to understand what she likes to eat and drink and how to assist her in feeding, They have also ensured she gets out of bed each day and treat her with dignity when she is moved. The room is also very bright and clean with good views of the countryside. Overall, we are very grateful with how smoothly the transition has gone.

My mum was well cared for and safe at Harbledown Lodge. The staff were very friendly, and the management team worked well together. My mum was at Harbledown for five years, and during this time, I had no concerns about the care she received. During the last week of my mum's life, we were able to visit and stay as long as we wanted, and arrangements were even made for me to stay overnight. During this time, the staff continued to treat my mum with dignity and kindness. The management team were on hand to help us through this difficult time, and it was clear to see how much they cared for all their residents. We are extremely grateful to everyone who works at Harbledown Lodge for the way they cared for my mum, but also to us as a family during the final days of mum's life.

The staff are friendly and helpful. They are taking good care of our dad. We are grateful for everything they are doing for him.

Our mum was fast-tracked from hospital to Harbledown Lodge on 25 October for end of life care and sadly passed away on 30 October. The care she received was exceptional. The staff were amazing. Everything possible was done to ensure she was comfortable. It was the perfect place for her to spend her last days. The kindness shown to us by those associated with her final hours was comforting. I have no hesitation in recommending Harbledown to anyone in the same predicament. This is a truly wonderful place and our heartfelt thanks go to all those who cared for our mother during her final days and hours.

Nothing is too much trouble for the staff, they are friendly and always willing to help.

Good home and good care.

The staff are very caring and pleasant. The patient care is very good indeed. It is a difficult time for my wife, but she is comfortable in the care here.

The treatment of my husband has been excellent. It had been predicted that he was very close to the end of his life but since being cared for here, he has had a new lease of life. He is fed and watered well and kept very clean and comfortable.

The staff are really welcoming and friendly. The home has a lovely atmosphere. The food is very good, well presented and pureed to suit his needs. Always offered tea and biscuits. The nursing home is always clean and my friend always looks clean and well looked after. My friend is very happy here.

We have had a lot of help and care from the whole team and management.

I'm well impressed with the contact from the home on my Aunts health and well-being, well informed on what's going on each month with the news letter. Well done to all the staff and Thank you.

My mum was a resident for 3 years. In the beginning, it was difficult but a change of management and the care she received was second to none. The staff were all very caring and treated her like they would their own mum. She had her nails done every fortnight and loved this, she called the lady her friend, that is how kind she was to mum. There was a member of staff who called mum, mum and she was so very kind and mum loved her the same. Towards the end, it was hard for mum but the staff showed such kindness and compassion to mum and to us her family. She was treated with dignity love and kindness. I miss visiting the home as they all became our family and more importantly mum's. They all, including the maintenance, kitchen, office, well just everyone who works there, deserve medals. Thank you for the care and love you gave mum.

My husband had to be admitted to a care home as an emergency as I, his wife, suddenly had a medical emergency myself. Everyone in Harbledown Lodge was extremely helpful in my difficult situation. And my husband was happy there! The staff were friendly, kind and professional. The nurse was attentive to my husband's diabetic problem and sorted out his medication efficiently. The care home smelled clean and seemed well run. A very good experience for both of us.

We, her family, have no concerns about Mum's care. We are very happy with the staff and carers.

My mother is in Harbledown Lodge she receives very good palliative care. The staff are always cheerful, friendly, it is a very nice environment.

Harbledown Lodge staff and management have gone above and beyond to ensure my mum is in a safe and caring environment and that she receives the care she needs. I live abroad and knowing mum is in the best place for her has made it easier for me, as well as knowing she is safe and cared for going forward. We have been here 2 days and so far I can't fault them.
