Maidstone Care Centre is spacious and bright, with easy access and a modern appearance. My mum spent ten days here, after several weeks in hospital. It was a relief to settle her into the home, with its peaceful and calm atmosphere. Her room was bright and airy, with modern furniture and a bed that,
whilst functional, did not have the appearance of a hospital bed. The window overlooked the trees and we could hear birdsong in the mornings.


The strength of the centre was its staff. All were caring and kind, respectful towards Mum and to us; they spoke gently and were mindful of our feelings. The advance care plan was set in place and activated as required. The registered nurse and the manager offered support and kindness through a very difficult time, and I cannot thank them enough for helping us during the final days.


After the noisy and harsh environment of the hospital, this was exactly the setting we wanted for Mum. I would not hesitate to recommend this care centre.

My mother spent a couple of months at the home. I couldn't fault the staff for their caring attitude and witnessed regular toileting, iced lollies and watermelon in the heat and regular drinks being offered at all times. There did appear to be a lack of stimulation as the majority of residents couldn't
communicate easily. The food was ok, but the 5 pm supper of soup, sandwiches (plus sometimes jacket potato) and dessert seemed too much, especially as the afternoon cup of tea had biscuits/homemade cake served. A hairdresser attends most weeks, but there wasn't a 'plan B' if they didn't attend and hair was left unwashed for a long time. Even when requested for hair to be washed it was several days later following a second reminder when this occurred. The laundry was hit and miss and we left with some items missing, even some labelled with her name, and returned items which weren't hers. The one thing the home needs to resolve is the unpleasant odour which greets you on each floor.

The care and attention my mother has been given over an extended period of time is faultless and in addition, my elderly father who visits daily is also given support.

Excellent care home. Staff are brilliant, I needed somewhere for my mum to live that was clean and very well run, this care home meets and exceeds all my requirements for my mother. I consider my mother and myself to be very lucky to have found this care home and would recommend to anyone this is the
standard all care homes should aim for. The manager I also found to be very caring in her duties, very sympathetic in my mother's needs and mine. To anyone looking for a care home, I would put this one at the top of your list and set it as a benchmark.

Staff are very friendly and helpful.


I feel my nan is very well looked after, the food menu is brilliant, a very well balanced diet.


Every time my family and I come in to visit we get welcomed.


They don’t have a time limit or visit times which is very helpful as we all work different hours.

My dad went into Maidstone Care Centre three years ago. At that time dad was quite poorly, I cannot believe the change in him. He is happy and the staff say he is always smiling. I cannot thank the staff enough for the care they have given my dad.

In all the visits, I have observed very friendly and helpful staff and contented residents. My most recent visit was in April for my grandfather's birthday and I was very impressed with how the staff celebrated and shared his special day with not only our family but also the other residents making us
feel very welcome. On this particular occasion, you successfully put a sparkle back in my granddad's eyes, which shows he's happy and I believe being well cared for.

I am living at Maidstone Care Centre for about 16 months. I have never felt happier. I love to take part in some activities. Recently I've participated in a photo shoot. It made me feel like a star. I love the staff, they are all very friendly and very efficient.

The quality of care my mother receives is outstanding. My mother is extremely comfortable and the dedication the staff show is second to none.

My Nan has been in multiple homes and has been bruised and deteriorated pretty quickly. Nan went into this home a year ago while on her 'final stage' of dementia. She is now singing and eating again! Everyone is so polite, calm. professional and helpful. I truly don't believe my Nanny would be here
if it wasn't for that fantastic team!

I have been living at Maidstone care centre for few months and I love it. The staff is brilliant. I am still a very active person. I am still able to go out into the town and buy my stuff, the activities coordinator is always available to go with me... I could not say better about this place. Is definitely
the right place for people like me to enjoy their life, being active and at the same time having the support of qualified staff ( very kind staff I should say).

Our aunt recently moved into Maidstone Care Centre. It has been rather traumatic for her and us, however, the staff at the home have been brilliant! They have supported both my aunt and us adjust to the change. She is now settling well and we cannot praise the care she is receiving highly enough.
