All the staff have been incredibly helpful their cheerfulness has been a pleasure to be around for myself and my mother. All the staff have made the transition from hospital to this care home look seamless I'm very grateful to them for their obvious care and attention to detail. Please do not send anyone you love to this care home. A family member was discharged from hospital to Beaumont house. After around 2 weeks of him being there they doubled his dosage of a mild sedative drug which was used to regulate his emotions which then turnt him into a zombie. They would not decrease it back down, the managers are awful, an ambulance was called and the manager came and asked the paramedics to move their van in the middle of tending to my family member and they love to spin a false narrative. He had 3 falls in 1 week due to negligence when giving medications they can not administer medications safely and was giving all different doses each day. They do not know how to care for people, let alone people with dementia / cognitive impairments. I wouldn't allow my pet hamster to stay here. It is dirty, it constantly smells, it's unsafe and an inhumane place to send someone. It needs shutting down.

Reply from Marlon Soriano, Priory Mews Care Home Manager at Priory Mews Care Home

While we cannot comment on individual circumstances due to confidentiality, we would like to clarify that all medication is prescribed by the resident's GP or appropriate clinician. Our role is to administer it exactly as prescribed. Throughout your loved one's stay, we worked closely with...

Overall Experience

My first impression was a huge screen in the living room blaring out loud music which immediately felt like sensory overload. The staff seemed friendly but very little or no interaction with residents including the person in charge of activities who was busy doing other things. A resident sat with her head leaning to the side with no support, even when a drink was put in front of her she was not put in a more comfortable position. The fish tank was so green the fish were hardly visible. Residence are confined to the living area, with a tiny patio and are not taken out for walks or outings. The individual needs of residence are not taken into consideration or catered for contrary to what they claim. The breakfast menu is full of unhealthy processed food everyday and crisps as snacks.

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry your impression of our home was not a positive one.

We take all comments seriously; however, we cannot identify you in our records as a resident's next of kin, family member, or friend, and as no concerns were raised during the visit, we had no...

I would just like to say thank you so much for looking after my Mum. You brought out her fun side her cheeky smile and humour and her acting skills. She was so well looked after. She loved going into the lounge and being nosey. She loved the activities. You truly made her happy and content. She loved the food and she was so much better when you sorted out her medication.

From the bottom of my heart. Thank you to everyone at Cressnor House. You are all amazing. Special thanks to Gisha, Claudia, Retail,Ibby, Geethu,Lisna, Rajwinda,Joanne, Marlon , and Lisa. Sorry if I've missed anyone out.

This will be the third time Mum has stayed for respite. I only have good things to say about this care home. Nurses excellent, carers excellent, reception excellent. Every person I have encountered has been happy, smiling and keen to help. What more can you want, Priory Mews has only employed caring people. Well done. Sad that Mum is leaving you.

My late stepfather came into Cressenor House for end-of-life care. He was only with you just short of a week but the team there provided him with exceptional care for the time he was there and the same level of care to myself and Roy's other family and friend that visited during his short time there.

The nursing team called me promptly when his situation changed which enabled me to be with him when he passed. Their care and compassion helped at an incredibly tough time. Thank you.

The experience we had at priory mews was actually beyond awful and I truly hope that people look into this care home before letting their loved ones be put into their care. If I could rate it zero stars I really would.
My grandmother was left in the most awful of states more times than we could possibly count. Not washed properly, teeth not brushed, hair not brushed or washed, wearing other people's clothes or no clothes!!! Left to sit in her own urine for hours!! The care home absolutely stinks of urine and faeces as soon as you walk in which is disgusting and so embarrassing when you have family and friends visiting. Her illnesses weren't taken seriously or even noticed by the staff. And she couldn't call for staff as her call button was always hooked up away from her.

However I will say the staff working in this part of the home were lovely people but they are overworked for the amount of people they have to look after and there is a huge lack of basic care for residents.

My mum, Maria, was shown, respect and a huge amount of care and compassion by all the staff in Cressenor House. Priory Mews Care Home only had my Mother for two weeks. But my sister and I were so pleased to have her there. All she wanted was somewhere quiet and comfortable to say goodbye to her loving family and to end her days, she was after all 102. Priory Mews provided her with the peace, quiet and comfort she was hoping for and much much more. The staff were very understanding of, not only her needs but also the needs of us, her family. They gave my Mother all the care and attention she needed, they were kind, considerate and compassionate and allowed my Mother to say goodbye to the world in the way that she wanted, which was a marked difference to the treatment she had received in hospital for the previous five weeks.

My sister and I would like to use this opportunity to give our thanks to the staff and management of Priory Mews for their compassion and professionalism in caring for my Mother in her final days.

All the staff at Priory Mews care home, are very friendly. They look after my mum really well, and as far as I can see, mum looks healthy and happy.

I must also mention all the staff at Priory Mews Care Home who work very hard while looking after the residents. It was my mum's 90th recently, and all the staff came and wished my mum a happy birthday. They had provided a cake, and Mum received a nice birthday card.

Staff very helpful & caring. There is always some activity going on. There is a good community spirit. Place is kept nice & clean, and the meals seem to be nice.

The buildings are all on one level, which makes things easier for wheelchair users. It means we can take mum out into the garden area easily. Mum is happy here.

Very happy with the care my mum receives. She is well looked after, the staff know her well and treat (and great) her very kindly. Her bedroom is always clean and tidy, as are the communal areas. When in the communal areas, there is always plenty going on and plenty of staff around to help. I have no complaints about the care or the staff and accommodation.
