We cannot thank the staff enough for the wonderful support and care they provide for our mum and to us as well.
The house Manager always makes time to speak to us and keeps us updated with all the activities and our mums health issues.
Mums room is in Berkley but they have opened the unit to provide
more space with Mountenay House,
At first we were apprehensive probably because we don't like change but it certainly has been for the best.
No it's not a lovely brand new modern Carehome, but they certainly are making the most of what they've got.
Once again thank you everyone you are all amazing
Kind regards XX

My mum was only at Heatherdale for a few days but it was the most difficult time for her and us as a family. The manager and her staff were excellent, from viewing the home, to caring for my mum to their support and compassion shown to us. We could not have found better. Ir was a huge relief knowing
my mum was safe and cared for in the last few days of her life. The manager at Heatherdale is outstanding.

All staff are caring, kind and treat all of the residents with the utmost respect and dignity. Since the manager and another staff member have been in charge of the home there have been many improvements including increased retention of staff and therefore less reliance on agency staff. This means that
residents are able to get to know those who care for them and get used to seeing familiar faces each day.

I am so grateful that our dear Mum was placed in Hawthorne Manor when we could no longer care for her at home. All my fears of 'putting your Mum in a home' disappeared within a few weeks and my positive feelings about Hawthorn have remained 2 years later, and if anything, have increased since the new
manager/deputy came into post in recent months. The staff are dedicated, caring, warm and efficient. I so appreciate the focus on relationships - every resident in this small care home is a valued individual - that is clear. I love the way they are with my Mum. I love the way they that include the family in all aspects of care. I love the creativity and energy of the activities team. Well done and THANKYOU to everyone at Hawthorne.

My mum sadly passed away last week at Heatherdale. She didn't want to go into a nursing home, but she soon settled in due to the care and support from all staff. Heatherdale is a very welcoming place and is kept clean and fresh to a very high standard. Communication is good, and management and the nurses
were always available if I had any concerns. There were activities most days, in the lounge, lots of parties and singers which everyone enjoyed. At the end, mum was treated with great care and dignity, and I take great comfort that I was with her when she passed peacefully. All the kindness and support by everyone will be forever in my heart.

My friend was admitted to Cressenor following a very difficult stay in hospital with his deteriorating dementia. He arrived filthy, unkempt and had not even been dressed for days. Within hours he was clean and comfortable in a lovely room with a window he could see out of from his bed.

There was

always staff around when you needed them, they listened to my advice on my friend's likes and dislikes and genuinely seemed to care about his welfare.

There seemed to be a big push to get all patients in to meals and for them to socialise together which gave a friendly atmosphere.

Mum moved in 2 months ago and we are so pleased with the care and facilities at Hawthorn Manor. Mum is happy, joining in with lots of activities - of which there are many - she feels safe and secure, she is well fed and thriving. She very quickly referred to her room as 'home', she loves the care staff
and her routine, likes and dislikes are catered for.
I visit on almost a daily basis, the staff are friendly, hard working and caring. The managers are always friendly, available and approachable, and receptive to any suggestions for residents wellbeing. We couldn't be happier with having Mum taken care of at Hawthorne Manor and feel very blessed to have found such a warm and welcoming home.

I can't fault Prioy Mews Cressenor House. My dad has been in here since the Dec 2024. The house is clean with wonderful caring staff. I never wanted him to go into a care home but I couldn't manager his falls and dementia, I had no choice. I know my dad is clean, safe and happy. The nursing team always
keep me informed of any changes in a caring way. The care team on the ground doing the actual care are so compassionate I have no problem recommending this home. The office staff and management are very helpful and friendly.

My mum has just passed peacefully away after 4 weeks in the Heathfield after leaving hospital. The care home staff and manager were unfailingly loving and caring towards mum, going out of their way to make sure she felt safe and loved. Her room (and the whole place) had a light, bright and calm atmosphere
and I particularly enjoyed the feeling of competence and efficiency; it made me feel confident my mum was being cared for in the best possible way. Staff helped mum to pass in a dignified and calm way with her family having access at all times. This is really a care "home from home" I am just saddened mum didn't have longer to spend in this lovely family atmosphere. Thank you to all at Heathfield.
