My uncle will soon be moving to a care home closer to me due to personal circumstances, as visiting currently involves an 80-mile round trip. Although the move is necessary, I am certain that the standard of care and communication we have received at Green Gates will be extremely hard to match.

Since my uncle has been a resident at Green Gates Care Home his health and wellbeing have improved massively. In a way that I didn't think was possible. The staff are very good at helping with any issues that he has had and very accomidating to his learning disabilities. I can't thank the staff enough.

My father moved to Green Gates a month ago. We have been very happy with the level of care. The staff are friendly and caring. The administration if efficient. My father has a lovely light room overlooking the garden. He always looks clean and tidy and well dressed. He is encouraged to eat lunch in the dining room which is a good thing and he seems very content at Green Gates. It is reassuring for the family to know that he is being well looked after.

Staff are enthusiastic and a mainly happy bunch however they (some) do need training. 1) Providing food with all extras (sugar milk etc) 2) Presurvation of privacy. Some walk into rooms without requesting to request entry. Food is erratic. Meals are not always what was ordered or requested.

So happy with care and thoughtfulness around situation Keith and myself have found ourselves in. The genuine care of a minimal number of some care staff can be hit and miss, but any issues raised are addressed effectively and quickly. A brilliant professional and additionally friendly atmosphere.

All the care home staff are very friendly and encouraging. As an 'old bird' of 88 and having looked after elderly parents in law and my mother (who lived until 101 1/2!) and having prayed for a lot of troubled people with severe childhood problems and a lack of love, it is now a great privilege to be so kindly treated, even if I feel about 2 or 5 years old!! So thank you for all the wonderful care I receive.

My sister spent over 2 years at Green Gates, until she died earlier this month. During this time the care she received was exemplary. Although we could not visit fequenty because of distance we knew that she was in good hands. Despite lack of mobility she was able to enjoy luncing with other residents and take part in the activities which were arranged, being able to have lunch with her on our visits was a particular pleasure.

I was impressed from my first visit to Green Gates Care Home with the friendliness of the staff. I found Green Gates warm, comfortable and homely. The care my resident is recieving seems to be very good and the staff are very kind and caring.

We are very happy with the care provided at Greengates Care home for our elderly friend. We visit him twice a week and are pleased that he is getting the care he needs just now. He has a lovely bright room, excellent bed and easy access to bathroom. The staff are cheerfull, polite and respectful. I like the fact that he is kept mobile and encouraged to come down stairs for his main meal each day.

My sister has been living at Green Gates for two years. She took time to adjust to the change but is content and very settled there. The staff are kind, helpful and take good care of the residents. I do not live near but I can always have lunch with my sister when I visit. There are stimulating activities and visits from students at a nearby school. I am reassured by the level of care she receives there and the general atmosphere.

The home is a very pleasant place to sit after you have had a meal. There are two lounges to choose from. My husband was taken ill recently by the paramedics and ambulance people were very kind and came very quickly. The nurse here and the care staff helped them to make sure he was comfortable until they took him to hospital.

My husband has been in Green Gates for one month. We find the staff very caring , considerate and extremely friendly. Nothing seems too much trouble for them. I think the idea of being able to visit my husband anytime and at my convenience is marvelous.

I am the home manager at Green Gates. I worked in the NHS for some years after qualifying as a nurse. My speciality was orthopaedics. When I had my first child I decided to leave the NHS and move into the care sector. I have now been a manager for approximately 10 years.
What I love most about my job is the variety - every day is different.
Outside of work, I live in Bicester with my husband and two children who are 7 and 12 years old. I enjoy reading and travelling.
I joined Bupa in 2018, initially as a carer. I completed my NVQ3 and became a senior carer before moving to the financial administrator role around 18 months ago. My job involves managing the financial accounts of all residents and keeping the system up to date. It also involves ordering, payments, managing petty cash and completing financial reports.
Before joining Bupa, I worked in retail management and various HR positions for about 16 years. Following my nan getting dementia - which progressed very quickly - and spending a lot of time with her, I thought a career in care might be something I could be good at. When I turned 40, I bit the bullet and applied at Green Gates.
I love being able to help people - whether it be residents, staff or visitors. If I can do something that makes their life a little easier or puts a smile on their face, I can go home happy.
I am a confident, hard-working woman and pride myself on doing a good job. I have RA which I manage well and do not let hold me back. I have a partner called Dave and one son who is nearly 25. Outside of work, I like music, books and a good horror film!
I qualified as a nurse in 1998 after completing a diploma in general nursing and midwifery in India. I worked in a hospital in India until 2002 before moving to the UK. I have worked for Bupa since April 2005.
I love my job - every day is different at Green Gates and I enjoy building relationships with our residents and their families.
I have two children and live with my family in Oxford. Outside of work, I love keeping active - going to the gym and for walks. I also like going to India to see my family and friends at least once every year.
