My father lived at Green Pastures for 2 years in which time he was given excellent care in every way. All the staff were kind, attentive and caring and the standard of care was exemplary. My father enjoyed various activities in the home - cooking, gardening, social groups. He was extremely content and comfortable. We cannot thank the home enough for their care - as well as kindness to family when we visited. An excellent home I would highly recommend.

My husband became a Green Pastures resident in August 2021 and he remained there for three and a half years. Having visited so much during this time it had become my second home, and I was made so welcome such that I volunteered and have been visiting regularly these last months. When I needed to have an operation, I decided that I would become a resident for a period to recover and I stayed in Green Pastures for 8 nights. I had the benefit of knowing a lot of staff and some residents, and was really looked after. Everyone is so caring and patient, whilst doing a very difficult job (particularly with those suffering from dementia). You are all wonderful, and I thank you so much.
Thank you for your wonderful review! We are grateful for your kind words, your smile and the ongoing encouragement given to all of us truly brighten our days.
Mum is always well cared for and any queries I have are answered promptly and fully. All staff take a genuine interest in mum and are friendly and supportive. I gave every confidence that this high standard of care will continue in the future.
Thank you for your kind review! We truly appreciate your trust in us and are committed to providing excellent care for your mum. Your feedback is invaluable, and we will continue to strive for the highest standards.
When visiting we always get a very warm welcoming + offers of tea or coffee. If help is needed it is seen to quickly. It is obviously a Christian home. The staff are cheerful and willing to help. They show a great deal of patience with especially slow and grumpy patients. Very good patient staff ratio. Perhaps more stewed fruit or fruit salad would help patients well being.
Thank you so much for your kind words and thoughtful feedback! We are truly grateful for your recognition of our warm welcoming atmosphere and the dedicated staff who strive to ensure every patient feels valued and cared for. Your suggestion about including more stewed fruit or fruit salad is...
The staff - all of them - show true compassion, not only with Dad, but my Mother and my siblings. They have got to know us so quickly and they seem to understand the difficult time we have had with Dad needing to move into a care home setting.
Even the Chairman of the charity knows my Dad by name on 'bumping' into him in the reception area - no clues by the name and photo placed outside his bedroom - he was 2 floors away.
My Father moved here in August 2025 having spent 2 weeks in the only care home in the country with 5* in all domains in their last two assessments however, here surpasses there for so many reasons and here is where my Dad would rather be.
The staffing levels are amazing.
I cannot praise the place enough - this is what all care homes should be like and then there would be so much less resistance from the elderly to go into one when that is really what they need.
Thank you for your heartfelt review! We are so glad to hear that your father has received compassionate and attentive care since his arrival. It's wonderful to know that our staff have made a positive impact not only on him but also on your family during this challenging time. Your kind words...
I am always made to feel part of the community rather that someone visiting a resident. There is always somebody to talk too whether it be concerning the welfare of the resident or how I am coping with the current situation.
All the staff know the residents by name and engage with them even if that is not their specific role. I would expect that from the care staff but it extends to all other members of staff who keep the nursing home running smoothly. There is an attitude that even the little things matter. An example is are the dining tables laid correctly, will the Christmas menu be and taste good. Everything in the home matters and must be right.
I cannot praise enough the way everybody is treated which makes for a happy, safe environment and even when dealing with challenging situation there are smiles and calmness.
Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We are truly grateful for your kind words and appreciate your recognition of our team's efforts. Creating a warm and welcoming environment for both residents and their families is our top priority, and it's heartwarming to hear that you feel like part of...
My aunt's care is exceptional, I could not have picked a better nursing home. All her needs are attended to in a professional way. Every single member of staff is polite and friendly and always willing to spend a few minutes to answer any questions I may have.
Thank you so much for your feedback! We are happy to hear that your Aunt is receiving exceptional care. Our staff strive to create a friendly and professional environment, and your recognition of their efforts means a lot to us.
Mum heaped praise upon the whole team, particularly the care staff, complimenting them their attitude describing them as loving.
Thank you so much for your kind words. We're truly grateful for your positive feedback and are delighted to hear that your mother received compassionate care and support during her stay. It's wonderful to know our team made a meaningful difference.
My mother has been at Green Pastures for over 18 months now and has blossomed in mental and physical health ever since arrival. A transformation. She is happy and without worries; happy to tell me that; and surrounded by professional, caring and smiling staff and friends.
It's been lovely to see your mum thriving here with us-taking part in activities and truly enjoying herself. Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review; it's greatly appreciated.
My mum has been a resident at Green Pastures for just over 2 years. She has been looked after extremely well and it is obvious that the staff care and keep me informed at all times of her health and any additional needs she has. I visit her several times weekly and whilst her memory is such that she doesn't have recollection of my visit after I have left the staff always re-assure her that I have been and that I care! There are lots of activities and trips arranged by the activities team and I often see the photos/videos which were taken, it is clear that mum was enjoying herself. I thanks everyone at Green Pastures for what they do!
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. It's lovely to see her smile when she's on trips and when she joins in the activities. It's great to know that she's enjoying the social activities we provide. Your recognition of the staff's efforts means a lot to us; I will make sure this is passed on to them.
