Isis Care and Retirement Centre is registered for eighty residents and offers a team of skilled and friendly carers, able to provide residential, early-stage dementia, respite and intermediate care.

Your fees cover several areas while in their care.
These services are: Personal care, accommodation,
utilities, use of communal areas, meals, drinks and
snacks, laundry (excluding dry cleaning),
housekeeping, maintenance and activities run by the
home.


Services NOT included in price are: dentistry, chiropody,
physiotherapy, occupational therapy, opticians, hairdressing,
medications, toiletries, clothing, newspapers/magazines.
During your stay, you may need to purchase additional goods
and services. If they are able to provide such goods and
services, they will tell you how much these goods and services
will cost and they expect that you will pay for these goods and
services at the time you request them.
They can accompany loved ones to private appointments,
however the fee attached to this is £21 per hour. Where private taxi
services are used for transportation to appointments the cost should
be paid for by yourself.

As I walked through the door I knew immediately that the Isis Care Home was where I wanted my Dad to live. We arrived without an appointment, they showed us around straight away. The carers treated my dad with loving care and attention, with dignity and compassion. Honeysuckle ward was extremely clean,
excellent food. The nurses are fantastic making sure he was comfortable unitl the very end, allowing me to sleep next to him for his last two nights, providing me with a reclining chair and anything I wished. Above and beyond. I will never forget them.

After my husbands stroke, I could no longer look after him at home. The Isis Care home provided my husband with the best care other than myself could have provided. I became very close to the carers. The work they do is incredible. They showed my husband respect and compassion, never losing his dignity.
The Honey Suckle ward is extremely clean and friendly. Individual carers and nurses going to exceptional lengths. A wonderful group of people.

My stay was for five days. I received a warm, smiling welcome at reception. My room was totally adequate, with an ensuite that served my needs. I arrived at Isis from hospital and had absolutely no toiletries whatsoever. They found some for me. The staff were caring and called you by your first name.
The food was great at all times. However, the staff worked hard and I felt there should have been more of them. Thank you all for the support for my stay.

The care in this unit is exceptional, sometimes in difficult circumstances when patients are confused. All staff are caring and helpful and knowledgeable, which I found useful and very necessary. The unit is special in that it allows both relative and patient to not feel rushed into going home and this
is a huge plus. Thank you to you all!

My Mother was in Camillia, following a fall, which broke her hip, to learn to walk again. I cannot praise the lovely people who work here enough - so caring and thoughtful. Isis itself is light and airy, spotlessly clean. Good meals with a variety of choice and many activities for people ot join in.
Thank you very much to everyone who help my mother in her recovery.

Overall a good experience, but staff could have been more understanding that it was the pain that made me reluctant and not me being awkward. It would have been good to have a vegetarian option on the menu.

My father was in the Isis from 14th April to 29th May 2019. His stay was very successful and he improved greatly due to the magnificent staff. The food was very good and he ate the lot, something he wasn't doing at home. He did not want to leave. Since he has been home with carers 3 x day he has deteriorated.
He needs to be back there urgently which I have told his 'hart' team. Lets hope!

My husband has been in Isis for four weeks. Isis is like a hotel the food is brilliant and the home is easy to get to. The staff are lovely and very good. All my husband's needs are met and I have peace of mind.

I did not use the facility to its full capacity. As I have a stoma and urine problem the toilet etc were very good. It was all very clean and nursing staff are very caring. The rooms are sufficient for old age and the heating is sufficient and very comfortable. I didn't find out about the diabetic clinic
for feet until too late (need looking at regularly). I thought I knew Oxford but I did not know about this place until I stepped inside. Need more places like it.

My mother - in her 80's - was discharged from hospital to Isis House (Camellia Ward). The staff, from the nurses and carers to reception staff (even the chef, who kindly let me in one day) could not be kinder or more welcoming to the resident/patient and their families. My mum has been treated as an
individual from the word go - despite her initial confusion - with kindness and respect, and the hands-on caring and nursing has been wonderful. A truly marvellous team, to whom we are all very grateful - we can't recommend them enough!

The care at the Isis has been absolutely fantastic.
My mother has been so happy during her stay. All staff have been wonderful, so caring, compassionate and have treated my mother with 100% dignity.
The food has been excellent and has definitely contributed to my mother's recovery. The cleanliness
is 100% too around all of the home. I cannot recommend this home enough. It is a fabulous place with fabulous staff. We are 100% happy with everything.

Kelly-Marie

Kelly-Marie Allen

Job Title: Home Manager Joined: 2014

Kelly-Marie has been the Home Manager at Isis House since July 2025; previously, she was Home Manager at Longlands. She has over 15 years of experience in the care industry. She joined the Trust in 2014, having previously worked as a Care Coordinator in domiciliary care. Kelly-Marie has a QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care, and she is also a moving and handling trainer. Kelly-Marie completed her Level 5 in Leadership and Management in 2022 and is working towards her Level 7.


Kelly says, “I love my job, and love how no two days are ever the same. I am very proud of my team at Isis House; the residents are at the heart of everything we do in the home.”


In Kelly-Marie’s spare time, she spends with her three children and family. She also enjoys reading.

Hannah

Hannah Hussain

Job Title: Admin Assistant Joined: 2016

Hannah joined OSJCT in 2016 as a carer at Isis House Care Home, which gave her valuable insight into the care sector and confirmed her passion for a career in care. In 2018, she transitioned to an administrative assistant role, which she has now enjoyed for six years. She finds it fulfilling, as the role is always dynamic and offers opportunities for growth and development within the care sector.


Outside of work, Hannah enjoys spending time with family and friends. She is also a professional makeup artist and loves helping others by doing their makeup.

Rachel Smith

Job Title: Activities Coordinator Joined: 2020

Rachel Smith, who joined the Trust in 2020, is an Activities Coordinator at Isis House. She had previously worked as an Estate Agent and wanted a change in career. Rachel loves bringing a smile to residents’ faces on a daily basis. Rachel feels her job is rewarding and challenging and goes home feeling she has made a difference to people’s lives. She said, “I love my job and I’m looking forward to spending many more years making a difference.”

Sirlene

Sirlene Heenan

Job Title: Admin Assistant Joined: 2005

Sirlene began her career in the care sector as a carer at Glebe House in 2005 before transferring to Isis House in 2006. Over the years, she has developed a deep passion for providing the best possible care for the elderly, which aligns with OSJCT’s ethos. She has learned a great deal from the wisdom of the elderly and feels fortunate to have met many wonderful residents, as well as to have worked alongside dedicated and passionate colleagues.


In 2015, Sirlene became an administration assistant at Isis House, a role she enjoys for the regular contact it provides with residents and their families. Originally from Brazil with a professional background in banking, she moved to the UK in 2003 with her English husband.


Outside of work, Sirlene enjoys traveling, reading, walking in nature, and tending to her plants.

Karishma (Kase)

Karishma (Kase) Chauhan

Job Title: Activity Coordinator Joined: 2025

Kase joined the Trust in April 2025 as an Activity Coordinator at Isis House. She graduated from the University of Bolton in 2020 with a First-Class BA (Hons) in Fine Art. Kase brings her creativity and passion for art to her role, using her skills to develop engaging arts and crafts activities for residents.


She has launched a weekly Community Arts and Crafts Club, held every Monday afternoon from 2:15 pm to 3:15 pm, creating a vibrant space for expression and connection. Kase also holds a qualification in Digital Marketing and has previously worked with The Paint Club, where she discovered her love for teaching others to paint.


Her inspiration to work with older adults comes from personal experience—she shared a love of painting with her grandmother, who lived with vascular dementia and Alzheimer’s. This deepened her understanding of the therapeutic power of art.


Outside of work, Kase runs her own art business, creating and selling original paintings and prints. Art is at the heart of everything she does, and she’s excited to share her passion with the residents at Isis House.

Joanne

Joanne Ray

Job Title: Deputy Manager Joined: 2025

Joanne joined the Trust as Deputy Manager and is delighted to be part of the OSJCT team, impressed by the dedication and long service of so many colleagues.


A registered nurse celebrating her 25th year since qualifying, Joanne trained at Oxford Brookes and has worked locally ever since. Her career has included roles at the John Radcliffe and Churchill hospitals, mainly in operating theatres, before moving into community care in 2011 where she worked with Continuing Healthcare and the Care Home Support Team.


Joanne is married to Nick and has two boys, as well as a full house of animals. In her spare time, she enjoys crafting—particularly sewing, knitting, and crochet—and loves restoring old teddy bears, many of which are as old as the residents she cares for.
