Mum been resident for repsite from hosputal 8 months ago but is now thankfully permanent. Well catered for and included. Allowed to make her own decisions. All staff are kind and compassionate to Mum and us all and very welcoming. Have made Mum's special occasions (birthdays, Mother's Day, diamond wedding) very special. Thank you - would recommend Mill House 100%
Thank you so much for your lovely review and recommendation.
We're delighted to hear that your mum has settled so well at Mill House and that she feels included, supported and able to make her own choices. It's especially lovely to know that celebrating special occasions like her birthday,...
My mother has been in the home for 2 years now and has always been well cared for. The home has been very helpful in keeping me informed on anything concerned with health and care. Plus, responsive to any questions recently. They have issued a lot more activities and excusion while has been much appreciated.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're so pleased to hear your mother has been well cared for during her time at Mill House and that you've felt kept informed and supported when needed.
Best wishes,Nicki
I feel it's a very safe environment for my brother.
Mum is well cared for and eating the best she has for ages. The food is very good.
All the staff are lovely, helpful, friendly and caring.
Thank you for sharing sharing your experience! We know how challenging it can feel when you're first looking at care homes, so it's really reassuring to hear that you felt comfortable and welcomed from the start. It's also so nice to know your mum is doing well and enjoying her food.
Your kind...
This care home is truly excellent. I hated having to put my husband of 63 years into a home. The staff are so caring, like a caring family. From the receptionist, to the secretary, the wonderful carers and attentive nurses, both male and female. The laundry comes back correctly, and the kitchen staff and chef provide beautiful food. The cleaners are really thorough. In my opinion, this can only be because the manager is overseeing it properly. Truly exceptional!!
Thank you so much for sharing such a thoughtful review. We're delighted to hear that your husband feels well cared for and that every part of our team has made a positive difference. Our staff work hard to provide attentive, compassionate care, and it's wonderful to know this has been reflected in your experience. Your kind words will mean a lot to the whole team!
Best wishes,Nicki
Although I have filled this in I haven't been around while my husband was in Mill House and he is not able to answer any of my questions. From meeting staff and spending several hours when first arriving at Mill House. I was very happy with what I saw and how my husband was welcomed. Nothing too much trouble. Room very comfortable and clean, really lovely staff at reception and all that I met. Very happy to leave my husband as I know he is happy amongst you all.
Everyone at the home friendly and helpful as always. My relative is clearly being well cared for and I much appreciate that, thank you. A facility I would welcome would be a small room with coffee/tea making facilities for visitors. I have a long journey and would welcome a drink but don't want to bother already busy staff with my requests. Unless of course a room exists which I don't know about?
A lovely home where the staff work together as a family in giving excellent care. Nicky the manager was so informative, gentle and caring when visiting my Uncle before he moved in. And Helen and Maria were always caring and helpful. The nurses and care staff are amazing in their care, not only when Uncle moved in but also during his final days, he was treated with dignity, love and respect. Visiting was a joy and whole home has a warm atmosphere and always someone around to offer cups of tea. I cannot thank the staff enough for their love and compassion towards me too, following my Uncle's passing. All staff regardless of their job care about the residents and take an active interest in them. Definitely would recommend Mill House
Thank you for taking care of my father in his final weeks at Mill House you made him comfortable and safe. Nicola, Helen and the team here are all fantastic and we would happily recommend Mill House.
Thank you for your review. I am happy my team and I could support your family. Warm wishes, Nicola
A very warm and caring home. Staff are fantastic. So friendly in there it's wonderful. The home manager is so warm and friendly. And the receptionist was so helpful to me.If my mother was still here I would love for her to be there.
Thank you for your kind words. Best wishes, Nicola
My visits to see my mother have been pleasing, to see she is in a kind, friendly environment. Her room and herself are well-kept and the staff are attentive and kind. She is well looked after.
Thank you for your feedback about your mothers' care. Best wishes, Nicola
Went to see my brother today 29/07/25 for his 84th birthday and the staff put on a lovely little party for him it was a fantastic afternoon. Can't thank all the staff enough for looking after him so will.
Thank you for your lovely words! I am so happy your brother had a fantastic birthday and it was a pleasure for my team to help make his day special.
A lovely home, a wonderful place. The care and staff go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. Nothing is too much trouble, always smiling and making the residents feel so good, would recommend Mill House in a heartbeat.
Thank you so much for your kind words, it means a lot! Kind regards, Nicola
We chose Mill House as a respite facility for our mother as it had been recommended to us for its wonderful family atmosphere. We are delighted by the warm, caring and helpful service my mother and we are receiving at Mill House. The staff have gone out of their way to make our mother feel welcome and comfortable, patiently attending to all her needs.
As a family, we were very happy with Mill House. Friendly staff and nothing too much trouble. Very clean in the main house and the bedroom. Always tasty food available. Always good to come home after a hospital visit. Very attentive by all staff in the last few days. Thank you.
I can honestly say that I cannot fault Mill House for anything during the months that my father was there. Nothing was too much trouble, and the care they provided was outstanding. My father felt safe, loved and happy and with dignity - we couldn't have asked for more. I will miss the amazing carers, nurses and staff who all do a fantastic job. I would highly recommend the nursing home to anyone.
The staff from cleaner to manager to nurse made a difference. Nothing was too much trouble and they were always there for him when he really needed them. he was always treated with dignity and the staff always had a great sense of humour and care that was just the tonic he needed. He was very happy there and the nurses were fantastic.
He was very happy there and the nurses were fantastic.
I would recommend Mill House in Witney to anyone who has a loved one that needs care.
All staff are always cheerful, friendly and helpful. Excellent food.
My father has been in Mill House for 2/3 months and the staff have been excellent and the care exemplary. Unfortunately, his dementia has worsened and we are moving him to a dementia care home. However, the managers and staff have handled this transition both professionally and with considerable tact and care, I would recommend them to any prospective family. The only issue is the building fabric which needs investigation but the quality of care consistently negates this for my family.
I would not hesitate to recommend Mill House and thank the staff for looking after my dad so very well and with compassion.

Nicki started working in Health and Social Care as a qualified Nurse in 1986. She worked on the Ophthalmology ward, ENT and ran outpatient clinics at St Georges Hospital in London. When Nicki moved to Oxfordshire, she worked as an agency nurse and discovered how much she enjoyed working in Nursing Homes. When she isn’t working, Nicki enjoys long country walks with her dogs, competitive cycling and climbing mountains such as Snowdon!
Words of encouragement from Nicki for someone looking for the right home would be: “It’s not the place, it’s the people that make a home. It has to feel warm, welcoming and comfortable.”
