Situated on the banks of the River Abbey, Abbey Chase Nursing Home is a 20th-century country-house setting that offers residential and nursing care. A true nature-lover's paradise, Abbey Chase is located within a quiet country retreat and surrounded by tranquil landscaped gardens. It's also characterised by original features, including an evergreen oak tree, octagonal carp pond, walled garden, orchard and a peaceful riverside walk. Situated close to Chertsey Town, Abbey Chase is easily accessible by the M25 and mainline station at Weybridge.

Abbey Chase offers first-class accommodation with modern facilities, and is registered for 62 beds. The inviting, centrally heated single and shared rooms have scenic views of the grounds and surrounding countryside, with some rooms featuring en-suite bathroom facilities. Care is always provided with dignity and individuality in mind. At Abbey Chase, focus is primarily placed on residential and nursing care, with a secondary focus on respite, dementia, and palliative & end-of-life care.

The team have been enormously helpful in handling my mum's transition into the home. They have reacted to her needs, wishes and occasional demands. The level of care is high with the staff being caring and friendly. Thus so far, very impressed. Keep it up!

The staff are always helpful but not always knowledgeable about several topics such as why do items of clothing continually go missing? medical matters? and recently when will the lift be repaired it was out of action for some three weeks, also staff changing can be confusing.

My husband is fairly well looked after - but is not encouraged to get into his wheelchair (as he is not very comfortable) - but could stay in it for approximately an hour. Because he is more or less bed bound and eats all the food, he has put on a tremendous amount of weight. Have tried on various occasions
for him to go on a diet but all they do is not give him puddings.
This is a home which is adequate but could do better.

I have been a resident for just about one and a half years and I feel the place is second to none. My conditions are fulfilled as the best possible. I suffer from MS for over 30 years and it is a condition that does not easily accommodate with family life. The alternate offered here is pleasant.

A very caring, friendly, and professional environment for looking after my father. He resides in a very clean well-ventilated sun room with private facilities and without a doubt he is very fond of all the excellent staff who look after him. There are many and varied activities the residents can get
involved in to keep them active both mentally and physically (if they choose). A lovely garden to wander round with a river to one side, wonderful setting. We spent a lot of time researching homes, we could not have been luckier to find Abbey Chase. Dad loves it, so do I.

My brother went into Abbey Chase Residential Care in Chertsey on the 8th August as he wasn't being properly looked after at home. He was very underweight and 'untidy' and had really lost the will to do anything. I wish you could see the picture of him last Saturday (just five days later) at their annual
Garden Party for residents and family - timed that well! Persuaded to leave his room, he ended up staying for nearly two hours and ate a plate of pork - only eats chicken and turkey breast! - and two eclairs! Thank you, Abbey Chase, for not only revitalising his appetite but his mind as well.
