My son of 47 suffered a stroke in July 2017 and, coupled with the Huntington Disease inherited from his father, he is very poorly and in need of constant care in every area of his needs. He does not know me and cannot even speak.

Abbey Chase has helped both of us in the dedicated care they give my son 24/7. Abbey Chase is the mother of care, fantastically managed and loving home.

This experience was respite for 1 week. It was entirely successful and there are no complaints whatsoever. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and there would be no hesitation in using this service again.

My mum has been in this care home for a few years now. The staff are amazing and go out of their way to make sure the residents are happy. So much so that they have arranged to take my mum swimming (which she adores and hasn't been for years). Mum is over the moon and so am I. If mum's happy, I'm happy. Can't stress enough, what a wonderful place this is. Another point, meal times. The dining room is set out as if it were a restaurant. The entertainment they have laid on is amazing and the Activities Organiser is the absolute best. In case you don't realise by reading this, but Abbey Chase, I love you - and so does my mum!

The nursing home is very good. My mother-in-law who has been particularly unwell, has been monitored and cared for very closely and kept extremely clean and tidy. She is very happy.

The team have been enormously helpful in handling my mum's transition into the home. They have reacted to her needs, wishes and occasional demands. The level of care is high with the staff being caring and friendly. Thus so far, very impressed. Keep it up!

The staff are always helpful but not always knowledgeable about several topics such as why do items of clothing continually go missing? medical matters? and recently when will the lift be repaired it was out of action for some three weeks, also staff changing can be confusing.

My husband is fairly well looked after - but is not encouraged to get into his wheelchair (as he is not very comfortable) - but could stay in it for approximately an hour. Because he is more or less bed bound and eats all the food, he has put on a tremendous amount of weight. Have tried on various occasions for him to go on a diet but all they do is not give him puddings.

This is a home which is adequate but could do better.

I have been a resident for just about one and a half years and I feel the place is second to none. My conditions are fulfilled as the best possible. I suffer from MS for over 30 years and it is a condition that does not easily accommodate with family life. The alternate offered here is pleasant.

A very caring, friendly, and professional environment for looking after my father. He resides in a very clean well-ventilated sun room with private facilities and without a doubt he is very fond of all the excellent staff who look after him. There are many and varied activities the residents can get involved in to keep them active both mentally and physically (if they choose). A lovely garden to wander round with a river to one side, wonderful setting. We spent a lot of time researching homes, we could not have been luckier to find Abbey Chase. Dad loves it, so do I.

My brother went into Abbey Chase Residential Care in Chertsey on the 8th August as he wasn't being properly looked after at home. He was very underweight and 'untidy' and had really lost the will to do anything. I wish you could see the picture of him last Saturday (just five days later) at their annual Garden Party for residents and family - timed that well! Persuaded to leave his room, he ended up staying for nearly two hours and ate a plate of pork - only eats chicken and turkey breast! - and two eclairs! Thank you, Abbey Chase, for not only revitalising his appetite but his mind as well.
