Hello. My name is Cristina. I am the Clinical Deputy Manager here at Ashford House.
I qualified as a nurse in Romania. In 2000 I started working with Barchester and in 2003 progressed to the role of senior carer while waiting for my PIN number.
I continued as a nurse afterwards. I’m grateful for the experience that I have gained working with Barchester to improve my skills and the training that has been provided by the company.
There have been challenges in the past but we remain focused on residents wellbeing as well as the well-being of our team and ourselves.

Senior Care Assistant
I started off working at Ashford House in 2019 as a kitchen assistant, a job which I very much enjoyed.
In 2021, I joined the housekeeping team as I felt I would like more time to get to know our wonderful residents. Since then, I have never looked back. I love my job and our residents, who I think are remarkable.
Our housekeeping team are amazing to work with and works tirelessly to keep our home immaculate. They take pride in their work and always go the extra mile for our residents. This is why in June 2025, I proudly took the job as Head Housekeeper.
