Ashford House Care Home has been amazing. The manager and the staff especially dad's carer have been so professional, kind and caring. I could not have asked for anything better. When the time comes I will hope to be a resident. P.s Everything is so clean! Very important.

Happy with the care, but sometimes they are short-staffed, which can sometimes affect the quality of care.

When I came to visit Dad, he was in the day room listening to the singer. Everyone, including Dad, was singing along; some were even dancing. It was so lovely to see. Some of the other people were telling of their experiences, which were very funny and entertaining.

Bringing mum to Ashford House from another care home was like a breath of fresh air. The home is extremely well managed and every single member of staff is very pleasant, attentive, efficient and available as needed. All the carers are genuinely caring and the activities reputation is well deserved. Food is plentiful, varied and attractive with

3 three-course meals per day with additional sandwiches later in the evening for any residents who need food then. The home is extremely clean and well decorated and smells fresh. In the few weeks that mum has been there, her mobility has improved and I'm now confident that mum is in a place where she is being looked after to the best of their ability.

We had to transfer dad to Ashford House at the height of the pandemic so it was not easy. The staff ensured we were kept up to date about everything so we were happy dad had settled in well. When were allowed to see him every effort was made to ensure our visits in the garden or Pod went smoothly. Dad seemed happy and content and we were aware that some staff went the extra mile to ensure he was well looked after in a friendly and dignified way.

Having met the manager and her relatively new team by Zoom on Friday 30th Oct my reaction was one of reassurance that Ashford House is in good hands! I am fortunate in having been able to (Covid secure) externally visit my partner regularly and have from a safe distance been able to 'interact' with various members of staff. This has been of such value to me; being reassured that best practice is being carried out in these challenging times, for the residents, staff and relatives. To say they all go the extra mile is truly an understatement.

Words almost seem inadequate to express the sterling job you are all doing but my "thank you" is heartfelt.

My dad has been in this home for three years with dementia. Before this home, I struggled to find him the right care. They have all been amazing, he has received the best care and I can't fault them in any way. I'm really happy with everything they do. What an amazing team. Highly recommended.

My father took residence at Ashford House in April 2019 when his dementia became too bad for him to remain at home.
I was very reluctant to have him placed into care, as I felt I was taking away his independence, but the staff at Ashford House encouraged him to join in with the activities and he was given every opportunity to mingle with the other residents (although, like at home, he generally preferred to stay in his room and watch TV!). Although he was always happy, his health deteriorated through cancer and dementia, and he passed away Christmas Eve. Throughout the bad times, the staff were always compassionate and caring and did everything possible to keep him comfortable.
They were a massive support to me as I live in France and continually felt helpless.

I cannot recommend the care home and staff enough - bright and cheerful building, and truly amazing staff.
