She needed full time supplementary oxygen support as she had Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis.
I'd like to pay tribute to the manager and all of their team at Arbrook House for the wonderful, care and support they provided Mum.
She was very happy there. Everyone, from the nursing and care staff, to the catering staff and the maintenance staff all deserve our praise and grateful thanks.
I have no hesitation in recommending Arbrook House to anyone considering a nursing or care home for their loved one.
Thank you for taking the time to leave your review. We are saddened to hear about your loss. It is lovely to hear that your Mum was very happy at the home. Hopefully you will go away from this feeling like your Mum received the best possible care. We will certainly pass your comments on to the manager.
Items marked good are not a downgrade but we are unable to utilise and have had no previous experience.
Thank you for taking the time to leave your review. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to make your loved ones stay as comfortable as possible.
My mother, a Quadriplegic with complex needs lived at Arbrook House for 8 years till her recent death at 104yrs. She was very happy, relaxed & comfortable there. She liked the friendly caring staff, her bright room, extensive grounds & fresh foods tailored to her needs. The ongoing physio support maximised her mobility. She could not have been in a better familiar place with her well trained care team who knew her well & were very practiced about End of Life care, working closely with the hospice. The home deserves its Outstanding CQC rating
Thank you for your lovely review. We are saddened to hear about your loss of your Mother. It is lovely to hear that your Mother felt happy, relaxed and comfortable at our home. It is always nice to hear words like "Friendly" and "Caring" being used to describe our Staff. Hopefully you will go away...
Mum's so happy living at Arbrook House Care Home. Her room looks over the gorgeous patio garden. She loves her visits down to the lake to feed the ducks. She enjoys her lunches with her table of friends. She particularly loves the harpist & the celloist when they do concerts. I wish there was a dedicated meal plan for diabetics. There must be a lot of residents with type 2 diabetes who would also benefit. She really enjoys her time with the physio who provides 1-2-1 sessions twice a week.
We appreciate you taking the time to leave us your comments. We are very happy to hear you can feel at ease with your Mum in our care. It is lovely to hear about Mum feeding the ducks at the lake. We hope to continue providing your Mum with the best possible care.
My mum moved into Arbrook House just over a month ago, under palliative care and I cannot express enough how much of a weight has been lifted off our shoulders. Despite her failing health, she is the happiest she ahs been in months and to see her so well looked after is true peace of mind. Every member of staff, from management through to the gardener, chef, handiman, cleaning staff and of course the wonderful carers and nurses has been outstanding in every way. Thank you.
It is so lovely to hear you are feeling at ease knowing your Mum is receiving the best possible care from all our staff at Arbrook House. We appreciate you taking the time to leave us your comments and will certainly pass them on to the home's manager.
I cannot rate the care, compassion and kindness shown to her by all staff highly enough.
Nothing has been too much trouble.
The patience of all the carers and the professionalism of all managerial staff is outstanding.
I was always made to feel welcome and no one was ever too busy to stop and chat with me.
I would especially like to mention the dignity that my mother was shown in her final days.
Thank you so much to everyone at Arbrook House.
Thank you for your lovely review. We are glad to help you and your family through such a difficult time. It is so wonderful to hear that your Mother received such high standards of care and support during her stay at Arbrook House. We are happy to hear you felt like a part of our Arbrook House...
Our family wanted to hold a 'Marriage Blessing' early for their father who unfortunately might not be around when the actual wedding takes place. The whole Arbrook team embraced this suggestion of an event and went over and above anything we had thought of. The events organiser put all his creative skills and energy into making the afternoon not only beautiful and moving but a day to remember forever. They even brought in a very talented harpist who played all afternoon.
Thank you for your lovely review. It is great to hear that Arbrook House Care Home did everything possible to make your day successful and that your father could be part of that. We hope to continue providing your loved one with the best possible care.
My husband was staying at Arbook House on palliative care, he only had 2 short months but in that time the care he received was excellent from the carers to the office staff, cleaners, laundry, and kitchen staff. In fact, everyone made him and us welcome. Nothing was too much trouble, I am so grateful to each and every one of you who made his final 2 months as comfortable as you could. Much love.
We appreciate you taking the time to leave us your comments. We are saddened to hear about the loss of your husband. It is always nice to hear from family members feeling like their loved ones were cared for and looked after. It is great to hear that the care you received was excellent.
We moved my father here when he lost his ability to walk at age 78. Although he may never get used to his new life completely, he has settled in well and we are so grateful for the sincere care he receives. My father has complicated health needs and we find the nurses do a good job of keeping his wounds and dressings clean and taking photos to keep track. The only thing I would change is that the carers could provide manual hands-on movement daily as he doesn't voluntarily move his own body. Also adding an in-home psychotherapist, masseuse and support during continuous care appeals by keeping more accurate and detailed notes would be helpful.
Thank you for your review. We are glad to help you and your family through such a difficult time. We have a genuine regard for all of our residents. We will discuss your feedback with the home's manager to help them continually improve their service.
Excellent care home, wonderful caring staff, great facilities, beautiful surroundings. I cannot recommend a more beautiful, wonderful place and it deserves 10 out of 10.
Thank you for your kind words. We are very happy to hear you can feel at ease with your loved one in our care. We hope to continue providing your loved one with the best possible care.
I have been here for 3 weeks and all I can say is that everyone was so kind and considerate, thank you. The food was wonderful. The carers and nurses were so understanding and patient, thank you. I feel so much better having stayed here for the 3 weeks, again thank you.
Thank you for your kind words. We are very happy to hear you could feel at ease in our care. Thank you for choosing Arbrook House for your stay.
Having seen my brother go through the horror of dementia, from a happy, functioning, healthy family man, whose life was curtailed between March and October 2024 in the cruellest way, with no ability to get much out of life, unable to communicate or react to family members. The staff of this lovely care home made it all bearable, with such care, humour and expertise and as important, sympathy. We couldn't have asked for better treatment, never to be taken for granted and so appreciated.
Thank you for your kind words. We are very happy to hear you can feel at ease with your Brother in our care. We hope to continue providing your loved one with the best possible care.
I find the staff and management excellent and the care I receive also. I cannot fault anything other than the quality of the meat supplied.
Thank you for taking the time to leave your kind words. It is always nice to hear from residents feeling like they are cared for and looked after. We will discuss your feedback with the home's manager to help them continually improve their service. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
As soon as I visited Arbrook House Care Home, with a view to my husband becoming a resident, I knew Arbrook was for us. From the start, my husband and myself and the members of our families have been treated with extreme kindness and respect. I have been able to feel secure during the 17 months knowing my husband was completely looked after.
Thank you for your lovely review. We are very happy to hear you can feel at ease with your husband in our care. Thank you for choosing Arbrook House for your Husbands stay.
I went to view Arbrook House with my wife and we were very impressed with the warm welcome we received. We were shown all the amenities that are available and the room that was being offered to us. The residen experience manager and all the staff we met and have since met have shown a very caring and positive manor as well as a professional approach. The house is kept in an immaculate state of cleanliness and the decoration is excellent, the grounds are a joy to see. My sister has been in Arbrook now for just over 5 weeks. She has a ground floor room which is ideal for her needs. She assures us that all the staff, whether nursing or caring, are very kind and very helpful. As a family we are delighted to see that my sister is happy and so well cared for.
Thank you for taking the time to leave the staff at Arbrook House Care Home such a lovely review. We are thrilled to hear that both your wife and yourself were impressed by the home's warm welcome and atmosphere. It is wonderful to hear our staff described as "positive", "caring" and...
My Father spent his final few months at Arbrook. The care he received was above and beyond. Residents are treated with kindness and respect. The management is approachable, available always, and responsive. Relatives are welcomed with open arms to have lunch and become part of the Arbrook family.
Thank you for taking the time to leave the staff at Arbrook House Care Home such a lovely review. Firstly, I would like to offer my condolences to you and your family on your Father's passing. We are pleased that in his final few months, the staff was able to provide some comfort and exemplary care to your Father. Thank you so much for being a part of the Arbrook family and best wishes.
Being sight impaired, her challenges are somewhat different maybe to others, so this was a consideration for us as a family choosing the correct environment for her. The staff were exceptional, they were kind, caring and treated Mum with dignity and empathy. Nothing was too much trouble. The home is fantastic, it's clean and has beautiful gardens which the staff ensured Mum enjoyed. There was entertainment every morning, lovely meals and I can honestly say she really didn't want to leave. I will always be grateful for the wonderful care you gave to Mum and want to thank the whole team at Arbrook, you are outstanding.
Thank you for taking the time to leave your review. We are very glad to hear the staff did everything possible to help your mum transition into respite care, and made sure she was always included within the home's activities. Thank you for choosing Arbrook House for your loved one's stay.
My husband was comfortable and happy when he stayed at Arbrook House from 30th May 2024 till 13th June. He was looked after well.
Thank you for your kind words. We are very happy to hear you can feel at ease with your husband in our care. Hopefully you will go away from this feeling like you received the best possible care.
My uncle's care and health needs are being very well looked after. 18 months after coming in and now aged 100 years he is in better physical and mental health than when he arrived. He is very happy. I have raised some concerns about the slow response of domiciliary services, which management are dealing with.
Thank you for taking the time to leave your kind review. It is always nice to hear from family members feeling like their loved one is cared for and looked after, we are very happy to hear you can feel at ease with your his in our care. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to make your uncles stay as comfortable as possible.
Although I never make personal recommendations, I consider Arbrook House Care Home offers the best of care that is available for my 94-year-old aunt. She has been a resident there for over two years and her health has improved under the care of the kind and helpful staff.
Thank you for your feedback. It is always nice to hear from family members feeling like their loved one is cared for and looked after to such excellent standards. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to make your aunt's stay as comfortable as possible.

Meet the Team (5)

I love working at Arbrook House. The team always make sure our residents are happy and feel at home. There’s plenty going on and we have strong links with the local community so feel free to pop in and speak to us anytime.

I am the Clinical Deputy Manager at Arbrook House, a role I stepped into on 8 August 2025 after joining Bupa in 2018. Since the beginning of my journey with Bupa, I have been committed to delivering high?quality, person?centred care and supporting the development of our teams.
I began my nursing career in the Philippines after completing my Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Wesleyan University. When I moved to the UK in 2002, I explored different areas of nursing, but it was within the care home sector that I truly found my calling. I was drawn to the continuity of care, the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with residents, and the ability to make a real difference in their quality of life.
My dedication to residents and colleagues was recognised early in my Bupa career. Just one year into my role, I was honoured to receive the British Empire Medal (BEM) from the late Queen Elizabeth II for my service during the COVID?19 pandemic. This recognition strengthened my passion for adult social care and inspired me to continue developing as a leader.
What I enjoy most about working in care is the privilege of making a positive difference every day. Being part of someone’s journey — especially at their most vulnerable moments — is something I truly cherish. I value the trust our residents place in us and the chance to support their families with compassion and reassurance.
Supporting my team is also a huge motivation for me. Helping others grow, guiding new nurses, and fostering a safe, positive environment gives me great fulfilment. Knowing that our care brings dignity, comfort, and joy to the people we look after gives my work deep meaning. For me, care is not just a job — it is a vocation.
I’m a proud mother of three wonderful children — Margarethe, Jericho, and Andrew — who inspire me every day. Family is central to who I am. Outside of work, I enjoy supporting Filipino organisations in the UK, taking part in cultural events, and promoting women’s empowerment, leadership development, and the growth of internationally educated nurses.
In my spare time, I love dancing, which helps me relax, express myself, and stay connected to my cultural roots. I also enjoy reading and attending professional development events that keep me inspired. Living locally in Esher allows me to stay closely connected to Arbrook House, our residents, and the team, giving me a strong sense of belonging and enabling me to support the home whenever needed.

I joined Bupa in June 2012 as a weekend receptionist at Wingham Court care home and stayed until 2017 when I was promoted to financial administrator and relocated to Arbrook House. In January 2024, I was promoted to resident experience manager and financial administrator at Arbrook House.
I enjoy working closely with residents and colleagues as well as meeting and supporting friends and families. It's fulfilling to be able to make a positive impact on their lives and create a supportive and caring environment.
Outside of work, I am very family-oriented and enjoy spending time with my loved ones. In my free time, I enjoy outdoor activities such as walking and meeting my friends for a catch-up. I also enjoy cooking different dishes for my family. I live locally and I appreciate the close-knit community and the opportunity to be involved in local events and initiatives.

I joined Bupa on 30th March and have been working as an Activities Coordinator since then. Although I am relatively new to the role, I have quickly developed a strong passion for creating meaningful and engaging experiences for residents.
Before entering the care sector, I worked primarily in trade and warehouse roles. However, during the COVID-19 pandemic, work in those industries became limited, prompting me to explore new opportunities. This led me to take on a role as a Healthcare Assistant, where I discovered a genuine interest and passion for supporting others. That experience inspired me to continue developing my career in care, ultimately progressing into my current role as an Activities Coordinator. I find the work incredibly rewarding and take great pride in contributing to residents’ wellbeing and quality of life.
The most fulfilling aspect of my role is knowing that I can make a positive difference to someone’s day. Whether through organising activities, providing companionship, or simply sharing a conversation, I value the opportunity to bring joy, comfort, and engagement to residents.
I live locally to the home and feel proud to be part of the Arbrook team, which I believe is one of the best care homes in the area. Outside of work, I have a strong passion for wildlife, nature, and photography. I enjoy spending my free time capturing landscapes and wildlife through photography, as well as staying active with hobbies such as boxing, hiking, wild camping, and exploring new places. I also enjoy learning new skills and continuously challenging myself both personally and professionally.

I am a registered general nurse and also a finance administrator.
I started working as a registered nurse for Arbrook House in January 2016 and have just celebrated my 10-year service with Bupa.
I am in my second year working as a finance administrator at Arbrook House.
I moved to the UK from the Philippines in 2009 and began my career in the care sector as a student, and began working as a care assistant. My experience in the care home sector inspired me to pursue professional registration as a nurse, allowing me to combine my nursing qualifications with hands-on health care experience.
In 2012, I became a registered nurse, and in 2015, I completed an MSc in Nursing and Healthcare at the University of West London. In 2016, I started working at Arbrook House as a nurse, and I have continued to grow professionally within the organisation ever since.
I am grateful to Arbrook House for the ongoing support and opportunities that have enabled me to develop my career and contribute meaningfully as a member of the healthcare team.
What I enjoy most is being able to use my skills and experiences to deliver the care and support that enables residents to meet their daily living needs. I also find it rewarding to support and work alongside colleagues, helping them to be effective and confident members of the care team.
Outside of work, I value spending time with my family and friends. Although my family is based in the Philippines, I am grateful for technology, which allows me to stay closely connected with them despite the distance. I also enjoy spending time with friends and relaxing at home, particularly watching films, which helps me unwind and reflect. I live locally to Arbrook House, and being part of the local community enables me to build strong connections with the people we support.
