The home provides a high standard of accommodation with tasteful decor and well-equipped rooms which include ensuite bathrooms, electric profiling beds, a 24-hour call system, flat-screen TV and broadband internet access. Some of the bedrooms have spectacular views over the lawns and all benefit from co-ordinated soft furnishings.

The food offered to the residents seems to be of good quality with a fair choice of options so I have no worry that my aunt isn’t being catered for. I am pleased she is in a safe and caring facility that balances her need for assistance in her day-to-day activities whilst affording her some privacy and dignity also. As a family we are very pleased with the care she is receiving and I know my aunt feels the same way too, though we know and understand she misses her own home deeply.

For the three years, my father lived at Arbrook House Care Home, two in palliative care, my family and I were most impressed by the dedication of all staff from whom nothing was too much trouble. They were always prepared to go the extra mile. This was never more apparent than in the distressing last few weeks of his life in April 2023. Not only did we feel he was having the best care he could possibly have in difficult circumstances but we were touched by the kindness and sympathy shown to us as well. It's a tribute to the management and all staff that our lasting impression of Arbrook House Care Home are positive ones at an otherwise sad time in our lives. Without doubt, they put the care in the term care home.

I am the Clinical Deputy Manager at Arbrook House, a role I stepped into on 8 August 2025 after joining Bupa in 2018. Since the beginning of my journey with Bupa, I have been committed to delivering high?quality, person?centred care and supporting the development of our teams.
I began my nursing career in the Philippines after completing my Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Wesleyan University. When I moved to the UK in 2002, I explored different areas of nursing, but it was within the care home sector that I truly found my calling. I was drawn to the continuity of care, the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with residents, and the ability to make a real difference in their quality of life.
My dedication to residents and colleagues was recognised early in my Bupa career. Just one year into my role, I was honoured to receive the British Empire Medal (BEM) from the late Queen Elizabeth II for my service during the COVID?19 pandemic. This recognition strengthened my passion for adult social care and inspired me to continue developing as a leader.
What I enjoy most about working in care is the privilege of making a positive difference every day. Being part of someone’s journey — especially at their most vulnerable moments — is something I truly cherish. I value the trust our residents place in us and the chance to support their families with compassion and reassurance.
Supporting my team is also a huge motivation for me. Helping others grow, guiding new nurses, and fostering a safe, positive environment gives me great fulfilment. I joined Bupa on 30th March and have been working as an Activities Coordinator since then. Although I am relatively new to the role, I have quickly developed a strong passion for creating meaningful and engaging experiences for residents.
Before entering the care sector, I worked primarily in trade and warehouse roles. However, during the COVID-19 pandemic, work in those industries became limited, prompting me to explore new opportunities. This led me to take on a role as a Healthcare Assistant, where I discovered a genuine interest and passion for supporting others. That experience inspired me to continue developing my career in care, ultimately progressing into my current role as an Activities Coordinator. I find the work incredibly rewarding and take great pride in contributing to residents’ wellbeing and quality of life.

I started working as a registered nurse for Arbrook House in January 2016 and have just celebrated my 10-year service with Bupa.
I am in my second year working as a finance administrator at Arbrook House.
I moved to the UK from the Philippines in 2009 and began my career in the care sector as a student, and began working as a care assistant. My experience in the care home sector inspired me to pursue professional registration as a nurse, allowing me to combine my nursing qualifications with hands-on health care experience.
In 2012, I became a registered nurse, and in 2015, I completed an MSc in Nursing and Healthcare at the University of West London. In 2016, I started working at Arbrook House as a nurse, and I have continued to grow professionally within the organisation ever since.
I am grateful to Arbrook House for the ongoing support and opportunities that have enabled me to develop my career and contribute meaningfully as a member of the healthcare team.
