Nestled within the quiet surroundings of Walton-on-Thames, Adelaide House care home offers personalised residential and nursing care to older people.

With sitting rooms and space for residents to pursue their hobbies and interests, Adelaide House has a host of places in which to relax, dine, exercise, socialise and be creative. My mum has settled into Adelaide House Care Home very quickly, she is 100% happy. The care she is receiving is excellent. This is down to the caring staff here. I would recommend this care home to everyone. Mum loves the food and activities.

After a recent visit, I can see improvements throughout the home, it is spotlessly clean, staff is very pleasant and always friendly. Food and drinks are always available and much laughter and chat with residents. We are very satisfied with the care and facilities provided.

My mother-in-law stayed at Adelaide House for five weeks. The care and attention they gave her was excellent. The home was light and bright. The staff are so caring and friendly. I would not hesitate to recommend Adelaide House to those looking for excellent care for a member of their family.

The staff are so professional and kind. My mum receives a high standard of care. If she is ever unwell or needs anything brought for her, they always let me know, so caring. She is well looked after and so healthy and happy here. Lovely atmosphere, happy (and clean). I really would never want her living

My friend had been looked after very well during her last stage in life. Adelaide House care team is an expert in terms of end-of-life pathway. She was comfortable until her last breath. My dad was transferred to this care home from hospital. The service he received was excellent and they couldn't have done more. The staff were very attentive to my dad and made his stay very comfortable and like being at home. Would highly recommend this care home. One member of staff in particular

From the first time my mother-in-law came to Adelaide she felt at home. The staff have been amazing. They supported my mother-in-law through some really tough times and thankfully my mother-in-law is now much better and ready to go home again.
The staff have given her time and made her feel safe and
cared for and for us as a family, the communication has been excellent.
All in all, we have found Adelaide a warm and caring home.

All good nice staff and friendly. They helped my mum very well when she stayed at Adelaide House. Mum was taken care of really well at Adelaide House. They are always helpful and polite, and happy.
My mum isn't always the easiest of people to care for, but the staff are super patient.

What does ‘kindness’ mean to you?


“Treating others the way I would like to be treated. We all have history to share, experiences which make us the way we are. Kindness has many forms, and we always should strive to be kind one to another.”


During his career in the health and care sector, Slawomir has gained a wealth of experience in providing care and nursing support to elderly people to enrich their lives. He is a knowledgeable and dedicated leader who is passionate about delivering the highest standards of care and quality of life for residents.


Talking about how he began his career, Slawomir says:


“I was originally supposed to be a banker in my home country of Poland but didn’t love finance and decided to try something different. I started as a carer in 2005, fell in love with the profession and have never looked back.”


Having now worked in the care sector for many years, Slawomir closely shares HC-One’s vision in aiming to provide the kindest care for each and every resident. He extends this caring approach to his colleagues and works closely with them to deliver care and support to residents in a way that they gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.


When asked what he enjoys most about his role, Slawomir remarked:


“I love my work, I describe it as my calling, and could not imagine my life any other way. Every day is different and small things lead to huge differences in the lives of my residents.”


Outside of work, Slawomir enjoys a range of hobbies, spending time with his family, travelling and living life to the fullest.
