My friend had been looked after very well during her last stage in life. Adelaide House care team is an expert in terms of end-of-life pathway. She was comfortable until her last breath. Adelaide House communicates very well with family. Very approachable people and welcoming. This place is highly recommended.
My dad was transferred to this care home from hospital. The service he received was excellent and they couldn't have done more. The staff were very attentive to my dad and made his stay very comfortable and like being at home. Would highly recommend this care home. One member of staff in particular was excellent. Thank you for everything.
A good, kind and effective team make the residents very comfortable for those in need.
A friendly place to visit.
The home and staff have been excellent and also been very caring to not just the residents but also the relatives. I would highly recommend this home.
We are incredibly grateful for the service and dedication to the care of my mother over the last few months. Her happiness and wellbeing were nurtured and entertained. Thank you very much to the staff at Adelaide care home.
The staff have given her time and made her feel safe and cared for and for us as a family, the communication has been excellent.
All in all, we have found Adelaide a warm and caring home.
The home is spotless and very welcoming to a very high standard.
Rooms have lots of space and have all the things you would need, very helpful staff.
All good nice staff and friendly. They helped my mum very well when she stayed at Adelaide House. Mum was taken care of really well at Adelaide House. I could not say anything but a very big thank you to Adelaide House team. You are doing an amazing job. My mum said that she did not feel that she was alone, people always make time and say 'hi, how are you?'. Adelaide House is a very happy home and an excellent care home.
They are always helpful and polite, and happy.
My mum isn't always the easiest of people to care for, but the staff are super patient.
The facilities are really good, and engage with the residents in many activities.
Mum was moved from a ground floor garden view room during her stay to a room on the top floor which is meant to be the most expensive room, it is fine if someone is able to move around but as my mum was bedbound the room isn't that great as the windows are not visible from the bed height and the bed is positioned against a wall.
The staff member at the reception is an excellent point of contact (friendly and informative) and other members of staff were polite and called me by name.
Negatives:
1) Weekend access: Could family be given a monthly access code?
2) Being asked for a review on a tablet within hours of my mum's passing and her belongings in a bin bag!
Thank you for your review, we value all feedback as this helps us to improve our service where required. We are deeply sorry you were asked to complete a survey so soon, and that your Mother's belongings were not treated with consideration. Regrettably, for security reasons, we are unable to share...
My mother now feels comfortable in Adelaide House and sees it as her home. She finds the staff very friendly and caring. The room is always kept clean and her needs are seen to promptly. As her daughter, I always find the staff very approachable. She finds the food quite pleasant. Any problems and maintenance issues have been dealt with promptly.
Came for Xmas dinner with Mum. We had a lovely meal - we always find all the staff very friendly, patient and kind to Mum. Happy with her room and happy with the care given to Mum. We feel Mum is in a safe, caring environment.
Staff always ready to help when I take mum to walk when weather is better.
Lovely staff and great care for my aunt, would recommend this home. Very clean with nice food and could always speak to staff on the phone about my aunt. The home has a cosy feel and the staff are very kind.
We were thrilled to be able to meet with our dear friend as a group of friends as we did before she came here. It was fantastic to be together and the staff have been awesome, friendly and accommodating. Make you feel very welcome.
Visit my friend once a week. Generally find her well looked after, and not complaining about too much. Think the home is well-run, and very friendly, helpful staff are always available.
Staff great.
In the short period my father was here, he was treated very well, with dignity and respect. Many thanks.
Friendly.
I found the care, the staff and the atmosphere at the home wonderful. My mum was very happy there and I would definitely be using them again for respite care. Nothing was too much trouble and the staff are happy and kind.
