Mum has been at Holly Lodge for over 18 months now. I had looked at several homes beforehand and I'm so pleased I chose Holly Lodge.
Once Mum was accepted I was initially impressed by the fact everyone knew her name and mine too. Might seem a small thing but it meant a lot and when I say everyone, I mean management, admin staff, nurses, carers, activities team, domestic and kitchen staff.
The place is so clean, bright and friendly. The carers are so kind and work so hard. Mum can be a little difficult at times because of her dementia, but nothing is too much trouble for the wonderful staff.
Everything is geared towards the residents living in the moment and there is a variety of daily activities to keep them occupied. Mum has never been so busy!
She particularly enjoys the weekly concerts when she can get up and have a dance with other residents and staff. The food is good and the rooms are bright and comfortable.
Great gardens. Very secure.

I am free to visit any time day or night.

My Mum has been at Holly Lodge for over 6 months now. Settling in took quite a long time, with different challenges along the way. Staff are very welcoming when we visit, keeping us up-to-date, showing great kindness and care for Mum. We, as visitors, are always made to feel welcome and we have been able to use the 'family room' for a couple of small family gatherings. Due to Mum's condition, she isn't able to make use of all the facilities and activities put on at Holly Lodge but the staff do try and include her where appropriate.

I was reassured and pleased to observe first hand the courtesy and kindness exercised by staff to our relative in the last few weeks of his life. They were considerate and supportive of my daughters and were prepared to give information and explanations of actions that were taken to make him as comfortable as possible. They showed sensitivity and compassion. Thank you.

My cousin has been in Holly Lodge for over a year now. She was very reluctant to start, determined not to join in. Now, she loves it and cannot believe how lucky she is to be in such a beautiful place. The stsff are amazing, the meals and service are brilliant and ,to our surprise, she joins in with activities.

In her muddled mind, she thinks she is in a lovely hotel, which says it all, doesn't it?

Holly Lodge provided exceptional care for my mother for 2 1/2 years. The staff showed exceptional care and respect for Mum as her health became weaker. Mum enjoyed so many activities at Holly Lodge, we were so grateful for all the staff for the love and care which they showed to Mum and the other residents. We are very happy to recommend Holly Lodge.

I have been very impressed with the level of care shown to my mum and the variety of activities she has been encouraged to participate in. The staff have always been ready to help and with a smile. I find it difficult to find any fault with Holly Lodge, and so pleased Mum spent her last few years here. Thank you very much.

Mum has been a resident at Holly Lodge for five months. She has settled extremely well. Her anxiety levels have dropped dramatically, due to the skills of the nursing team and genuinely caring and polite staff. The catering team produce a wide variety of appetising and nutritionally balanced food. The entertainment staff are always cheerful and have a great variety of activities on offer. They produce a news paper, which keeps residents connected to their loved ones. There are also places for those who enjoy quiet time. The beautiful gardens are easily accessible. Visitors are encouraged and welcome to call at any time. The cleaning staff keep everything spotless. Mum has regular visits from the lovely doctor, chiropodist and hairdresser, and enjoys having a manicure. Her personal hygiene is well managed and she is always neatly presented. The management team are efficient, helpful and approachable. I cannot fault this very caring home and would recommend it without hesitation.

We're pleased with the care and attention our Mum has received. The staff are attentive, aware of her needs and respond to Mum in a kind and caring way with dignity and respect. Even if the staff are busy with other residents, they keep any eye out for anything else that is happening and respond quickly and appropriately. The home is always spotlessly clean and tidy with a lovely atmosphere. We've been kept fully informed and updated about Mum and included in conversations with the doctor, outcomes of any other discussions and ongoing follow-ups about how she is progressing and what we can do to help. The Activities Team are well led, full of energy, good fun and provide such a variety of activities to suit everyone. The array of outside entertainers and visitors provided is second to none and it's good to see that they are inclusive of all residents. Holly Lodge is well led and managed and provides a safe and caring environment. We couldn't have chosen a better home for our Mum.

My wife very recently passed away at Holly Lodge. She had lived there for almost 16 months and in that time I was able to visit my wife around 900 times. I can honestly say that throughout my visits all the staff at Holly Lodge and especially the manager.
have greeted me with nothing but support and kindness. But that same kindness has been amplified even greater in the care of my wife. Her smiling at them right through to her final days gave us the reassurance that we had chosen wisely.

Our very deep and heart felt thanks go out to everyone at Holly Lodge from our household.

Holly Lodge is an excellent care home for those who suffer from dementia. The care that my mum has received since she arrived in October has been amazing and she is thriving there.
The day to day care is fantastic and the activities team are superb and have reignited my mums love for art and creativity. Holly Lodge is very clean and the carers are so kind, thoughtful and always around to help in any eventuality. My mum is declining with her dementia and they have been so attentive to her and I know that she is being cared for.

I only wish I had found it earlier as it's as home from home as it can be for my mum, thank you.

The care that Mum receives at Holly Lodge is absolutely excellent. The care home is spotless and very well run. There are always lots of carers on duty and everyone is very friendly: the manager, nurses, care assistants, receptionists and chef. All are visible and highly approachable. Visitors are made to feel very welcome and are able to participate in the activities with the residents. Mum's dementia needs are now quite severe but I am completely reassured that she is getting the support and care that she needs. I feel very lucky that we have found Holly Lodge and would highly recommend it.

When my friend was admitted to Holly Lodge 2.5 years ago, after caring for her for years I felt really sad that I could no longer manage. I need not have worried that although I miss her so much she is happy and well cared for. Holly Lodge is such a happy, welcoming and friendly place. All staff are very kind and caring plus make friends and family feel at home and inform us of any concerns. Thank you.
