Norfolk House

The environment is a happy one and he seems very content.

The food is good too.

My sister is always happy when I see her. Staff are always helpful so all in all I am happy to know that my sister is in a home where she is cared for.

Dad has settled down after a while and is much happier now. Thank you

I visited on Wednesday. He was in his room, from choice, which was clean, airy and comfy. He looked well.

My mother is very well looked after at Norfolk House. She doesn't like the fact that she needs caring for but couldn't ask for better care. All of the staff are extremely professional and friendly. I visit regularly and always talk to the staff, and am made welcome.

We have days out - entertainment etc.

All staff in all grades and cleaners etc are very kind and patient at all times. All the general rooms, lounge etc are clean and warm. I cannot fault anything at present. Garden is a pleasure to be in when the sun shines. Entertainment is good for residents to have a song and dance. In all good service from reception to 2nd floor. Would recommend home as excellent.

My husband has always been treated with concern and dignity at Norfolk House. I am welcomed by name at every visit and feel relieved that my husband seems settled, though I realise he can be difficult to manage at times.

It has taken a while for Mum to settle down but during this period staff have been very patient and understand the needs of someone with dementia. They are always aware of who I am when I go and visit and always know exactly where Mum is, such as in her room or in an activity. I am impressed that they have activities on a daily basis, compared to some other care homes that don't organise anything. When she wasn't eating they asked about the foods she liked to try and encourage her.

All the carers I have been in contact with during this time, have been very caring and he has been treated with kindness and consideration.

My mother is confined to bed and armchair and I wish to praise the care home for the excellent care they have been providing to my mother and father! Over the time she has been there. The staff are always caring and cheerful and most important of all humane. Ther home is really well run making our decision to move her there one of the best we have ever made.

The food here is getting worse. Meals are cold and not much variety. I am having to take in food so Mum doesn't go hungry.

There are always numerous activities organised by two very dedicated activity coordinators. Office staff and reception staff are very helpful and professional, also very good laundry service.

My mother has been in Norfolk House for over two years. Any problem I have had has always been sorted out.

All in all, I would not hesitate to recommend it to others.
