Puttenham Hill House provides round the clock residential and nursing care for short or long term needs. The home offers all forms of short stay care including palliative and convalescence.

Stays can be from a few weeks to experience living at the home, a month while recovering from an operation or a more long-term move. Advance bookings available (up to 6 months).

An elegant 1920s former private residence, Puttenham Hill House has spacious bedrooms and two beautifully decorated lounges and a large activities room.

Outside, the well-maintained grounds are ideal for wheelchairs. Residents can enjoy a little light gardening in the summer months. It feels very much like home, based in a peaceful area, surrounded by beautiful grounds and wildlife.

A wide range of nutritionally-balanced meals are freshly prepared daily and every effort is made to cater to individual tastes. Residents can either choose to dine outside in the summer when the weather permits, take meals in the dining room or in the comfort of the bedroom.

Puttenham Hill House is a small community with a friendly atmosphere. Regular meetings are held with residents and relatives to listen to views and ideas. And there’s no pressure to join in with activities; residents are always free to choose what to do.

The activities coordinator ensures that activities to suit all interests and levels of mobility are always available, from music concerts and exercise classes to history talks and reminiscence sessions.

I have now been here one year and my daughters and I are very pleased we chose this home. It is not too big at all and is in a building that originated as a country home which gives it a homely feeling and appearance. The management and the staff are very pleasant, kind, willing and helpful and hardworking
and include a trained RN. The food is good and adequate, the building is well cleaned. The resident's laundry is done on-site.

My husband has been at Puttenham Hill House for eleven years and has always been well cared for by lovely staff, who have treated him as a human being and not just another resident. It is a very happy and friendly home, and I would recommend it to anyone.

Lovely place, lovely people and thanks for letting me sleep! Especially appreciate the high toilet seat, without which I would have been in a lot of trouble.
Bed very comfortable, lovely view from my room.
Staff very kind and thoughtful, without exception.

On June 4th I went to my mother's home to celebrate The Queens Jubilee. The staff had put so much work into ensuring the residents and families had a lovely day. The home has a lounge/dining room and activities room. The home is clean and has a lift to help get around. The garden has many large trees and has access in good weather with a super deny tree which blossoms each year. There is easy parking for us.

This home is excellent my grandmother has been her some time now the staff are brilliant and spend time with her, they know her very well. During COVID they have kept us fully informed I would highly recommend this caring home.

In the five or more years that I have been visiting my friend, the staff have been consistently helpful and friendly. During Covid, there has been great attention to keeping the residents safe, though this may have been to their visitors!

Following my wife's admission to Puttenham Hill House Care Home during lockdown mid-May 2020, due to strict adherence to covid-19 infection control, they have kept her safe. I have found the staff to be friendly and very willing to help during these most stressful 15 months. Easing of restrictions plus
personal visits has improved morale drastically. As well as appreciating the dedication of all care staff, I wish to record my thanks to the Activity Facilities Coordinator who always remained positive and cheerful.

My mother has been a resident at Puttenham Hill House since August 2019, the care mum receives is exceptional. The staff treat her with the greatest respect and dignity. We as a family have noticed such an improvement in Mum's mental health since she went to live at Puttenham Hill House. She seems to
have gained a new lease of life, it is so lovely to see her smiling, laughing and reciting poetry as she once did. The communication between staff and our family has been excellent, especially in this last year of Covid restrictions.

Always welcoming, prior to Covid. Everyone is friendly and the care is very good, just wish a little faster with bedpan. If I should call reception it is health with promptly and friendly.

Looking after Mum very well, she is very happy here. They are doing all they can to make Covid visits as safe and as comfortable as possible, and let you know if visits cannot take place because of Covid and arrange a Zoom meeting instead, so you can still have a chat with Mum.

My Nan has been a resident for 3-years now, and I honestly have not seen her this happy in years. Considering she was close to passing when she moved in, she has bounced back with life and happiness thanks to the great care you have provided for her. In the few short months my mum was a resident at Puttenham Hill House, the staff and carers were so lovely (as were the nurses) who were all so friendly. It was a great atmosphere. The entertainment/activity coordinator obviously enjoyed laying on all sorts of fun and activity and also arranged a face
to face video link with my mum, which I feel went above and beyond her normal role. I and my family would like to extend our appreciation to all the carers etc who looked after mum with care, dignity and "love" at a time when we could not be with her. Thank you all.

My mother was offered Puttenham Hill House as one of several options in January for palliative care following the return of her cancer. We chose Puttenham Hill as it appeared the most friendly, bright, and homely of those we viewed and with welcoming staff. In Mum's 3 month stay, we have not been disappointed,
and even during COVID-19, the staff has been excellent. We hope they all stay safe and continue the good work.
